- Acrylic pour with purples on a vase! Love how this one came out :)
Acrylic Pour on a Vase (Clean Pour method). Here are the basic steps:
1. Clean vase with alcohol
2. Put vase on a cup on top of a canvas (use the canvas to catch the dripped paint, then make a painting out of the canvas)
3. Pour paint onto vase in whatever order and whatever colors you'd like (see my paint mix ratio below)
4. Once done applying paint, let it drip for about 15 minutes
5. Move vase off of canvas, set it to the side to finish drying and make a painting out of the canvas
6. Once vase is fully dry (it takes about a day), seal it. I use Rustoleum Crystal Clear Enamel Spray.
Materials used:
Artist's Loft Flow Acrylics
Liquitex Basics Acrylic Paints
DR acrylic ink
Floetrol
Water
Mix ratio: 5 parts floetrol, 3 parts paint, 2 parts water
The ink is mixed with approximately 50% ink and 50% floetrol, no water.

I have poured some vases too but I have done a dirty pour instead of individual. Both techniques work well. I have also done xmas bulbs via dirty pour with great results. love the canvas at 4:21! looks like a giant flower!
I did this technique earlier this week and I loved rhe results. I did one last night with coasters and a canvas underneath..loved it!

First time watching you and I'm hooked! Not only are your results awesome but your method is praiseworthy also. You don't waste any paint; I hate all the paint I waste doing a pour. I tried paint glass by carefully scooping the paint drippings and sliding them onto the glass. I got some decent results but it's so time-consuming trying to scoop up the drippings without it mixing to mud, which it does in fairly short order. Thank you for sharing your ideas and your talent. I have only been pouring for a short time and I intend to continue following you to learn as much as I possibly can. Be Blessed and stay safe during these trying times.

I'd liked to see you do a vase with blue, purple, greens with pops of neon orange, pink and yellow. Love watching your pours and videos are relaxing to watch. My daughter wants us to try it but told her she needs to watch more videos and see what different types of mediums to use. I told her canvases can get expensive.
This isnt a very expensive hobby my boyfriend and I do it straight for fun pain is kind of expensive depending in brands etc but I always try and look around for sales you can find some really good ones on canvases and paints etc floetrol is cheap and u can get silicone cheap too in a spray can works great. I think you should definitely try and encourage your daughter to Express her interest in different arts. Theres always a way around $, after all starving artist isnt a turn of phrase for nothing😊
