Back Again! Since I last posted to you Paladar has closed down over lease disagreements. I was able to notify my daughter from Brazil the day before it closed so she could take a last visit. Keep Up the Good Work! 😎
The day before?! Lucky her! I was blown away when I pulled up and saw it closed. Huge mistake on behalf of the management in my opinion. They had a few excellent menu items.
@@wheretoliveinthedcsuburbs-4424 Absolutely Right. In my successful journey to become a Permanent Brazilian Resident, I had to come to the area to visit the Brazilian Consulate and ended up staying at my daughters Crown Apartment on Ellington St. for at least 3-4 months. I can still tell you what is on each aisle of Trader Vic's. I did get new glasses at Warby Parkers but passed on the ultra-expensive haircut at Floyd 's Barbershop. 😎
@@wheretoliveinthedcsuburbs-4424 My Brazilian mother is 97 and I promised myself not to leave her side until the end. After that I will return and visit the area for a week and pay your fee to give me a tour of Kentland's and Crown....don't hold your breath my father lived until 99 but I promise - Roddie😎
Thanx! I did not know Chopt`s (gourmet salads) was gone. I dropped my daughter off to work there for two years. It occupied the space next to La Madeleine near the park behind The Pour House. I believe the burger place used to be Ted`s Montana Grill. It may have moved down the block and yes Ted`s Bulletin and Ted`s Montana Grill are both named after Ted Turner, but have different founders. Your retired 2 Brazil subscriber opened up an account for his daughter with Charles Schwab. She actually has an apartment connected to the garage behind LA Madeline. I just got to the end of the video with Sweetgreen's. I was curious since Sweetgreen's and Chopt's don`t usually occupy close locations. My research says Sweetgreen's moved in a year ago, so I am guessing Chopt`s left earlier. This makes sense since they probably saw it as an open market. I am also not surprised at their location. It follows the Starbucks model of being next to a Grocery Store. Great Video😎

@@roddiesimmons8773 Indeed! I'd much rather she live past 100. I will not hold my breath!
