I had literally just ordered some repro cards and bubbles from Beggars Canyon, after fighting with the idea of 'sealing' some old Joes on cards. This was just the right vid at just the right time!
Good morning Michael, I love your channel man, every time I view one of your vids I get a "Saturday morning cartoons" vibe all over again! As far as the magnets go What a great Idea!!
As a Hotwheel collector in my youth i was taught the ancient collector secret of making a U-cut on blister bubbles for optional re-packing. It works on most blister packaging. Transformers, BeastWars, StarWars, Marvel, and Joes.
I came up with my own way of recarding my vintage star Wars figures to keep in or out of the bubble. Very awesome. I have not seen these magnets wow pretty interesting.
Very cool idea! Think I'll try taking your idea a step further and pre-paint some magnets in white, black, red, and yellow to try and further blend them into the card art, depending on where they're placed. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for this video...growing up by far my favourite Joe to play with was that version of Snake Eyes with Timber! So cool to see him back in that beautiful card back. Always love your channel brother!
Mike, Awesome technique brother! 👍. In the past I have owned many rare carded action figures and the thought of blisters falling off or having a Joe’s o-ring break frightened me!! I sold them all off and only have a few modern figures on card!👍 This is a great substitute for having nice figures on a beautiful card at a fraction of the price. Thanks for sharing😁
Pretty cool, I too have my original Snake-Eyes that I got in 1986 when the back file cards were colored gray, its complete with all accessories I've sinced replaced the o-ring but the only issue is that on the backpack one of the pegs that hold his sword broke many years ago.
I have to say those card backs look amazing. This is a very nice technique for recreating a mint on card styled packaging. I love how this could be used for other vintage toy lines. I may explore this concept myself for a feature project as my collection expands.
Thanks for the Awesome idea Michael ! Did this with N 35 magnets & it works great. I've recarded a few of my Joes with Beggars Canyon cardbacks. Keep up the excellent work.
I have to be honest with you Michael. Last week when you mentioned this video I didn’t think I was going to like your idea. However, I was still looking forward to your video. I guess you can say I was a little curious. After watching your video..... All I’m going to say is your idea is freaking awesome! It’s simple and looks great! The magnets you picked were a perfect size. I’m looking forward to now doing the same to my collection. I have a couple of figures (Scarlett) to name one that I need to card ASAP! Thank you Michael for sharing!
Beggar's Canyon, You say!!! Now I know, and knowing is half the Battle, (Sorry, Couldn't resist!!!) Good stuff, Michael. I have a few guys that need that Special Treatment! Always a fun time watching your videos! Take care and Yo Joe!!!
Wow great idea to display and still play with figures. You mention they are 1x5 magnets. I see they also sell 1x3 ... have you tried them and do you think that size would be too weak to handle the figure weight? Thx
Better than the hasbro reissue. Also michael please do a video on the target exclusives gi joe 6 inch...lots of people me included sad that they sold out in less than a minute and are 100$ plus on ebay.
I'm no expert, but i'd definitely be patient with the Target exclusives,i know its hard, but i've learned that after years of collecting. You'll most likely be able to find them for much less than retail,or actually at retail.
Hii Michael I am a big fan of you and your work... My concern is .. Most of my Joe's screws are rusted and they are not coming out too, please tell me what I need to do to open those screws ..
Thanks! Not much you can do at this point, unfortunately. Just try to unscrew them slowly and if it breaks, try to find replacement parts on Ebay. Good luck!
Rad! Great idea! You get the that "Wow!" factor without breaking the bank. I didn't even notice the magnets until you pointed it out. Just need a new PSA: "Hey, kids! Don't eat the magnets that come with your G.I. Joe action figures!" 😉 Jk
Cool custom!! I really like the idea of hasbro doing a clamshell card. But that would never happen because they hope collectors will buy two of each . Do you get any $$ if I let the commercial play? Nerdmaste`!!
I had literally just ordered some repro cards and bubbles from Beggars Canyon, after fighting with the idea of 'sealing' some old Joes on cards. This was just the right vid at just the right time!
That's amazing shape for your vintage Snake Eyes.
Very cool and informative video Michael, thank you.
Thank you for the shoutout! Such a creative video as well!
Very cool. I like using those mini, Joe-sized Star Cases and using a double sided-tape to stick it onto the repro cardback.
That 85 Snake Eyes and the card art gives me all feels!!! Excellent job Michael 👌Have a great day good brother 👍
Fantastic idea Michael! I never thought of this. Thanks so much for sharing!
That's pretty macgyver !!!! Amazing job pal !!!!
Good morning Michael, I love your channel man, every time I view one of your vids I get a "Saturday morning cartoons" vibe all over again! As far as the magnets go What a great Idea!!
Thanks! Glad to hear it. :D
Great idea! And thanks for letting me know where to get the card backs and blisters!
Great idea could also work on vehicle box flaps that don't stay shut. My plan for the retro line was to relive some childhood memories and open them.
Great idea!

Wow what a great idea!!! Thanks for sharing Michael

Thank you for sharing this. What a great way of attaching the figures to the cards!
Awesome project
*Good morning Michael!* 🌞

Cool idea!
This is great! Thanks!
I use these magnets for Everything! This is a fantastic idea. Great job buddy!
Thanks for this video...growing up by far my favourite Joe to play with was that version of Snake Eyes with Timber! So cool to see him back in that beautiful card back. Always love your channel brother!

Epic, epic, epic video, I am totally going to do this, Thank you sir!!
I love this. I am going to try this myself. Thanks!

Awesome custom Micheal. What a clever idea 👍

you could easily add a touch of white / black paint to the magnets on the front to make them a tad more invisible.
Love it! x
It's crazy how good his original snake eyes looks
Quite possibly the coolest action figure ever.
Excellent video and tutorial 👌.
Another great video and great idea!
At the start of the video I was pretty skeptical, but I must admit they actually look great!
What a cool idea!
If I were Beggars Canyon, I would start selling those magnets asap! Great video!
I have used beggars canyon and have been really happy with there reproduction cards.
This is a great idea. Might try to use this technique for some of my vintage Star Wars figures 👍🙏
Really cool
Beggar's Canyon, You say!!! Now I know, and knowing is half the Battle, (Sorry, Couldn't resist!!!) Good stuff, Michael. I have a few guys that need that Special Treatment! Always a fun time watching your videos! Take care and Yo Joe!!!
I love this idea.
Thanks Clive!
Impressive most impressive 😎
Man, I wish there was someone doing repro cards for '80s Transformers. I would love to have the '84 minicars (pre-rub) in vehicle mode on card.
And I am with you about the Retro line; Hasbro did not make what I wanted this time around. The cards look great but the figure choice is perplexing.
That's an excellent idea
Thanks!
Just incase anyone wants to look for the magnets, they’re also known as Neodymium magnets I believe.
I think I've heard them called rare earth magnets. I used to use them when making figures for war gaming to make items easily removable.
Love your your 85 snake eyes my favorite is firefly.
Wow great idea to display and still play with figures. You mention they are 1x5 magnets. I see they also sell 1x3 ... have you tried them and do you think that size would be too weak to handle the figure weight? Thx
Haven't tried them. Probably too weak to work but doubling them up might make them strong enough.
Other than Beggars Canyon, what other online store makes repro cards? as I can't find any for some of the late 80's/early 90's joes that I want.
Better than the hasbro reissue. Also michael please do a video on the target exclusives gi joe 6 inch...lots of people me included sad that they sold out in less than a minute and are 100$ plus on ebay.
Thanks! Won't be able to do a video on that because I don't have it.
I'm no expert, but i'd definitely be patient with the Target exclusives,i know its hard, but i've learned that after years of collecting. You'll most likely be able to find them for much less than retail,or actually at retail.
This is a great idea. I just placed an order at Beggars cannon toys and ordered some magnets.
A little update...I tried this and it worked great. I don't even notice the magnets. It looks fantastic. Thanks for the idea.
YO JOE!!!

@@MichaelMercy thank you so much you are very kind as always ..I am from india sending love from here🙏

what is the idea behind have it stuck inside permanently?
Do they sell those magnets at craft stores like Hobby Lobby or Michaels? Or can you only get them online?
I've only seen them on Ebay.
Cool.
Cool idea. I'd paint the magnets to hide them better.
What's the or site of the hard plastic case.not the star case?
非常喜欢你的视频,这简直太棒了。
谢谢
Nice
Cool idea! I may look into doing that. What was the rifle you had in with Lowlight? Thanks for sharing this cool idea, NERDMASTE'! 😊
Thanks! Not sure where I got the rifle. It's from one of the modern Joes I think.
Where do you get the cards and bubbles at?
www.beggarscanyontoys.com
Cool custom!! I really like the idea of hasbro doing a clamshell card. But that would never happen because they hope collectors will buy two of each . Do you get any $$ if I let the commercial play? Nerdmaste`!!
Ok so how do you tell now if a MOC figure was never repacked? Especially that sells for outrageous money
What size n50 magnet do you use?
how many of your figures did you do this for?
Not many. Only my favourites.
👏
RIP Hector Garrido..
Great idea!
