There is a template, to be fair though the execution, cinematography and pacing mean a lot. (Been through 30ys of these to know). Let's see if it delivers.

It must have worked because he never came back or called. My mother had to contact him to get an update. All he said was that he felt great and normal. I expected a better response but I guess. My mother put the demon in a doll, and kept that particular doll in her room, locked. Still blows my mind till this day that someone could pay that much money to someone who claims to be a witch. The kid has an imaginary friend, starts to act weird but the parents brush it off, jumpscare, the child becomes possesed, the parents ignore all of the unexplainable paranormal events, another jumpscare, the creature kills some people, jumpscare again, they get help from some relieable source, learn about the entity and finnaly vanish the evil demon before it kills the kid and probably do a final jumpscare to hint that the demon is not gone yet and will probably come back in a sequel. Totally a never done before horror story.

These movies are usually about children dealing or coping with trauma or crisis. The creatures always symbolize some sort of repressed emotion in the child "drawing" it. Like a complex. The creatures are "Complexes" of the children.

This film was pretty decent for a smaller scale production. It's more psychological and drama than horror,but the hidden lining in it all is that it displays what vindictive women do to single fathers,and how one sided the powers that be are. Definetely worth the watch.

I really hope all future horror take notes from this film this is what we need straight to the point and in your face this is up there with insidious and conjuring series 👍🏽
