Antonio did his job. There are standards for thickness of the asphalt. And the gate's height can easily be modified.
I agree, of all the jobs done wrong here, Antonio gets a pass, cause then he would have to rip up the road and do it again, just redo the gate, job finished.
Agree too. I think the gate is too low in the first place that even if Antonio didn't put asphalt on it, the distance between the gate and the road will just be around an inch or less.

Antonio and the fence... With that type of fence, you just loosen the bolts holding the hinge rings, raise the gate, then tighten the bolts again, easy fix.
Love the McDonald's upside-down flag. When my husband was in the Scouts, he was tasked with raising the Australian flag. Unfortunately, he put it upside-down. The scout leader told them all that that was a sign the country was in distress.

@@garybessey2184 I have never hear that term of art before… But, as a former HVAC/R and Electrical contractor, I have seen some other contractors follow plans that had errors because the general was an arse and didn’t want to listen… Not as blatant as the toilet, but clear violations of code where the general had to deal with the repercussions because they didn’t want to listen from the beginning!

I feel like a lot of these issues were caused by someone trying to explain to the boss why something won’t work and the boss yells that they know better and to just do it. Malicious compliance in action. 😂

I have a story, that still cracks me up, whenever I think about it.
A friend of mine, asked me to watch his tortoise for a few months, while he was getting settled into a new place.
The tortoises name was Stewart.
When my friend came to visit ,myself and Stewart the tortoise, I handed him some spinach, and asked him to feed Stewart, while I went to finish laundary .
I came back, and asked him, how Stewart, liked his spinach treat.
My friend looked at me with a perplexed look.

To be honest, it's not Antonio's fault the gate did'nt clear the road. Whoever hired him to pave the road should have considered that they might have to adjust the gate.

credit to the drywaller that rocked around that toilet. I suspect that took WAY more work to get to a lvl 5 finish on that shape than it would have been to just pull the toilet and cap the pipe.

I used to install fences. Pool fences are installed for liability purposes more than anything. At least here in Connecticut they are. We would be told where the fence was to be and what kind it was (e.g. a temporary fence around a pool needed to be something like 4 or 8 feet from the edge and needed to be 4 feet tall, usually plastic). I bet they literally forgot about that little gap. Aside from that that my best guesses are that whoever installed that, didn't have the material to put a barrier in that little gap. Maybe they didn't bring enough or didn't bring the right parts. Maybe they brought enough, but something broke while installing it and that caused them to not have enough parts.
caveat: Some of those are not mutually exclusive. It could be that the site boss forgot about it when loading the truck for the job, thus not having the right parts. The crew would be remiss if they didn't do all the work they could, before coming back later. But this doesn't explain the lack of a temp fence. Unless that video was taken at just the right time. You can bet your ass that if this had happened with the company I worked for, _someone_ would be there before days end to put a temp barrier there.
to be fair the line with the dog poop whas most likely painted with one of those driving line panting machines im pretty sure the person operating this machine never noticed the poop
I appreciate many, many things about Be Amazed’s content However, by far one of my favorite things is that there is NEVER any clickbait. When the thumbnail has a picture and when they show a multitude of small pictures in the beginning of a video, you can bet that each and every one of those stories will be included.
Clickbait drives me nuts. The obvious point of (non-malicious) clickbait is to make something flashy and interesting to capture attention and get clicks. The fact that creators like Be Amazed are able to create interesting, eye catching thumbnails while never be misleading just shows how unnecessary clickbait is. Just put in the damn work!
Thank you Be Amazed for always having quality content that runs the gambit from shocking to fascinating to hilarious (and everything in between) while having class and standards! 👏😊👏
(I want to point out that I’m by far not the only person to feel this way and definitely not the first to make a comment about this exact topic, but I wanted to reiterate the sentiment because it’s important and I believe creators who don’t use clickbait should be applauded for doing the right thing.)

My parents had one. It is a joke mug, specifically an Irish mug.
Not exactly the same, but...when I was a kid, I had a mug that had a little 3-d frog molded to the bottom of the mug, so that as you drank the liquid (for instance, milk) it would look like the little frog would slowly begin to surface.

As someone who used to work in quality control, you don't test every single item in a batch.
A percentage of a single batch is tested depending on batch size.
If they all pass quality control inspection, then the whole batch is passed.
For things automatically manufactured, there is still a small chance that the machine can produce something substandard.
This is more likely to happen if the process, which includes packaging, is totally automated.

@@4-8-4Northern There's actually a minimum thickness for the road, so there was no choice. The gate can be modified, though.

I was in the U.S NAVY from 1984 to 1997 and in boot camp and beyond , we always heard "PAT D." (PAY ATTENTION TO DETAIL !) as a way to prevent mistakes or accidents . "PAT D. " kept me alive as there are many dangerous jobs in the Navy that mostly involve intense concentration to your job and your environment as a way to protect yourself and others .
The bicycle with the pedals together isn’t a problem - as closer inspection reveals … there’s no chain on the sprockets. 👍🏻 Good job there! Safety first! 🙂
On the other hand though, no one is going to be terribly interested in stealing this bike either. And from the looks of the bike, this was an intentional set-up for the picture, as there is no wear-and-tear on the bike; no grease or oil from a bicycle chain having ever being on in the first place. Getting a chain on and off from a single speed bike like this one apparently is would be difficult.

The toilet stuck in the wall is a classic case of funds restriction. Most likely, the place originally had 1 shared washroom and there were complains that the men and women would need to share the space. It's a common case of discomfort for women to share a washroom with men in many parts of the world. Most likely, the building owner or company requested a quote for turning the shared washroom into 2 separate washroom, but the cost or requirement for installing a new updated piping system was exceeding the budget or had legal restrictions. It was cheaper to just add a wall without touching the pipes.
It was the same with the Dryer. Most likely, the cabinet was placed after but having a "shorter" cabinet was actually costing more than what is shown because the whole thing came at a fixed measures. Having it shorter would cost time, hence money. The contractor asked the customer/proprietor "Would you pay X$ for us to shorten it or are we doing it like that?" and the customer/proprietor answered "Just leave it like that". This is actually common when the proprietor requested a quick & cheap job out of a relative by giving bad measures and nobody had the bright idea of double checking it. (For example, maybe the cabinet was added to multiple room and that room had the dryer at a different place than the other room. Measure were taken only for 1 room and not for the other.)
Gendered bathrooms are stupid, add floor-to-ceiling stalls and nobody can peek at anything. Plus, then security cameras can be added outside the stalls to further prevent this. Plus, it's more inclusive. Plus, then you don't have to split a toilet in half.
1:30 If Antonio is responsible for the road, he did nothing wrong. You have to have so many inches of asphalt. The fence will just need to be raised (if it was already there). The alternative would have been to dig out to to put the asphalt below grade, but you would want to do that for the length and not just lower it for the fence - a decision that would not be the laborer's but the owner - if they wanted to pay more to dig down; an option they probably also didn't want so that water could run off. Long story short - this doesn't belong in video of mistakes by someone with "one job".

The bike with the painted tyre (07:10) had a cable lock on it so they couldn't move it. Aligned bike pedals..... It's also missing the chain and anything for gear changing (13:45) but the pedals are definitely the silliest one. The "prongs" on a fork (15:53) are known as tines. Great stuff :D
At 14:40 you can see that the inner chainring has also been removed, this makes me think they are trying to convert an old road bike into a flat bar single speed bike and found that it isn't as easy as they thought.

19:50 Running all those translations through a deep learning translator, all of those translations translate to "Diving Submarine". With the exception of Sous-Marin which as the video states simply translates to "Submarine". And possibly the Japanese flag one as I don't have a keyboard capable of replicating those characters. I think those translations were actually meant for a different toy entirely.

Im pretty sure the door at 23:50 is/was no longer in use and instead of removing it and replacing it with drywall they just said eff it and put the powerstrip over it(hence the reason for no door handle). Im wondering what the other side of it looks like tho.
Quite common practice, when dividing cheap office spaces that have multiple entrances. I have worked in such office.
I worked at a Walmart which have old emergency exits basically welded up and inaccessible doors.
In short, if the place is a rented space, the owner might not want to remove a door or the renter might not want to pay for the whole thing so the condemned door is a much more common practice in those situation where a door get its handle removed and is just left shut.

Actually, I think you can also go in over the top. The top of the gate doesn't look that far away from the handle, and the hole is much bigger.

They are double-sided so they can be flipped during cheers. Nearly every cheerleader holds a sign upside down at some point in their life. This girl just happened to be unlucky enough to get caught on camera doing so
At 23:42 in the video notice that the door handle is missing. This door was probably abandoned in a reorganization of the space and it is no longer used. The installation of the power and communications across the door was intentional. They saved probably hundreds if not thousands of dollars by not removing the door and maybe planned on removing the setup at a later date.

Actually at 1:00 minute in, you don't take into account that this man did his job properly and correctly as roads, roadways, private driveways, etc are supposed to be a certain thickness, consistency, etc to not only follow proper state guidelines and safety procedures but for your driveway to be structurally sound and last for as long as possible. So, in this instance, you're shaming, humiliating and Criticizing this man for not only DOING his job, but doing his job correctly.
