@@CadetFD yeah well except he wasn’t, that’s kinda the point, there were other options that he discarded because they weren’t what he wanted. If all he wanted was his freedom, he could’ve stopped in chapter 131. If all he wanted was to save Paradis, he could’ve stopped at 130. If all he wanted was to save his friends, he also only had to stop at 131. But Eren wanted to do more, he wanted to wipe the whole world clean despite not needing to. Not to mention he needed to end the Titan curse, which could only be achieved through Mikasa making the choice to kill him. He had several goals with varying levels of importance to him. But in no way were all of those goals necessary, they were simply what he wanted.

I love how well “My War” and “My Enemy” actually sounded mashed up but seeing the parallels between both Eren and Jinx made it even 10x better

@skips it's what eren felt that he *needed* to do. eren figured that if everybody else that's not eldian isn't fucking dead then eldia will never be free from this war that's been going on for however many years it has been. no, eren wasn't forced; but it's definitely *not* what he wanted. eren has always knew that this path was wrong, but that doesn't stop him. he feels that he knows what has to be done. yeah no shit it's not what he HAD to do, but you a man's beliefs are a man's beliefs. if he thinks that he needed to kill off the entire rest of the world, then that's wtf he thought.

Favourite part has got to be the 4:20, the quieted music slowly building up into the enraged roar, added with the 'coming for you' between Eren and Jinx screaming is absolutely fantastic. One of the very few mashups that work shockingly well when done right! Kudos to you Andy!!

The mashup itself is crazy amazing and accompanied by these well-cut visuals is just another level.
It really links the similarities between the two characters from two different shows.
It shows us that both characters are insane, but at least one is justified (Jinx)
Dpedro the guy saved his people and if he didn't all of his people on the island would slowly be killed out he was the evil the people needed to save them. Erin could have took eveyone else's titan powers stoping anyone to be able to stop him from the rumbling but he didn't because he wanted eveyone to kill him so they would show the world they want peace he sacrificed himself (and a few hundred) for world peace I think anyone would take that even if it was for 100,000 lives

My two favorite shows of all time, Jinx, a slave of the past, and Eren, a slave of the future, they are so similar, and the intro songs are the best work together!

I love how good Shinsei Kamattechan's "My War" and Imagine Dragons' "Enemy" sounded mixed together, with a little touch of "The Rumbling" by SiM. But what's even, even better, it's seeing the parallels between Eren Jaeger and Powder/Jinx, they are different, but so much the same at the same time. 100/100 to AnDyWuMUSICLAND, you are a crack and a genius in this music video.

Jinx does not play the victim, her adopting the name Jinx is proof of that. She obviously feels regret for killing her foster family, and she realized how she fucked up. It’s what Mylo called her, and said she Jinx’s every job. Her adopting that name shows how she knows how much of a fuck up she is. Jinx choosing to push Vi away at the end was a smart move because she realizes how far she’s gone and she can’t fix that. This was after she accidentally Silco, her other father figure, because she knows she’ll end up hurting her sister like everyone else. So no, Jinx does not play the victim.

Again i agree that she's a tragic figure, i just disagree with how Eren and jinx are being compared. Eren was never the devil, completely innocent (Until where the Zeke Eren Paths arc but that is still not his fault, the world is trying to kill him for existing, he is merely defending himself and his friends) While Jinx has no one but herself to blame for her current state, sure she had it bad but i would have considered that if she was not the murderer of her family and potential peace for Piltover and Zaun. and she wouldnt hurt her sister either if she stopped acting like a stupid brat but i understand your point on shes too far gone.

This is so incredible, but the one detail that actually made my jaw drop was the very end. The exact moment when Jinx and the Colossal Titan step down, and in BOTH instances it results in a crushed butterfly.
I remember watching Arcane and definitely getting some similar vibes to Attack on Titan, but boy the similarities REALLY run deep

the symbolism from both shows so perfectly match with one another. both are forced into the roles they are set to play, in turn, they finally start to free themselves then it backfires in irony. watching both characters from their youth to their present, viewers sympathize with the circumstances put against them. from that, none us can truly blame them for what they do because of the fact that that's only what they know and/or are forced to do.
Eren wasnt forced , he forced himself by basically writing his whole life and path with the founding titan , but i get your point , he was forced to do that , for his own people , for their freedom , so there really was only one way.

Eren was enslaved by his destiny and he just was fulfilling what he saw in his memories. Eren for his whole existence in the manga and anime had questionable morality, in the first season his comrades started questioning that (see the court scene and also the scene where he saved Mikasa). Whole series is full of shenanigans that added to worsening Eren's mental stability. Death of his mother, the fact that he ate his father, awful memories from the memory loop, feeling of hopelessnes because he seems to be unable to change the future he saw, death of Hannes, his (basically) uncle. Death of other people, becoming a titan, having his whole worldview shattered by learning the truth in the basement. You literally can see his gradual descent into madness (see the last episode of season 3 and the start of the final season where he started to really become angry at everyone during his jail time) and demonic anger towards the world that is against him.
And Jinx from her early childhood witnessed death of her family and civil war. As a frail and delicate person her only to feel stable was Vi. And then all this hell happened because Jinx already had severe mental problems (see the scene where she experienced severe hysteria and panic mode when vi ordered her to stay and not interfere during the attempts to save Vander). The people who were killed by her accident were haunting her literally and she had severe hallucinations. And again, whe was exposed to literal gang boss (Silco) who poured his ideals into her during her teens. Then, she was exposed to toxic water and after that, the crazy doctor stuffed her blood with shimmer, completely destroying her mind.
It's not about ignorance or something, it's just these two were both a byproduct of the cruel world and became monsters. If you paid attention to the both series you would know that.
Not everything is black or white, nor everything must have happy and easy resolutions. Sometimes reality is messy and difficult and many people are not perfectly mentally sound in such cases. You should know that if you're not a little kid but a mature and thinking person.
I can't focus on the mashup because the video editing is captivating as hell. I also did not expect the new AOT op "The Rumbling" to be included here. You never dissapoints!!!
I never knew I needed to hear this but it was epic mixing these songs together and adding bits from the rumbling made it so much better, the visuals were awesome too. This whole thing was absolutely amazing

what i love most is that eren could've started his war whenever he wanted since he was undercover but didnt until they declared war. i know he knew when marley would declare war because of the attack titans' power but it just shows how everything he did was to DEFEND paradi, not to just start a meaningless war. marely started everything but eren finished it in self defense
