I have the regular K2. The regular K2 doesn't have the rubberized coating on it. So if you want the rubberized coating, get the K2 plus.
You'd think someone, somewhere, would have said this extremely simple statement. Thank you for explaining the only difference between the K2/K2+.
@@max796428 In the video it is said exactly like in this comment around second 38.
So which is better? K2 or K2+? Surely one is better than the other?
@@kratomgaming K2+ provides the best/secure grip because it is rubberized. I paint rifles so I usually go with the K2 because the paint won't stick very well on the K2+.
You can buy a rubber at any gas-station and slap it on the grip
Just bought one for my next SBR build. Thanks for the vid
How’s it holding up after a couple years?
Love the review!
Great vid and review. You have answered all my questions.
Got one on the way for my SR556E I like the steeper grip angle.. thanks for the video..
Size of screw that hold it,holds pistol gtip
I really like this grip. Makes me wonder if there’s something better out there now since I realized this video is a couple of years old.
naw,, just exhale and squeeze ..
Got the k2 love it. Got the scorpion x2 love it. K2 plus. Gotta get it.
Which is better for big hands?
Thanks for the review. So there are 2 fasteners that come with it. Are they one being an American thread and the other being a metric thread?
I like ergo grip but I’m curious about this one
do the rubber over molding look durable?
Got the K2+ for 15.99 and the spare bolt/firing pin core for 8.99 at Big Daddy Unlimited.
Lifter015 Does the Bolt/Firing Pin Core fit into the K2+ without any issues? I emailed Magpul if there were any fitment issues because they say that the rubber over-molding prevents the core from fitting correctly into the Moe+ and the K2+ Grips.
do you know if the K2+ has the same grip angle as the B5 systems type 23 grip, because I like the B5 grip angle but it is hard polymer with very aggressive stippling, and I prefer the rubber overmolded grip style, so now I have another grip to throw in a box with all those junk A2 grips
I think the grip angle is about 17 degrees.
moe+ or k2+, which u like better?
If you like a more vertical grip, K2+.
How is this grip holding up near the end of 2021? Are you still using it?
I use this grip on all my rifles, holding up well.
@@2phast Cool! Looks good!
I've only been a gunsmith for about 2 years but for some reason I stripped the screw inside the handle when I tried to install this grip.. maybe because of the angle of the screw alignment I don't know but it's stuck and I'm on day two trying not to let it get me down in this North Carolina rain but any suggestions fellows how to remove that screw?
I have used most of these technics to remove stripped screws. If its a pan head and you have access, I will normally use a jewelers file and cut a notch in the head and use a flat blade, but the methods shown in the video would be more applicable in your case. Worst case scenario, you may need to sacrifice the grip by cutting is away to gain better access to the screw, but give the methods in the video a shot first. ua-cam.com/video/_mTFQbaT3Zc/v-deo.html
@@2phast alright I'm going to watch that video and see what I can do and yeah sacrifice and it handles not going to be an issue I mean it's a brand-new Magpul grip rubberized but at the end of the day all I try to do was installed the screw but that Emily K2 grip I think the angle with the screw and the whole is set of little different and probably that's why I did it either that or the threat lock and got caught but either way appreciate it and see what I can do
I had the same issue a few days ago. Thankfully it was just an old A2 grip secured with a flathead grip screw that was impossible to screw out and
I stripped the head trying.
Took me about an hr. Had to cut the grip off with with a sawzall to get better access and grabbed the screw with sharp pliers to back it out. I reinstalled a b5 grip with a milspec black hex screw and it went in and screwed out perfectly as it should. Those are the only screws I’ll use from now on. The aftermarket screws seem to be slightly bigger than milspec sometimes in my experience.
@@Mudkips4lif3 One thing I always do is install AeroShell 33MS grease on any screw that goes into a different type of metal. In the case of the grip, you have a steel screw going into aluminum, so to prevent galling grease the screw first. The grease should be used on the buffer tube, castle nut and barrel nut as well.
@@Mudkips4lif3 oh wow man appreciate that I'm sitting over feeling down and out because of this, lol but yeah I figured that would be the only way to get to it. Now I need to get a sawzall 🤷🏿♂️. I wonder why that happened I've installed groups before but never this model. I have a PSA 7.5 AR pistol.
I'm a noob and I saw a lot of videos on the magpul grips but no one says if this K2 is only for an AR15 pistol use or can I also use it with my AR15 riffle 16 inch?
You probably won't see anyone make that statement due to the fact that the AR15 pistol is virtually identical to the rifle (just a shorter barrel and different buffer tube with no stock). So yes, this will fit the AR15 pistol.
Yes I know it will fit, but my question is would it benefit an AR15 riffle.
Sorry if my question wasn't clear.
Hard for me to say. I can use either grip style with the same efficiency. Might be different for operators or larger framed individuals. The only way for you to know is to try one and see if you prefer it over the standard grip.
Thank you for the help
The K2 plus is the best grip on the market in my opinion. The rubber over mold and the angle of the grip makes it superior over others. Hope this helps.
Shit my K2 had to be hit on with a rubber mallet ....not exaggerating either
Better tight than loose!
Hopefully mine will be tight I really don’t like that gap above the beaver tail
