Creating a vacuum where all of a sudden workers could demand more pay. But this was only a small percentage of overall inflation. Second, you had the largest deficit ever recorded, this massive government spending, spending that is just a transfer, no actual assets were purchased. This also contributed to inflation and to a larger degree but still small compared to the third factor. NUMBER THREE: Trump gave massive tax breaks to the rich. If the rich know that earning an extra dollar will result in them needing to give to the government at 90%, they won't earn that extra dollar. The way it was before Reagan. Towards the end of the year, businesses would give out bonuses to ensure they didn't hit the highest tax brackets. This created a strong middle class. Businesses could also not earn that money in the first place by offering their products at a lower price. Keeping prices stable. Once Trump made the taxes essentially zero( see trump's tax return), there was no incentive to not be greedy, and this is what we are seeing. Greed, pain and simple. Look at the profits businesses are making but are still laying off workers. Just to be clear, I'm rich, I'm an economist, and I worked directly for top republican economists. I do not support Trump. But I'm not liberal either. Finally, taking two words and mashing them together doesn't count as 4 syllables. Heck, he knew that Biden migrant crime was too difficult for his supporters and reduced it down to bigrant crime.

I would argue it is entrenched politicians and unelected bureaucrats, see Chuck Schumer’s explanation on how the intelligence community can ruin your life as an example. From my perspective, many people voted for Trump for the same reason they voted for Obama. It’s a rejection of the political elite and an act of desperation to try and fix the system. People do not believe DC is working for them and as a result are looking for someone who is new to the stage and doesn’t bring decades of DC baggage with them. Many may have voted for both Obama and Trump.
