I couldn't get past the explanation of Blood Eagle without getting scarred for life
Fear not there is very limited evidence that it's real.
@@Kaze_Lsk But it is physically possible. That's nightmarish enough for me.
@Kaze_Lsk it was real the Scandinavians used it as ritual punishment where if the victim doesn't scream for the duration of the torture, they would be granted access to Valhalla
@@V.E.G.A.C0RE 'There is debate about whether the blood eagle was historically practiced, or whether it was a literary device invented centuries later by the Christian Norse authors who transcribed the sagas. No contemporary accounts of the rite exist, and the scant references in the sagas are several hundred years after the Christianization of Scandinavia.'
the way i've read an extremely detailed description of how blood eagle is done ... in a bts fanfiction out of all places ...
Thanks so much for this!!!

They'd be used instead to tear off a certain part of the male body

this actually happened to me tho, i ended up pulling an all-nighter in fear of having a bad dream or smth

It almost sounds unreal that this is what people used to do 300 years ago

In pau de arara (arara's pole) the victim's behind was left up for grabs, usually the torturer would insert stuff there. It was largely used during Brazil's military regime (64-85).
