In this video I show you how I would approach embellishing fascinators. (actually the ones I made in last week's video) I'll be using various different types of feathers and quills and curling them on curling tongs. In addition, I'll be showing you how to make a birdcage veil.

What do you work as?
After doing my Textiles degree I did my PGCE training in London to become an Art and Design Secondary School Teacher. Currently, I work in a hospital teaching Art part-time to 16-18 year olds. In addition, also teach art in my studio on Saturdays and I offer textile workshops to schools. I set up this channel in April 2020 after being furloughed during Lockdown but soon realised I really enjoyed designing, creating projects, filming and editing videos.

The green with feathers is my favorite. But I also really like the veiled fascinator. It reminds me of the little white hat my mother use to wear to church back in the 1960's.
