Mike when you dig, always put your tracks with you, and the blade in front of you, that will give you more pulling and digging power, and you won’t be tipping the machine so much.
not always the blade in front, what if he was pinning?
Exactly
Whenever I'm digging and I need the visibility, like in the street or right situations, I always put the blade to the rear.
Second that
@@scottmcquarrie7295 But the blade in normal position is the front, that' how an excavator work.
MELISSA GET THE KEYS AND START DIGGING FOR YOUR POOL
Don’t you just love all the engineers in the world 🗺, being thoughtful enough to develop and test all of there designs and then get them mass produced to help people with there projects like Mike Morgan’s new building and I for one ☝️ cannot wait to see this building built, all the best Mike and enjoy running your Kubota excervator .
Hey Mike, I'm glad you changed excavator position to dig out that first stump. In sideways position you were really rockin' it.
I go in flat with the ground and let the bucket use the ground as leverage with the teeth stuck in the stump, no matter how you’re sat in the machine all the weight is on the wrist of the bucket, maybe try it and see if you get what I mean
Mike, I think you need to do a detailed look at this Excavator. Makes me think I'm a kid all over again watching the Big Boy Machines in action. And while Mike has this powerhouse "digging" machine, now's the time to make your move Melisa, to get your swimming pool at least dug.
In the mid 60's, my dad stopped at H.E. with my brother and I. We passed it frequently. Dad had us stand in front of what was then a giant earth moving machine. About 35 years later I did the same with my kids. About time to do it with the grand kids. Thanks for the memories. PS obviously you have a few hours in an excavator. Nice video.
Maestro of the Machine! Of course we want a tour PLUS split screen showing what the machine is doing WITH video embedded of what your hands/feet are doing to make that ballet!
Yes please!
I rented an excavator about the same size a month ago to remove 14 huge stumps. Each one took 20 to 30 min to get out, the were old growth fir with huge roots. Was a really fun day! Saved a huge amount of time, I have a kubota but its too small for this type of work. The rental was well worth the cost.
Wow, it is DRY, DRY, DRY in western PA! I was amazed at the dust! That is pretty amazing to take out a stump and fell a tree that size in 15 minutes. Impressive. All you needed to make it stupendous was Melissa!
I hope Hunter gets his BK run today. Have a day!
When you got the right machine for the job it makes it a lot easier!!👍👊
Operating excavators was always my favorite before I retired. The thumb is so handy for grabbing everything.
WOW! That's a machine. You're good Mike. You use it as if it were a third arm. I've helped digging out stumps by hand. It was 50 yrs ago but very hard work.
What better way to start the weekend than coffee and the Morgan’s? LOL! Can’t believe how dry that soil of yours is today. Great job Mike! Love from Northwest Indiana! 🙏🏻👏👍💗🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hey Matt i see you here everyday. Where about are you from? I'm in kosco County.
Troll Killa nobody really Michael hall I’m in Portage Indiana.
Rented a Bobcat mini excavator for a week during my Covid lockdown and unbelievable how much work you get done. That’s with me never using one before. They are easy to run once you get used to it. Plan to rent again next spring for more projects.
Today's the Morgan's 1st day of their new lives. 👍 The projects begin !God's blessings & best wishes ❤
Absolutely! I’d love a tour of that machine. I could watch that kind of work all day.
if you bought that model here at my dealer hes selling the kx080-4 for $50,100
Michael Mac Tavish
No he’s not lol
@@jjm4794 the kx080 is huge but in the feature there gonna be coming out with full size units even the loader and backhoes
Oh yup powerful excavator kubota good whatching work strong sheers beautiful 👍👌
These are my favorite type of videos, watching you run the heavy equipment and cut up trees! Nice work, can't wait to see the pond work.
OH MY! What I could accomplish with that machine........and a Mike to operate it! Great job Mike.
Wow!!! That is one powerful machine. Made the stump removal look easy not to mention taking the tree down. Really enjoyed this video.
Morning Morgans! Have a coffee watching this morning and have to say you are a smooth operator in the Kubota X80 Mike very skilled with easy movements. Looking forward to seeing the progression. Have a day y’all! 👍😀
Watching your tube is like watching Frackil Rock always busy
I drive this thing daily, great machine, user friendly and loads of power, my boss purchased this and a 5.5 tonne Kubota brand new, quality excavators just no heated seat!
Letsdig18 has a great channel! He has the gift of gab for sure! You are no slouch on that excavator Mike.
Good morning Morgan's.
Great video..
I love watching a good operator work with equipment. Make it look like the equipment is just a extension of there hands.
Keep up the great videos.
Have a day.
Always be kind.
Thanks for the shout out =) Love that KX080 and love the video - looking forward to the next one!
I vote for a “features” tour! I’d also like to see you do one stump with a BX to show that it can be done. I would be amazed if you can do the 10 foot stump drop with the BX 😱. Love the channel.
I personally know it can be done with a little BX. Believe me it takes a while.
Rodney Ross Oh, I know you can dig out the stump, even drop a tree, with the BX. I didn’t say it couldn’t be done. I just don’t recall seeing it on UA-cam and the time spent doing it (ripping roots, moving backhoe, clearing dirt...) is just one part of what I dread. Mike (or Mellissa 😉) might have better techniques that viewers (at least me!) would enjoy seeing. I think 10 foot stump drop with a BX would require he pick up the BX/stump with the excavator first 🤣. Just moving that stump to his root/stump pile with a BX would probably be...instructive.

I really enjoyed ur video very experienced operator I'm retired heavy equipment operator and have used excavaters for 30 years
AWESOME!!!!! I can't wait to see you fix the pond. Great summer to do it because it's been so dry.
When I watch Mike use machinery like this, it takes me back to my childhood...... I can remember walking around the town where I grew up with other young boys hoping to see some kind of construction work being done. Once we found it, we would plant ourselves and just watch the guys dig holes, demolish things, etc! What a dream! Mike, when I grow up I want to be just like you! 😂😂💪💪
lol
It is funny, I did the same thing in Illinois. I started taking a jug of coolaid to an excavator working in our neighborhood digging basements and laying water pipe. Eventually I ended up riding in the big equipment, pulling levers etc. All the other kids were jealous. What a blast. I held the stick when he shot levels etc too. A kids dream.
Since you mentioned Chris (Letsdig18) I think you should invite him to come and have a look at your pond and help you decide what to do about fixing it so that it does not need to be fixed again and again, he is a valuable source of knowledge on pond design/creation. Would be good to see you two do a collaboration if he has the time. Cheers, and thanks for the great vlog posts, I enjoy all you have to share.
We're building a garage/barn also, and I dug a few stumps up with my tractor. It did the work, but it took forever, and left a huge hole in the ground. I rented an e55 Bobcat Excavator and took out the rest in no-time. I love doing work with my tractor, but sometimes the Excavator is the way to go... Keep up the good work!
👍Mike is just a 🤏kid on that machine. Every kids dream!
God bless Stay safe
Yes please on the interior cab and controls video. Keep on rocking Morgans.
finally getting to sit down and watch your video. Raining here in New Franklin, Oh. coming your way at about 4:30. I imagine a little rain wont slow that Kubota down...great machine.
I am glad to see that are using the Kubota excavator!
Nice machine. I have a kx033-4 with almost 300hrs on it. It’s pulls stump and cleans up good.
Good morning Morgan's!! Sitting here drinking my BlackRifle Coffee and ready to enjoy and great M&M video.
Are you kidding me! Of course I’d like to see the inside of the big machine and how it works. And you’re a real tease just showing a little of it doing a job. I could sit and watch that for hours. I’m especially interested in seeing how you repair your pond. That is fascinating to me, and I’ve never really seen what can be done. Anyway you look like you know your way around quite a machine Mike. thank you.
the kx080-4 is the biggest model for now but down road there thinking manufacturing the big full size excavator in the feature same sizes as the case cx215 excavator
There’s just something exciting about running a nice excavator like that. Stick a couple of those root balls upside down in your pond. Makes good fish habitat. Have a great weekend! Jason from Indiana.
Nice. Sweet machine. Thank you for sharing with us
Wow what a monster of a machine! My wife came into the room where I was watching and I said "I need to buy one of those" She looked me straight in the eye and said "our property is not big enough". I saw my opening and told here we could buy a larger piece of land. I'm hoping the swelling on the back of my head goes down in couple of days.
Lol
Mike, I have told you this before but I am going to tell you again you are a very talented guy in a lot of different areas.
great video that's a very nice excavator that is not your first time on a excavator good job now it is Melissa's turn i bet she is not scared to try good job Mike can't wait for the next video have a great weekend
This is a nice machine we are using one of those little excavator they are so handy.
👍🏼👍🏼 Kubota !! - wide open space like that, smart of you to reposition and dig over the blade, a lot less bouncing around and much more leverage than side digging.
As long as the wood is being used and not just piled up and burnt or buried even if it's fire wood for this winter that's good a thing.
Every one should have an excavator.
The perfect tool to dig a pool.
Excavator control video please.
Have a productive day.
That's an awesome machine! Makes quick work of those trees.
I really like operating one of those. They do so much. I'd get one but I have a good tractor with the implements I need. Might get one someday if momma will let me.
Oh my Mike. Your gonna have lots of fun now!! Enjoy!
Holy Smoly, that is Boy Boy for residential use! Yes, please sir, make an instructional video showing foot controls and stick controls, does & don'ts.👍..... I've never operated one but dang sure want to!😆
Oh yea, love to see more info on that machine, like cost and rental numbers. Nothing like a big machine to do real work.
Awesome video !!! Please give us a tour of the The machine!!!😀👍
That first cherry tree stump put up a fight. Mike had the rear of the excavator lifted a couple times trying to break off the roots. The machine certainly did make short work of pulling out the stumps. Can't want to see the pond dredging operation with that long boom arm.
His problem was that he was pulling/digging over the side of the tracks.
He change his position and correctly worked over the front. Almost no rocking.
I can't watch this channel anymore. I'm so jealous I can't see straight. Love that machine and all you're doing.
That machine is sick! Made fast work of those stumps. 👍🏼
Nice work. That is a big mini for sure, love the 4 way blade.
Good job running the excavator Mike, I would enjoy seeing the function and controls. Thank you for your videos. And yea, let’s dig Chris is the best heavy equipment operator I have seen.
That stump removal looks a lot easier than my Shovel, Axe and Mattock method!
You folks need some rain!!!
Yes for the cockpit tour! I know you ain't gonna sugar coat anything. Say hey to Hunter for me. Oh, dang! Almost forgot: say hey to momma & 'em. (Georgia vernacular for greetings to your bride and family.)
RIPE AND TARE! New! Machine! good job Mike. thanks 4 video. be kind.
Really enjoyed this one. Felt like a little kid watching the worker men on the big machines. Wonder how long it will take Mike to wipe that grin off his face.
Smilin' like a butcher's dawg...
👏
Melissa! While he's at work for one day. You could dig one nice size hole! 😎 Knew those things were awesome. But WOW! That seems to be just the right size for just about any thing you want to do.
I’ve been very happy with my 080, bought it for land clearing with a masticating head and shear. Building rock retaining walls is next so I’m looking for a grapple. For an 8 ton machine it is a hoss,
If you would please show the machine inside and longer videos of you using it. I watch letsdig18 all the time. His skill is impressive and he bought his own Volvo for his projects. Being disabled I need people like you and logger wade, Chris (letsdig18) and many others to keep my spirits up. Mike you are blessed and my age, so be safe life can change in an instant and forever. God bless.
Well, let's take it up a step - or 10! The power of that excavator is awe inspiring. I bet you had a good time running it. Please do post a review of the machine. Thanks for the fun. God Bless.
I have a Kubota B2920 with a BH6.5 Backhoe and I dug about a 30" hemlock stump out that was right beside my shed so I couldn't get to one side. I ended putting about 2.5 hours on my tractor before I was able to finally get it pulled out of the massive hole I made around it. I also live in new Hampshire and the ground is incredibly rocky that digging is tough! I know it took a while but I don't use the backhoe every day so being able to remove that stump was great!
The Granite State!
Mike - Nice work with the excavator. I certainly didn't think you were going to use this beast to do tree removal, but it worked great, and once again your gentle touch on the controls is a joy to watch. Blessings to you, Melissa, and the family. Hi to Hunter, Hannah, and Eva.
That Kubota is a beautiful machine
Mike, you make the videos and I'll watch them. I don't care what the subject matter is, I'll watch. Deal?
Just had an excavator here 4th of July weekend for 3 days. You can get a lot done. Thumb is awesome attachment to have. I used it to put some field drains in hay fields, dig out some stumps etc. .
Now to get Eva or Hannah to run that machine while Mellissa is running chipper and Mike your on the tractor by Sunday night there wouldn't be a tree left. Love it Ron
Looks like fun. You have to love big boy toys. Look forward to seeing more.
Good Morning Morgan’s, great job as always 👍👍👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hi Mike, This is your neighbor to the north in Caledonia, NY. I'd like to see a full tour of the excavator and some footage while you operate it from inside the cab.
Excellent video as always!! On the farm where I deer hunt, I get to play with 2 excavators. The power of those machines is always beyond my expectations, and give me WOOD every single time I need to do something with them!!
Mike you’re pretty dang good with that excavator!!
Sweet KUBOTA excavator. Nice Job 👍😊 Love your channel and Letsdig👍
Howdy Morgans, It's BIG, it's BAD and comes in Mike's FAVORITE color ORANGE!! Nice excavator Mike. The dozer blade should come in quite handy for backfilling and leveling too. Looking forward to seeing more of your smooth operating skills in future videos. Have A Day! ;~)
Great piece of kit and made light work of those stumps. Really looking forward to watching all your jobs develop over the next month a good change of pace.
Another fine example of ODWTM. You make difficult look easy, Mike. Have a day!
I would enjoy and find a detailed video of the excavator very useful . Thanks for this great video. I have run a mini excavator, amazing machines. Paul from Texas
Glad to see you using a big boy for once. I know the smaller ones can do all the same things, just takes a little longer, but my Tim the tool man comes out once in a while and you can never have too much power. (Insert the grunt)
Mike, I have noticed that you sure know how to operate heavy equipment! You have a lot of marketable skills. It’s a pleasure to watch you work and to watch your video’s.
Great piece of equipment there Mike...have fun operating that excavator...take care and GOD BLESS your whole family.
Mike ... you are a heavy machine operator ... obviously was not your first time pushing a tree over ... certainly one of your better videos ... could’ve watched you work the land with that machine for another hour ... thanks for sharing !!!
Hello Mike, im from Sardis City, Alabama. I cut and dug up 12 bradford pear trees, the biggest one took me around 30 minutes with my Yanmar tractor backhoe. I think you tractor backhoe will do the same.
Nice machine rental 👍👏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Yes, lets see a breakdown of your new toy👍👏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Nice having the ground so dry to get the dirt off the stumps.
Nice smooth machine. You always make it look easy.
Yup..would like a good review of the machine and some video of it working different jobs...maybe a how to operate, going through the controls. And review servicing..
Good Morning Morgans, Looking forward to the excavator walk through video !!
Its funny you mentioned Chris on Letsdig18, because thats the first thing I thought about when you started pulling that stump. He is, as far as im concerned, one of the best excavator operators I have ever seen. Been watching him for years and have never missed any of his vids.
That 80 model is wicked!! Nice footage! That will be gard to let go after running for two or three weeks.
This is a true testimony as to just how dry things are. Watching you remove those stumps reminds me of the time, about fifty years ago, while I was visiting my wife' family farm and her dad invited me to go with him while he got rid of a couple of stumps. First, we made a trip to the local hardware store where he purchased some dynamite. Yes, back then, anybody could just go to a store that sold it and get what you needed. We then went to the stumps and dug a small hole under them, into which he placed the sticks of dynamite which had a fuse attached. After lighting the fuse we jumped into the truck, which he already had running, drove a safe distance away and waited for the explosion, which hurled the large stump many feet into the air. He then turned to me and said, " That's the way to remove a stump."
Now them was the days, too bad that a few bad apples messed things up for the rest of us who just wanted to blow things up and remove a stump, and I'm being totally serious. Great story William, thank you.
@@augustreil Just glad that I can still remember those days.
What a workhorse... Would love to see a video of the excavator controls. Are you going to let Melissa use her skills at pulling a stump? Great stuff.......as usual. Well done, Mike.
Morning from Illinois Mike. That kubota makes easy work of the tree removal. Can’t wait to see the building project evolve!
Since you asked, I would love to have close up cab-view of you opperating the excavator. I'd also like you to give some commentary on how you approach each step of your project.
Just a heads up, those Cherry Tree Roots make beautiful knife handles and other small projects. Very Pretty....
