I hope this doesn't sound sexist, and I'm not even saying it's a bad thing, but I think the evolution of the workplace and the sharing of the same jobs in corporate environments has very much leveled the playing field. There's more of a competitive air to the relationship between men and women. The dynamic is just different now

I’ve never seen this standup routine before. I had no idea after all these years that this is where the “gotcha b!tch” sound clip came from. I’ve heard it so many times, and never knew where it came from.

Also, exception to what Dave said: If I had the money, I would definitely get a nice car, with all the newest bells and whistles, just because I want it. My 2005 Corolla is nice, and it gets me where I want to go, but its speedometer isn’t projected on the windshield, it doesn’t have a thermal imaging display that highlights pedestrians and animals that the headlights don’t illuminate, it doesn’t have adaptive ride height and traction control, isn’t AWD, doesn’t have a backup camera, doesn’t have heated seats and steering wheel (living in Canada, it would be nice to have), the seats can’t massage my back, and I can’t connect my phone to it with Bluetooth. I had an opportunity to drive a car with all of that a while ago, and it was really cool. I think it was the latest Jeep Grand Cherokee or something. The only advantage my Corolla has over that is that it probably uses less gas, which is actually really good when gas is $1.73/L, and I have a better sense of where it is in a lane while I’m driving it. If I could afford it, I would definitely get the latest and greatest. Not even to impress anyone, but just for my own comfort and convenience.

Nah Dave is right. Women killed chivalry. I had a few exes (all of completely different personalities and perspectives) all tell me that they don't appreciate when I'm being a gentleman. I mean they hated when I would pull their chairs out, open and hold doors, and the like for them and they still couldn't give me a good answer as to why besides "it hurts my ego" essentially

In the end isn't it Women that sets the market? I mean they are the market for men, so we try to emulate what they want? If chvalry is dead it might be couse women ain't drawn to it. They may like it but it may not get the (at least short tearm) results.
They are still drawn to it. But the same outcome can now be achieved with other methods that don't take as much investment and don't leave you as vulnerable.

3:30 --- I'm a man, so maybe my opinion doesn't mean anything, but I wish every woman in America could read a study I saw like 30 years ago about fashion magazines and the detrimental effect they have on women's psyches and self-esteem. If that study was made more widely available, all of those bullshit magazines (which aren't anything but collections of ads, which you PAY FOR) would go under in 6 months. They're bad for a reader's self-image -- stay away from them. They only make you feel like shit.

Women killed chivalry when they started trolling on men of opening door’s for them on social media, an saying things like they don’t need a man. An some how correlated chivalry with masculinity or toxic masculinity. 🤷🏻♂️ so sure there are men still being chivalrous to there partners. It’s just a sad state of affairs that man have been extra cautious about every little thing they do. In case it’s taken the wrong way by some intitled women just because she wants to post something bad about men on her social media account, to be on the current trend.
