    ProjectDIY - YOU REALLY PISSED ME OFF! - Let me explain why 😁 I'm 53, After watching your video, i was pretty sceptical and it was one of those things that sat in my craw.
    I kept thinking no way would Toyota screw us on speakers, anyways three weeks of irate thought of "He might be right" every time i listened to my music.
    Long story short and one long trip of 3hours in the car listening to "wife music" and I pulled the trigger on my Amazon order and ordered exactly what you said.
    Arrived in due course and all thru the install I kept muttering "Fkin know it all" and "What would you know!? - I was the DJ" and "I know my speakers"
    Well as soon as I removed the Toyota ones, I was even more irate, YOU WERE RIGHT!!
    I installed and tested each one and just quietly to test there was sound, then went to the next one - God help me, the wife had Celine freaking Dion playing ua-cam.com/video/YT5q4h26-bQ/v-deo.html
    But thats another story, the song itself is a great test bed for the speakers!
    Install done, Tested Celine out and WOW!!!!! YOU WERE SOOOOOOOOO RIGHT! Celine belting out her song and I have to say I am THOROUGHLY IMPRESSED!
    😆😆😆😅😂😂
    Absolutely amazing sound! Totally worth it! Thank you from Auckland New Zealand!
    Have an awesome week! now time for some AC/DC! 😅🤣
    P.S Anyone wondering about the quality of these JBL's - I was a DJ and worked with all manner of speakers over 20yrs - ProjectDIY knows his stuff!

    Hey man great video! Quick question I got a 2016 rav4 and it has the dash holes for the speakers but nothing there not even the wire do I need to run a wire to the head unit? Or just to the door speaker is fine.? Is there some base models that don’t come with the dash speakers? Or do all of them do? I’m pretty confused

      Thanks for watching! I would just run wires to the head unit, that would be m much easier. I’m sure there are some models that don’t have the dash speakers.

    The OEM tweeters from Toyota are a real trash,my Highlander 2021 LE have a basic speakers,so the front speakers is not to bad,but the tweeters and rear speakers are like 10$ speakers a crap, so I'm decide replace the tweeters for 3.5 Infinity and also 2 Memphis dome tweeters 1 inch,so the rear doors speakers are replaced for a Eclipse 6.5 and sound 40% more better, good video man👌🏽✌🏽

    I did the Kicker tweeters for my 2019 Toyota Sienna SE and what details they produce in the mids and highs but I already have full range drivers in the front doors and rears so I think the JBL are a nice option as well. EnTune Premium 3.0 System is fine for me but now I want to upgrade the other speakers as well ...

    I have distortion from those JBL Club 322F for my 2023 Toyota rav4 with the included Metra wire harness. Still distorted on high volumes, any solution to this?

    • @ProjectDIY2
      @ProjectDIY2  Рік тому

      Hard to say for sure. Could be your head unit. I haven’t noticed any distortion from mine.

      Solder on bass blockers to the positive wire on the harness.

    I think those are tweeters. They are just for high frequencies. Tweeters are small.

    • @ProjectDIY2
      @ProjectDIY2  3 місяці тому

      Agreed, they are tweeters.

    Why a lot of video with this JBL speakers? They have impedans 3Ohm and stock 4Ohm, it could lead to problems on high volume even damage signal source...

    • @ProjectDIY2
      @ProjectDIY2  8 місяців тому +3

      Your point is valid, however, I’ve not heard of anybody having an issue.

    • @W122ard1
      @W122ard1 8 місяців тому +1

      @@ProjectDIY2 yes, it could be, but proper signal source should have some logic to prevent it. So i think in general its fine, still order 4Ohms speakers for myself

    • @Fiftyfive45
      @Fiftyfive45 29 днів тому +2

      Lower impedance only draws more power from the Head unit amplifier. The only issue would be louder than it should as compared to the door speakers, affecting the stage, the high frequency signal from the oem will not drive the 3” cone to get any benefit other than better tweeter sound with some beaming of the 3” speaker upgrade

    If the factory speakers are really only tweeters then either they have a filter on the + terminal or the I receiving a filtered signal from the amp. Do you know if the signal going to those factory tweeters are already filtered? Thanks

    • @ProjectDIY2
      @ProjectDIY2  Місяць тому

      There wasn't a filter on the speaker and from what I understand, these "tweeters" are wired in series with the door speakers so I don't think they are filtered from the head unit either. In my case, I have an aftermarket head unit so I know for sure they were not filtered. Interesting question though! Thanks for watching!!

    Well, those are actually aren't speakers but tweeters, the entire sound system in this rav4 is called component, tweeters should't have any bass and only handle highs. Real dash speakers would soak up way too much power out of head unit and would underpower door speakers. Also, door speakers are one way speakers and only serve as mid range and lows.

      OMG you’re one of those technicality people.
      Definition of Tweeters: *A tweeter or treble speaker is a special type of loudspeaker (usually dome, inverse dome or horn-type) that is designed to produce high audio frequencies, typically deliver high frequencies up to 100 kHz.* meaning it’s a speaker
