It's really smart how he needs line of sight to do max damage, but then his ultimate flips that on its head and gives him an advantage regardless of line of sight. It's actually a really smart and interesting way of balancing him. It's literally the exact opposite approach that Blizzard took when they made Hanzo's Scatter arrow so strong at first regardless of line of sight.
Dont FORGET Hanzo can insta kill you in the head Hawkeye needs the full passive (meaning 1.5 secs of aim in a target and headshot) Still the balance looks bad they need one tank and one support
He will be broken that's not good balance..He will be like widowmaker garbage for most..Then in a couple of months everybody going to be able to play him at full potential..And will kill the game like widowmaker

This makes a lot more sense with proper training range showcases. The actual gameplay in a match was so chaotic i couldnt even tell how, when, or why he could oneshot. And that was genuinly concerning. But this seems very fair, and flexible to balancing in case it is too strong.

I think this character is designed super well considering the kit and ergonomics of his gameplan in any situation. However he does seem a little over tuned at the moment imo.
his knockback seems too strong. he could honestly just not have that ability because he already can one shot and double jump so trying to jump him seems very frustrating

based on Primary fire alone, he and Moon Knight should be able to work well together, since moon Knight's ricocheting around his ankh would force enemies to come out from behind cover so Hawkeye can get the charge shots on them
he actually looks so unique and fun, I thought marvel rivals was going to be an OW clone but a lot of these mechanics seem really fun and match the abilities of the original sources
Glad Penny Parker got buffs, she more than anyone needed them ~ my experience during the beta was always running out of resources to do minimal damage or survive, couldn't have both consistently.

I think its great that he can only charge his shots to full power if her has LOS of an enemy. This is so much better than a widow sitting in some random corner to one shot you out of nowhere. This way there is enough time to initiate counterplay. Also i wonder what kind of projectiles can be eaten by his melee, if its just normal fire or even some ults.
Im 100% sure his ultimate is made that way because rush down characters who dash or have insane movement will be harder for him to hit, so they probably gave him this as a way to compete
I think since those afterimages last pretty long and is created for all enemies(not sure about summons or anything cuz I bet we'll have a hero with a strong, independently moving summon later); the delay between a new afterimage should be a bit more longer

he has a lot of strong peel for himself which seems too strong. he can knock people so far away so if youre playing spiderman or black panther it will be very frustrating getting knocked back and headshot
I think this was a lobby issue and not a Hawkeye issue trying to play a flying character in beta made this apparent. Hawkeye in the video didn't even need to go to high ground that's not happening in ranked haha
Really hope you can bind the different arrow types to left click and right click (hold left click for normal arrows and hold right click for explosives) I don’t like using number keys.
I feel like this game has some of the most interesting snipers in any game I've seen, both Hawkeye and Namor are really neat takes on the archetype. Can't say I love Hela but she isn't the worst.
Neither HeLa or namor are sniper archetype, they fall into long range attackers and it ain't easy you kinda need to lead a lot of shots, Hawkeye is the first true 1 shot character that falls into the sniper category, but he also seems decent enough in mid range which I think what they want with his design they want you close but not too close unlike HeLa or namor whole you don't want to get close at all
I think his skill floor / base value is higher than Hanzo because of his abilities while his skill ceiling might be about equal because how long he has to charge his bow (and he has extra abilities)
so my question is, he can melee projectiles right, but like, ANY projectiles? can he parry iron man ult or luna freeze skill, or only "basic shots" like punisher and iron man left clicks? if he can parry any projectiles that would be fucking funny

I think It balances headshot potential cause he has to expose himself for a longer period of time in exchange for more power. Of course, being exposed also means you can get snipped back or picked off by the enemy.
I do wonder. Is the focus chargup individual to the character he's looking at (comparable to Cassidy ult), or is the chargup global for him (Sojourn railgun). Basically, can you charge your focus on one character, and then use that chargup to get a pick (accidental or not) on someone else?
I am still skeptical about the one-shot. Yes, it is better than Overwatch, but you can still play this exactly like Sojourn. You can charge up to 100% easily by aiming at the big target tank and then changing your aim to a squishy in the back. It doesn't decay fast to prevent playing like that.
Seems Hulk got some QOL buffs, jump is charged faster, tackling someone in the jump - haven't seen that in the beta. Hawkeye looks very cool, definitely a high skill ceiling character, kinda miss some first-person view ability for him though, he gonna get demolished by high mobility assassins like Black Panther and Spider Man etc so pretty balanced. His ulti is similar to Strange's somewhat.
They should 100% make widow have to charge up her shot by having your crosshair on the enemy for a bit and charging up, would make mobile heros more lethal and give other heros a better chance from a widow hard scoping where you will appear from, she would still have her one shot if you can track the enemy, makes it require more skill to kill.
and her ult could still have wall hacks but for herself widow can just ping an enemy to let her team know making her more interactive with the team and make it so that during the ult she charges her one shot from the wall hacked enemies but it's a bit faster on the charge and after she gets out of the ult if she had 100% charge shot still she will keep it until she un scopes of shoots that shot.
I know this has nothing to do with marvel but it's just something i thought of hawkeye does look good not much of a fan for the after image stuff i have to experience it to know how i feel.
I play hanzo in overwatch i have usually like 35% accuracy and like 20 kills but i die a lot usually like 11 deaths in overwatch but this character will change so much i will be good for once and I've all ways liked hawkeye and im a huge fan of marvel and overwatch. I didn't get to play the beta or alpha so i can't wait to play im droping overwatch for this game

From what it looks like, the Hawkeye that was playing was mainly getting away with it cause he just looked much better than everyone else here lmao.
Yeah. Once people figure out the meta and who counters who, an aggressive Hawkeye might get punished more severely.
