Jolly good fun old boy, thank you 🤗
Wow, you've just made my day.
I am really fond of BBC radio plays and I collect Wingfield. Years ago, working from a list of all of Wingfield's plays for BBC radio, I managed to collect all of them as audio files, apart from this one.
Also some clarification. There are 2 versions of Slow Fuze. The first was a 45 minute adaptation which first aired in 1971, twice, for Midweek Theatre and the day after for Afternoon Theatre. 13 and 14 January 1971.
Then this version which also aired twice. 22 May and 26 May 1976. This version is a different adaptation and is shorter than that from 1971 at half hour. It partly used some actors reprising their roles from the 1971 adaptation, as well as different actors for the other roles. The BBC website Genome, which lists schedules taken from Radio Times, has the cast lists for the 2 different adaptations.
Again, many, many, thanks.
Glad to help :)
You seem to be an expert! Do you know if any other plays of him have been filmed? They should have been imho.
I just listened to the 1971 version and it is very different from this one. RD Wingfield's plays were always a cut above in my book, my favourite being A Second Class Risk.
@@Gannett2011where did you find A second class risk, if you can remember? I can't remember if I've heard it or not.
@@Spectrescup I found it on Usenet about 15 years ago with about a dozen other Wingfield plays from the 70s.
Really good. Love Wingfield’s work!
Jolly good
An excellent production! Thank you
An excellent drama. Thanks for posting.❤
Fun! Very good.👍
This was fun. Ty.
So much better than any teevee or movie.
