This is the video I remember! In highschool we had to pick a song and explain how we understood the meaning of the song. I choose this one! In today's time all we need is love and continue to be Free!
Thank you Zac for what you do for our Troops....I know God will bless you for this. Thanks to our troops we are FREE. My son was killed in Afghanistan and I know he is finally FREE!!! I just saw you in concert and you and your band are GREAT!!
I was at the concert in Balad in 2010, it’s the one with the big American Flag attached to the t-walls. This video brings back so many memories. Can’t believe it’s been 10 years.
My brother is in the navy and I’m thinking of joining. Words can’t express the amount of love and respect I have for this song a video.Mad respect ✊⚓️🇺🇸❤️😭
The first time I heard "Free" was this video on CMT way back when. Fell in love with the song before the first chorus and was in tears by the end. God bless our troops for making sure we really are "Free"! 💖🇺🇲
My experience was similar, the first time hearing the song coincided with my first time seeing the video. Now I'm not a man who often weeps, but I was stopped in my tracks and the tears just poured out of my eyes.
Same. We patrolled pretty much all day every day, but actually had the night they came through scheduled as an off day purely by chance. Got woke up early that morning, and one of our checkpoints had been blown up, so we ended up dealing with that and missed the show. (2 Pesh soldiers basically sacrificed themselves for us, but thankfully none of us were injured more than concussions) This video always hits me hard, thinking about those days and my feelings towards them.
