I’m 60 now and don’t ask me why, but, I tear up when I hear this song, maybe it’s the memories of my glory days in the 70’s or just the beauty of the song or both. Bonfires and the beach days
This is my proof that Led Zeppelin couldn't make a bad song. It's not one of my favorites, but I still enjoy every listen of it. Tomorrow, though. Ten Years Gone. You'll be in need of a face transplant after that one. Good work, my dude! Hope you're well, and I look forward to the next one!
This song is why this is my favorite LZ album. The album showcases their mastery of diverse genres. I believe the song is about protecting the environment. "Show your love to your lady nature".
3:34 that change-up fascinated me so much when I first began listening to more legit music 12 or so years ago. That has stuck with me so long. Change up and transitions in songs have become my favorite part about music since then and how I go about writing a lot my stuff.
Oh my God man I had completely forgotten about this song. What a beautiful song! It's just so beautiful in so many ways. Wow. I really really love this song. I used to listen to it a lot when I was your age but it's not one of the ones I normally think of if I go listen to Led Zeppelin now and then on youtube. Fantastic.
The only thing you can ever expect when hearing a Led Zeppelin song for the first time is unexpected brilliance...I've always loved how smooth their transitions are in each song. This one is a beautiful gem with deep lyrics that are even more relevant today.
This song dates back to 1970 when they were first coming up with songs for the 3rd album. It was recorded during the 4th album but wasn't released. They added it to Graffiti to make up a double album.
When I was a teenager I always used to joke about this song, but it was only when I was older that I suddenly 'heard' it for the first time, and heard as unmistakeably pure Zeppelin - a thing of beauty and a vibe that just takes me away into that beautiful carefree world.
This song was inspired when Jimmy Page and Robert plant vacation in the Caribbean and the South Pacific! That's why Jimmy's guitar is tuned to Hawaiian and South Pacific playing! This song is played at some tiki bars!
Hey Silas that was awesome watching you hear that for the first time. It's been one of my favorites since it came out. I still have my vinyl. It's called a "shuffle" that's what Bonahm was famous for. That part in the middle was just a quick bridge and then a turn around back to the beginning. I was waiting in pain saying dont stop its going to get better!
I always thought this had such a cool sound, and love the melody. Sometime when you're done getting thru these reactions to PG, you should relax and listen to the entire album. I am highly biased, however. 😁 Another great reaction.
I really love as a huge ZEPPELIN fan that someone of your age is so impressed by the sound and quality of their music....please embrace the great sound and how very diverse those 4 guys were....please when you get a chance listen to the interviews of Jimmy Page and Robert Plant about them it's very good and especially Mr Page....he was the master mind ,creator, guitarist and producer of the band that we still love today....and if you ever get a chance to go see the tribute band named (Get the Led Out) or GTLO do it....they hooked me on ZEPPELIN....that's how good they are as a cover band....they will rock your world!!!!!
SILAS, as much as you enjoyed “Down By The Seaside”, the next song that follows it on the album is one of their best: “Ten Years Gone”. You’ll want to crank your headphones for that one!
What a strange song. I’ve decided I like it more than I would have thought I would. I normally like their harder and bluesy stuff. It just kinda feels like everything they touched turned to gold. Silas- I have soooo many ideas of bands and songs that I would love for you to react to. Rock on!
Hi mate, waiting for you to do 'ACHILLES LAST STAND', thats gonna blow your socks off. Great reactions so far, three cheers to you and your lady thanks
I like that Black Sabbath was a choice on what band you do next . I think it'll probably be Pink Floyd , but I'm asking you to just think about Ozzy ozbourne. Diary of a Madman album. blizzard of Oz album. Randy Rhoads is the guitar player. The music will get you going bro. Like your videos. Hi to Olivia . Peace.
Which one of the songs doesn't go with the others ? Lol Couldn't stand it when I first heard it at 18. At 55 it's brilliant and so relevant on this record. It's a great mood changer and shocks you on the first few listens. Wait, what .... what was that ?
A nice, mellow song that doesn’t sound like Zeppelin at all. I could do without the middle section because it interrupts the flow, IMO. But, I guess it helps make it a little more interesting.
It absolutely DOES sound like country, correct on that one. Bands are never independent of past/ existing music styles, never islands unto themselves, except for, I suppose the very first cavemen to make sound which they liked, like beating on a mammoth carcus with a bone, nobody came before them. Hey man, you're freakin out at the changes. Wait until you get into Rush (assuming you do), the transitions you get there will really make your head spin.
Great song. The next one is a masterpiece, and one that's perfect for you and Alivia.

Oh how true.... its my favourite on this album 10 years... face transplant... lol gold
Tomorrow is the one I’ve been waiting for. A true masterpiece and my fave by them. You’re gonna love it. Can’t wait.
This song is why this is my favorite LZ album. The album showcases their mastery of diverse genres. I believe the song is about protecting the environment. "Show your love to your lady nature".
This Album is a example of LZ diversity
When you aren't owned by a record company you can put out any sound you want
This is the soundtrack to my first days, weeks and months in the Navy. Happy memories.
They did everything well!
Totally agree. This always felt like the most relaxing song I'd ever heard. I can picture Robert recording the vocals lying flat on his back :-)
@@michaelatkinson8291 yep they are absolutely unbelievable!
One of my favorites, their mastery and creativeness in full display.
I love this song so much! Led Zeppelin 4ever!!!

Definitely has a country-western vibe to it...so relaxing, as always the vocals are incredible
I love your love for the timeless classics that are Led Zeppelin 😎Your face was our face back in the day 😎

So relaxing! Nice summer vibe!
Definitely one of my favorites off this album..so magical :)
Zeppelin,,,#1. Pink Floyd #2. When you get to them,,,just do Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals and The Wall. 💥💥💥💥👍😎
A very pleasant song
I always thought this had such a cool sound, and love the melody. Sometime when you're done getting thru these reactions to PG, you should relax and listen to the entire album. I am highly biased, however. 😁 Another great reaction.
Get Alivia with you tomorrow for Ten Years Gone. My favourite Zeppelin tune
This one always makes me feel a little nostalgic and it's in the top 5 of my favorite Zeppelin songs.
Can you imagine having the same reaction in 70s when it was only vinyl. No stopping only internal reaction for the listener...
Love this song! ❤

This song never got a lot of air time but it is a hidden gem
Masterful album
Gotta keep this going w/ their next album, Presence!
Great song.
Yeah this is one of my favourite tunes on this album but tomorrow’s 10 years gone is an absolute masterpiece you’re going to love it.
Excellent 👍🎶🔊
Great reaction to great song.
I love their diversity. I can't wait till you get to "Achilles Last Stand".
dope song
Next up for you: Zep's greatest song.
Hey cool reaction Si.
Sing loud for the sunshine
Pray hard for the rain
And show your love for lady nature
And she will come back again
The slide guitar and Fender Rhodes - yep, sounds a bit country in the beginning.
SILAS, as much as you enjoyed “Down By The Seaside”, the next song that follows it on the album is one of their best: “Ten Years Gone”. You’ll want to crank your headphones for that one!
I hope you do In through the out door as well! Fool in the rain is my favorite off that one
He's going through every album progressively, as he should. He'll do it after the next one which is Presence.
What a strange song. I’ve decided I like it more than I would have thought I would. I normally like their harder and bluesy stuff. It just kinda feels like everything they touched turned to gold.

Another great band besides Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd is Rush! Try The Spirit Of Radio, 2112, YYZ, Tom Sawyer, La Villa Strangiato!!
One of my favorites.
My 17 yr old prodigy guitarist says this lp is too hippy for him lol
(With a couple of rocking exceptions)
That's because he's 17
Once he tries weed his opinion will change, and he will realize being a hippy is a good thing.
@@Mike-rk8px you got that right brother
NEIL YOUNG"S down by the river inspired this song
Please ask Alicia to react to the next song with you. Thanks.
It does sound like country.
I did like that transition mid-way through that you mentioned. Otherwise, this one is an easy pass for me.
This is what is known as "bedroom music".
Silas,it does sound county!
Mind your language!
Also Country...
@@kolossimike Well they did have Hot Dog!

Just waiting for Boogie with Stu.

You have to listen to pink Floyd comfortably numb live pulse!!!!!!
It's OK, it is only Jimmy Page Saying Hello!! "Show your love, for Ladies and she will come back again"!
A nice, mellow song that doesn’t sound like Zeppelin at all.
