    You've grown a lot man over the past year which is great to see and well deserved. I still remember when you were starting out. Wish I could watch more but I can't play often anymore because of work. This is an awesome video idea though and I know I'd jump all over sending in my gameplay if I could play lol.

    check your Twitter mentions, I just uploaded a game of HUT Comp Seasons to YT and @ you the link in hopes you could look over my gameplay and inform me what needs work, what i'm doing right/wrong,AND...please don't hold back because I can take constructive criticism and of course I already know im not that great, I should have uploaded a game vs a guy that was a little better skill wise but I also know how skilled you are in NHL & am sure you can watch it over and pick up on things I don't notice & things I could do to improve my win/lose ratio, thanks BrianStormd, keep up the awesomeness :)

    Hey man, really love the vids they’ve been super helpful getting into the series (18 was my first one) and always looking forward to them. I feel like one of my biggest issues is having trouble understanding how dekeing/getting defenders going for hits to just glide off. Is there a simple way to explain how the forehand/backhand glide work and how it effects defenders ability to hit you?

    • @Brianstormed
      @Brianstormed  5 років тому

      I don't know if there is a simple way to describe it. I'd say it depends on how your player anticipates the hit (his body position). In previous years this was very lenient for the puck carrier where as long as you turned your body they couldn't lay a clean hit on you (usually through pulling back on the right stick). This year, for the most part, it's only when the hitter is "trailing" and chasing after the puck carrier

    I may look into sending something in. I struggle in creating offencive cahnces. Which has made me good at defense. But you can't win without scoring.

  • @madsquirre1

    Maybe I'm just missing something but I seem to have a LOT of trouble stopping cross creases. I can position my D and he just watches it go by him. In my last game I let in 4 goals this way and each time i was right next to the pass.....how do you stop it? Other players seem to stop the pass but for me it almost seems better to let the AI stop it. If I could fix this one thing that would probably stop 50% of my opponents goals. Please help!

    • @Brianstormed
      @Brianstormed  5 років тому +3

      Ahh I hate this part of defense. I feel you, lots of competitive games I play I am in the passing lane and it goes right through my players for a cross crease goal. Its ridiculous and its one of the things I hate about the NHL series.Ideally, you'd want to tie up the player who is receiving the past. Problem is, not everyone has the reflexes for that. A stick lift in time can work too. Most times you want to stand around the middle point, or closer to the receiver. If you are standing closer to the passer, they can make a stronger pass that will get by you for sure. The next thing would be vision control (LT/L2), you want to use that and position yourself facing the puck carrier so that your player has better awareness to take the puck. Hope it helps!

    Connection Bars don't work properly! Playing from Australia and these bars always read poor. I've never had an issue with lag ever and these bars have just made it harder for me to get games!

    • @Brianstormed
      @Brianstormed  5 років тому

      It's tricky, it may be that your opponent is feeling the lag and not you. I know when I have a green bar I'm ~99% sure it'll be a good connection. If it's a red or yellow bar I've had those lag hiccups and it ruins the flow of the game.

    I don’t think completely resetting the game is necessary to quit. I just mash the start button till the menu comes up to quit. As long as you beat the puck drop your fine. In regards to losing contracts, it only effects rental players. They will lose a game regardless on who quits the game. Regular players are un effected .

    • @Brianstormed
      @Brianstormed  5 років тому

      I don't like doing this because you may not be fast enough with the opening cutscene being skipped. I've done this once before where it ended up being a DNF. With a bad connection you may not be able to even pause it until the faceoff lol

      It's the best pack to buy if you want to spend money on the game. You are guaranteed about 500k coins compared to pulling garbage from other packs. With coins, I'd probably buy one of those cards individually, hold onto them, and sell when they rise in price. Overall though, hate the pack. Makes it harder running into elite players with them.

      Im just not sure how he would be able to get clips from it if he don't have the video file, keep in mind I don't know how he'd do it but I think im gonna record a game n fingers crossed he picks it n helps me figure out what im doing wrong/right...BrianStorm ed is my favourite NHL UA-camr to watch, i'm not into pack openings cause it frustrates me to watch people put money into packs n the highest they pull is an 82ovr which isn't fair to them after putting so much cash into packs, I mean you COULD get the pack that cost $129.99CDN where you're guaranteed a Legend and 3 other cards but not everyone has that much to put on making their team a contender right away lol & course if there's EA Gamechangers who im sure must get about 1,000,000 NHL Points a week so they can make videos of open packs all the time for their subs/viewers and usually end up with a wicked ass stacked team right from the start while others (myself included) gotta grind hard AF 4 a mediocre team and still manage to get stomped on by elite players, so much for playing for the fun, some ppl get 2 mad when they lose lol and they'll let you know via message so you don't forget lmfao!! We all know its all about the Benjamin's nowadays haha anyway gtg so keep grinding n good luck to all who feel they lack it!! :)

    • @Brianstormed
      @Brianstormed  5 років тому

      Well, maybe I was exaggerating. They don't do as much as they did last year. The switching off at the last second is a pretty advanced tactic, its tough that you are running into that. I'd try to get rid of the puck as much as possible if people are charging at you and doing that, until you are down to one man and then try to move around him

    Bs. I get green bars before the game and when the game starts the connection goes to shit. Also a.i are destroying me and I ain’t a noob. This video is inaccurate. Everyone using the 1-3-1 and 1-4 this is ruining the game

    • @Brianstormed
      @Brianstormed  5 років тому

      That can happen from time to time, I experienced a terrible green bar connection earlier this week but overall it cuts down on those laggy occurrences. As far as the AI goes, the best way to handle them defensively is to stop them along the blueline and force them to dump it in by creating a blockade (which, is best with 1-3-1 or 1-4 lol) and you'll get the puck most times. If you can stop them from taking any shots, you'll eventually win, right?
