I really like the way you tie everything together in your instruction. You don't just encourage having side bend, you explain why you need it, and now it functions to help the swing. Very helpful.
Mike Austin would approve of this explanation. So many “teachers” ignore the need for a consistent center...especially for us average golfers. It is so difficult to tell the difference between superior technique and superior hand-eye coordination. Great video! One of your best.
Hi Dan. I have been watching some of your videos here on UA-cam. I am 41 yrs old and didn't start golfing up my early 30s. I love the game of golf but have always struggled with "feeling" a correct golf swing. Even during seasons where contact seemed more consistent, I have never been able to "feel" what I am doing right or, conversely what I am doing wrong when the wheels come off. Honestly, I think any success I've had can be attributed to something you mentioned in one of your other videos- Using my hands/arms to apply leverage and using strength to "muscle" the golf ball. The purest evidence of that is probably my inconsistency (timing has to be good to hit a decent shot) and also the fact that I don't hit the ball as far as I think I should. I am 5'10", 175lbs, and am fairly fit/flexible, however, I only carry my driver 220-225 yards. I have seen plenty of senior and female golfers carry the ball 250 yards, so I would like to believe that I have that ability somewhere within me. My swing almost always feels rushed and unnatural. On top of that, I am one of those people who believe in "practice, practice, practice" and have found golf to be the only thing I have ever tried in life where practicing didn't make me get better, which leads me to believe that I have wasted time "practicing" the wrong swing motion! So here is my question- Will The Pro help me to "feel" the proper golf swing? And will practicing with The Pro and the impact reminder help me to groove the correct swing motion? If not, is there a different product or drill that you would recommend? Thanks in advance!
Thanks for the note! Yes, the PRO will help you learn how to see and feel the transfer of momentum in a golf swing. The rigidity of the club makes it very difficult to understand the physics of a swing, but the PRO reveals it as you learn to master the motion. Also, the PRO comes with connected coaching through the CoachNow app. I'm always happy to answer questions and give video analysis when you are learning how to swing the PRO.
Great ideas and concepts. Many instructors never mention the side bend parts and often get students to focus on simply turning the torso. I know -I been part of that process for years. Thanks.
This was the missing piece for me in terms of clarity on using the body and getting your pro device swinging properly. I often wondered why a baseball swing and it's ease of rotation could not be easily replicated while bent over in golf posture and the side bend is the difference. Seriously this has clicked for me in terms of the back and through swing being a possible mirror of each other which simplifies things greatly in terms of plane and creating width and so many issues I have been trying to resolve. Thanks so much for your amazing instruction!
Is this what Mac Ogrady was trying to teach us centred around the shoulder movement not the hip starting the transition if so very well explained and in a lot shorter time frame
Perfect timing for this video,, outstanding iam starting to see with the side bend and rotation it may help being a little steep!! If I let the trail shoulder rotate with proper side bend I'll have a great plane coming thru!! Ty again awesome knowledge!!!
Good video. Jack Nicklaus said 50 yrs ago, ' I imagine a stake running right through the top of my head, down through my body and into the ground. Then I just try to rotate around this'.

Awesome, thank you!

@@danmartingolf Thanks for the reply! I will be purchasing the PRO soon!
This is one of your finest videos....!!

Glad it was helpful!
For me all your videos are Brilliant

Thanks! Getting better is all about understanding how the body must accommodate the physics of the swing!

Excellent information.
Another great tip,...thanks!
Hi Dan
Brilliant explanation so huge thank you for posting this film.
Is your product available or do you have distributors in the UK.
We do ship product to the UK - it's an option on the website! No local distributors yet in UK/EU. Thanks!
