Pine time! Your setup is great! Two verticals and conveyors! I’m going to try some pine bundles in the spring! Got a Wolfe Ridge bundler that got sent home with me a couple months ago. Figured I’d make some wrapped pine bundles and sell them cheaper than our hardwood bags and see how they go🤷♂️ Good stuff P&K👍🏻👍🏻
Well really only one an a half conveyors the turd only runs on nice days lol . I know around here some people sell hardwood bundles and some do pine bundles so it’s definitely worth a try . People always like a verity.
I think that set up should save us time on cleaning up . I figured if I didn’t wash the truck an trailer all that dirt an slush would be froze on for the next month or 2 .
Processing wood in one spot makes it logistically a nightmare to keep cleaned up. I put rubber matts down to aid in sweeping the fines to larger pieces with a flat shovel. For now working great until I place concrete. Poor man’s floor LoL !!
Great video!! Its great to see different splitters doing different things!! Ms. Karen, dont know how you put up with Phil razing you!!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Pretty soon Karen Phil will be wrestling the vacuum cleaner away from you and washing your windows, glad to see him washing that nice trailer and pick up truck, one of my favorite tools was always my pressure washer but now I am too old to get it started. Cold and clear, good splitting weather for you guys “Pine is Fine”, just not all the time I guess. You “DEW” well Phil, cheers!
We cut an split whatever we get for free . We never know what’s next hardwood or pine but we have a good market now for both . Perdy slim chance you will see me on the end of a vacuum lol . I’d be happy with an inch of sawdust on my living room floor . I love the cold temps for working outside . The summer heat does me in fast .
Phil usually keeps the inside of his truck clean 😂. Seems like a clean freak to me. How does Phil really feel about the bark scraps? Don’t hold back now.

Ok another great video. You make Karen pick up the rounds whereas you slide yours over. Well why not make her a slide to go from the bucket to the table that could be put into place when she has to split. it would be so much easier and would increase production. it would need to be about 24" wide and 48" long and solid steel but could even be supported by posts running longways from the table to the bucket. Hello Phil and Karen. I never thought I would see Karen happy about another road side wood stand. More stands, more work means more money $$$. Phil orange is not your color, better to stay with Buster and the hopper feeder. Thanks for another good video
Not very often we get offered a free spot to have a stand . I think if the axis was in line with the hopper feeder I would be running that instead of buster . That orange equipment from eastonmade sure has saved our bacon especially that conveyor.
What percentage do you guys give the people where you set up a stand? just wondering for an idea also, I put my order in for a 7 x 14 dump trailer at thumb Trailers today just drove 1100 miles round-trip to go look at one in Sandusky. Wow were they nice Wow, nice.
Wow that’s a long ways to go to buy a trailer . We do a lot of different things with the people we have stands at . They range from being free locations to paying them 20% and we also have spots we pay one price for the whole season . All kinda depends on how good the location is and the deal you can work out with the owner of the location .

Well heck I really don’t know how many ton the axis is rated for but I’m sure eastonmade made must have a spec sheet someware on line . I will say it’s split everything we have thrown at it so far .
Leave her big rounds in the bucket. Dump them on your side on your way for a refill. Try to fill Buster with big rounds and leave the ones she can handle in the bucket for the axis. Give that a shot I can't imagine why it wouldn't work...
I have the rounds all cut up in the bunker and the big ones get mixed in with the small ones . Not really possible to separate them out unless I stop splitting and hand load the bucket . I do try my best in the tractor to just get the smaller rounds for her .
Once the pine drys most of the bark falls off anyway so there’s usually a bunch of bark in ea bag . The customers that buy our bagged wood have told us numerous times they like a clean product. Couldn't Dana build you a smaller version of the green monster to feed the Easton splitter it would help the president, account, bill collector, oh the stacker person in plain English it would help Karen, lol
We had looked into building one before we had the green monster but it’s a minimum 8 grand for materials and to pay Dana a few bucks . Maybe down the rd we can add a hopper feeder to the axis but everything takes lots of $ .
Would it be more or less time efficient to just switch machines when Karen is in the woodyard? Buster may or may not be faster than the Axis but how fast is it when sitting idle between getting buckets of wood for Karen.
Karen could jump over to buster but I would have to slow it down . The adjustment for buster is a lil more involved to slow it down and then I’d have to speed it back up after I got her a bucket full of rounds . It’s not as simple to adjust like the axis .
@@AllenFamilyFirewood I was thinking more like running Buster for the duration of her visit not jumping back and forth between buckets, I was not aware of Buster speed adjustment assumed it was just a matter of throttling him down. just an observation when Karen cuts the bark off majority is done with the left side of the wedge opposite direction from the tote and old habits are hard to break.👍

Great video. Every time I use my box wedge what a mess. I purchased a large four wheel pull cart and use 5 gallon buckets. That cart is priceless.
