I watched twin peaks with my friends in college (2017ish)… our jaws were on the floor. To this day there’s still nothing like it. Can’t even imagine what it must’ve been like seeing it in the 90s
I had friends that were obsessed with it. There was nothing else like it. I lived in Wilmington NC for a while, in the neighborhood where much of Blue Velvet was filmed. It was fun spotting the places from the outdoor scenes.
I used to work for the Suquamish native tribe in Washington state. Their Kiana Lodge was used for portions of the pilot Twin Peaks, and theyre proud to show it off to sightseers
I adore her so much! An absolutely intoxicating energy with such a lovely generous attitude and magnificently gorgeous 😍 I was talking about Conan, but Rashida Jones is awesome, too.
Twin Peaks is one of the pioneers of modern serial, story-arc television. Other shows were 'story of the week' but Twin Peaks was about being a 'season'. Of course it was ONE season before the network interfered with the formula, but what a season.
I learned a lot about her mom that I never knew. Like any teenage boy of course I watched Mod Squad. But I didn't recognize her in Twin Peaks and make that connection. Now I have to go back and look.
I was obsessed with Twin Peaks. Still sticks with me to this day. It was groundbreaking tv, the way I imagine Twilight Zone was. Completely different from everything tv had ever been. The writing, production, cast, and the amazing music were all unforgettable. Helluva family this girl grew up in.
BOB was played by Frank Silva, who was a member of the film crew on the pilot. The story of his casting is fascinating, and he was absolutely tremendous whenever he appeared. Sadly, he passed away a few years after the show's original run.
3:10 getting another network back in the 70's and 80's was a big deal before cable. I remember when we got the new local FOX UHF channel 25 as a kid. again, being a kid back then a new channel especially UHF had a good chance of having kids shows and it did not disappoint.
I didn’t know until the past year that Quincy was her father. From musicians interviewed Quincy was a genius to work with. They say he had a way to get what he wanted while getting the best out of the musician and making g them comfortable.
I was trying to date a college girl and finally found the courage to ask her out. She declined, saying, "I can't go out with you that night; " Twin Peaks is on." I suggested we could tape it, but she said it wouldn't be the same. Sigh. LOL.
While it's a totally different show I feel like Breaking Bad could be a good contemporary example of a show that blew people away and really elevated television.
Ms Rashida Jones is the perfect foil for Conan! I never saw 'Twin Peaks', and as a lapsed Catholic, the name alone was sinful! Dissonance is my life! Aaargh!
LMAO I saw the title and legit thought they were going to say her dad was Sammy Davis Jr. I didn't even make the Jones connection, thought maybe she changed her name. 🤣
She's so beautiful, smart and charming, but I think one thing I really love is her voice. It's up there with Molly Shannon's or Scarlet Johannson. It just kills me.
Twin Peaks changed tv and all of a sudden there were all these shows that tried to copy it in their own way. I remember when Northern Exposure came out after TP and it didn't have nearly the weirdness of it but it was really quirky with great writing and I could see that TP influenced that show.
Yes! Shows like Northern Exposure and Scrubs came along, being very quirky and weird, and with Scrubs having dream sequences, fantasies, hallucinations etc. Twin Peaks definitely changed television
If you happened to catch Blue Velvet before you saw Twin Peaks, like I did, then Twin Peaks wasn't something like you'd never seen before. Just sayin'. That's how I felt at the time.
Yeah, pretty much no way for the comment to land well. Learn the term, “race,” google it. IMO, it’s just best practice not to comment on peoples appearance pro or con Not hating
Frank Silva. I'm not sure if young people today could watch Twin Peaks... it was so slow and anti plot driven they would give up after 2 mins. or within seconds Tik Tok attention span.
Conan seemed a bit off in this one. He repeated himself a lot and wasted a chance to know more about such an interesting part of her life just to talk about himself. Wasn't his best bit. IMO.
She is soooooo beautiful.
Always has been. And now she's 48! Great genetics
very beautiful Dutch woman
So was her mother
Her smile is amazing
A women: exists
A YT comments section:
She is so sweet and a great comedian as well.
Oh man. I’ve had a massive crush on Miss Jones for years. And now she’s on my favorite (and only) podcast? Woohoo! Thanks Team Coco!
Twin Peaks: The Return is the greatest TV I've ever seen.
I watched twin peaks with my friends in college (2017ish)… our jaws were on the floor. To this day there’s still nothing like it. Can’t even imagine what it must’ve been like seeing it in the 90s
So you could have watched all three seasons!
I had friends that were obsessed with it. There was nothing else like it. I lived in Wilmington NC for a while, in the neighborhood where much of Blue Velvet was filmed. It was fun spotting the places from the outdoor scenes.
It was mind-blowing! Bizarre appointment television 😅
@@catha.j.stuart2200 Appointment?
Rashida seems like a solid individual, she seems kind and cool. And I enjoyed her in I Love You Man (SLAPPADABASS)
I used to work for the Suquamish native tribe in Washington state. Their Kiana Lodge was used for portions of the pilot Twin Peaks, and theyre proud to show it off to sightseers
Isn't it the Snoqualmie lodge?? That's where the waterfall is...
I do remember that I couldn't believe that Peggy Lipton (Rashida's mom) was about 45 when I watched Twin Peaks back in the day.
She is very likeable and a pretty good comedic performer. Always liked RJ.
Rashida always comes across as deeply grounded and cool. Love her... :)
Love Twin Peaks! Still my favorite show of all time.
Rashida Jones is an all time beauty, not just because of her looks but because she’s just as classy, feminine, smart, sweet and funny.
I adore her so much! An absolutely intoxicating energy with such a lovely generous attitude and magnificently gorgeous 😍
I was talking about Conan, but Rashida Jones is awesome, too.

One of the best conversations from this podcast. Love the interaction
Thank you for mostly talking about Peggy and Twin Peaks.
Gorgeous, beautiful, stunning, hasn't aged a day. Rashida too
Wait....then who do you mean, Sona?
Can't be Conan, he looks like he's aged 70 years in the last 30.
Corny joke. Get some new material
RASHIDAAAA! I love her so much
I was obsessed with Twin Peaks. Still sticks with me to this day. It was groundbreaking tv, the way I imagine Twilight Zone was. Completely different from everything tv had ever been. The writing, production, cast, and the amazing music were all unforgettable. Helluva family this girl grew up in.
Love Twin Peaks! I watched with my mom!
Rashida is cool and funny and gorgeous to boot!
So smart and such a beauty 😅
Conan’s ad reads really never get old😂😂
Bless the Jones family. RIP Mr. Quincy
She actually gets more and more beautiful with age! 👏🏼
BOB was played by Frank Silva, who was a member of the film crew on the pilot. The story of his casting is fascinating, and he was absolutely tremendous whenever he appeared. Sadly, he passed away a few years after the show's original run.
This is a great interview of Conan by Rashida.
I had a crush on her mom and the younger me would feel the same way about her, funny, sweet and beautiful. 😊
Cannot get my eyes from Conans hair from 3:41 🤯
3:10 getting another network back in the 70's and 80's was a big deal before cable.
I remember when we got the new local FOX UHF channel 25 as a kid. again, being
a kid back then a new channel especially UHF had a good chance of having kids

What about her dad's relationship with Artie Kendall, 1930's ghost crooner?
Well now, you sure have an hot Irish temper. I wrote a little diddy about the Irish
Oh, please....
Hitlery-hoo
Ann Perkins was always my favorite. Still looks the same, it's wild
I adore rashida
Adore her a little more by spelling her name correctly bubba.
Recently watched Celeste & Jesse Forever and Rashida was fantastic in it.
I watched Twin Peaks when it was first run. I'd like to rewatch it now, and it's sequels.....but it just spooked the f out of me back then.
Love this ✌
I didn’t know until the past year that Quincy was her father. From musicians interviewed Quincy was a genius to work with. They say he had a way to get what he wanted while getting the best out of the musician and making g them comfortable.
This is great 👍 👌 👏 😄
My favorite nepo baby along with Maya Rudolph!
What's the documentary they're talking about? Sounds super interesting...
I loved Rashida as the lead in “ Angie Tribecca” police parody series.
3:45 Conan seems to be channeling Norm here.
Ann Perkins!
Rashida-dream girl.
I gotta say, Conan's rocking that denim jacket
1:44 u said it. Go girl
I was trying to date a college girl and finally found the courage to ask her out. She declined, saying, "I can't go out with you that night; " Twin Peaks is on." I suggested we could tape it, but she said it wouldn't be the same. Sigh. LOL.
Bob terrified Generation X.
Conan's voice still hasn't recovered from that Hot Ones episode huh?
Such s beautiful tropical fish
Why does Conan look like Anthony Michael Hall in thatGrillmaster ad?
Nice
whoa Rashida Jones. that's big for you conan
Imagine ur dad being Quincy jones thats just so wild
When its time to relax, one beer stands clear...
RIP Quincy Jones ❤🕊
While it's a totally different show I feel like Breaking Bad could be a good contemporary example of a show that blew people away and really elevated television.
Ms Rashida Jones is the perfect foil for Conan! I never saw
'Twin Peaks', and as a lapsed Catholic, the name alone was sinful! Dissonance is my life! Aaargh!
Conan saying "....my girlfriend at the time...." - Lisa Kudrow!
"Bob" was accidentally seen in a reflection in the final cut of an episode and Lynch wrote him into the show.
The ads on the clips are killing me.
They can toss their Harvard diplomas at one another.
LMAO I saw the title and legit thought they were going to say her dad was Sammy Davis Jr. I didn't even make the Jones connection, thought maybe she changed her name. 🤣
Yoooo I had no idea peggy lipton was her mom. Blind mown
Rashida is stunning still.
Everybody makes life choices....
Somehow Rashida right now is hotter and sexier than she's ever been.
She is constantly a hottie, funny and smart.
She's so beautiful, smart and charming, but I think one thing I really love is her voice. It's up there with Molly Shannon's or Scarlet Johannson. It just kills me.
I like her.
I hope she pops up on The Office reboot.
I really think that Rashida Jones is the most beautiful woman on the planet.
Is there anyone who Quincy Jones doesn’t know?
❤
and i'm about to finish Parks and Rec...coincidence?
I think not (as ghostly sounds emanate from nowhere!).
Ha! I just finished rewatching it this morning myself!
Twin Peaks changed tv and all of a sudden there were all these shows that tried to copy it in their own way. I remember when Northern Exposure came out after TP and it didn't have nearly the weirdness of it but it was really quirky with great writing and I could see that TP influenced that show.

I manifested this yesterday btw
Dude. Thank you.
@@Baby0din you're very welcome
Been a fan of hers since she was making fun of Jim Halpert for sucking at Call of Duty, lol.
If you happened to catch Blue Velvet before you saw Twin Peaks, like I did, then Twin Peaks wasn't something like you'd never seen before. Just sayin'. That's how I felt at the time.
Peggy lipton was stunningly beautiful! She was a Ford model at one time.
She does not have a travel show -- she does not go visit fans at their house...
LMAO
My god she is getting more and more stunning as she gets older.
"only three networks back then, maybe four...". Why does everybody always forget about PBS?
There's only one way
Wild that Rashida Jones is 48. She easily looks 10 years younger...
Wow Great content 🔥🔥🤣🤣🤣 This Redpill Niche is undefeated
open your damn eyes, conan!
Wish you asked Rashida how she felt about her sister being engaged to Tupac.
I hope this comes across right, but the off spring of mixed races tend to be exceedingly wholesome and beautiful.
Yeah, pretty much no way for the comment to land well. Learn the term, “race,” google it.
IMO, it’s just best practice not to comment on peoples appearance pro or con
Not hating
We normally do. There’s a lot to be said for adding ingredients to the pot
Agreed 💯 almost like nature wants it that way. Racism messes with human nature
I was today years old when I found out that she's Peggy Lipton's kid. How about that.
He's so punk
The Miller lite "commercial ' haha
Rashidas mom should have invited Bob over to hide under R's bed as a prank.
can someone link me up w/ her? Trying to lock that down
Rashida My Pants

Rashida's mom died of cancer.
She's terrifyingly stunning...
whats wrong with conans voice?
O'Brien often, and unintentionally, puts both feet in it. "Tell Q the big C said hi". Rashida Jones' mother, Peggy Lipton, died of "the big C".
🤦♂️ That's some bad luck with the C's connection.
