almost all the 'wasabi' in sushi restaurants is really just horseradish dyed green. real wasabi root is expensive. so if you got real wasabi, that probably explains why it tastes stronger than you remember

I wish UA-camrs would figure out that American "Wasabi" is actually just green-colored horseradish. You either have to go to a nice Asian restaurant or an Asian market to actually get real wasabi in the U.S. Although, this may be real wasabi, I don't know.

Actually jordan, a lot of "wasabi" is actually just food colored horse radish. Since horse radish and wasabi are actually closely related species, people don't really notice the difference until they are told so. Genuine wasabi is very expensive and is often used in 5 star sushi bars. I hope this enlightens you. PEACE!

Siracha isn't very spicy in my opinion. I have a better tolerance for spice than before that I even ate a jalapeño from my Vietnamese fried chicken and it didn't taste spicy at all!

REAL wasabi is very expensive. Most "wasabi" is just dyed horseradish
real wasabi is also much sweeter and milder than the horseradish version, so its better he used this for the challenge :P

i believe that there are 2 forms of wasabi. One that is made from something other than the traditional plant and one that is made using the actual plant. Perhaps you are used to the non traditional kind and this one may be the traditional kind and maybe it is stronger. dont quote me on that though as i am not a wasabi expert
