Not always. Some of her favorite foundations and face products say those words like “dewy/luminous” . It’s always good to try it out :) find some new gems
It says it's best for oily, combo, and normal skin, seems like a good enough reason to try it even if some of the descriptions don't match typical foundations for oily skin
Ladies, I have very dry 45-year-old skin and this foundation including the powder works better for me than the foundations that are made for dry skin. So I guess we really never know until we try it on our skin how exactly it performs.
Thanks for this review! Patrick Ta products are quality and I love his blushes, eyeshadows, etc... I figure if you're getting both a foundation and powder for $52? Not too bad.. if you look at it that way, $26 a pop lol
Cassie! You got retainers on? Anyway, I think it looked nice initially. But I guess it's not one of those put it on then forget about it type of foundation. Would you be trying out Lisa Eldrige foundation? It's pricey, but maybe you would love it? Thank you for the review!
You should try the Estee lauder futurist hydra rescue foundation! I have a similar skin type to yours-oily acne prone, texture here and there, dry patches around acne spots. It's a very beautiful foundation, and I think you'll really like it.
I wonder if you used a different loose powder, that that would change things? Also, Patrick Ta face products e.g. cream & powder bronzer duos in similar packaging, are amazingly good. Thanks for the oily skin gal review. 💜💜
Absolutely love your weekly wear videos, I’m a fellow super duper ‘fry and egg on my face’ oily girl, you save me so much time and money, love love love love love!
Btw,I love cream foundation I have just bought the new tarte shape tape cream foundation,it’s really awesome! I don’t need to use powder to set and it s really nice and silky! Its like a ultra smooth buttery texture turns to a very light powdered finish without cracking or drying! I have dry skin and its in my top 3 now.i own many foundations especially most of the popular ones, you should try!!❤
I've been wanting to get a new foundation so I can't wait to watch this video! Adding: Just finished the video. Appreciate how throughly you test out foundations. I'm going to pass on this one. I'll have to watch some of your other videos see if there is one I want to try. I've watched your videos for a couple of years I just don't remember what worked and what didn't. Have a great day!
Ysl all hours is my new love. They just reformulated it. I haven’t tried the new one but if it’s anything like the old one or even improved highly recommend
Thank you for reviewing this foundation for us. Don’t listen to the neigh sayers. I love watching your makeup videos. Your honest and have skin that most of us have. Meaning not perfect, thank you!
I agree, it just looks like it’s sitting on your skin and hasn’t actually set. It does look to have a gorgeous satin finish! Thanks for doing reviews for us oily peeps
Maybe since a big issue with this is the way it transfers so easily, a gripping primer might help more than a matte one? Either way, looks like a pass.
"Good evening" Cassie!! Thank you so much for the honest review! Sorry the product didn't quite live up to the excitement. 😌 Looking forward to the next one!
Okay, well, I'm older and don't have oily skin, nor do I put foundation everywhere, just mainly on my cheeks where I have some broken capillaries from rosacea. I did put it on once and ironically felt like Shade 1 which Sephora calls "Cool Rosy" which is right up my alley, girl, well, it made me look kinda ghost like? But perhaps that was the powder. Maybe I'll use it with a better powder. Though not much of a powder lady, really. I did pick up a Huda Beauty Bake powder and that Givenchy Prisme Libra in 17 (think green/blue), so maybe those will bring me back to the living.
I noticed once Cassie applied the powder it not only took some of the glow away it also lightened the foundation shade. You'd think he'd make the powder compliment the foundation but not so with this one... 🤷♀️
Do you ever use the oil removing pads? The blue ones? I always got the store brand. Obviously, this foundation is a big thumbs down, but for others that look beautiful & your oils come through as the day wears on, those pads are a lifesaver. When I was younger & oilier they were a staple in my purse.
I have dry skin and I returned it. I didn’t like the feeling of it, for me it felt too greasy and heavy. His eyeshadows and blushes though are amazing!
I'm so happy you reviewed this! I was waiting for rec to see if I should buy this. Honestly. I think I'm gonna pass. I feel like I won't love the texture and feeling on my face. Thank you for the review!
I didn't plan to purchase this regardless of the outcome (sticking with my W&W tinted hydrator because it just works, lol) but I do enjoy your foundation reviews so I had to watch. I could totally see what you experienced. It just never became one with the skin. And that powder. Omgee. Not only did it take some of the glow away it also lightened the foundation in a bad way. The cracking also happened on your forehead. I've seen much cheaper foundations or skin tints look far better on your skin. Great honest review Cassie... 👏
$52.00… 😱… too bad I have to buy gas and food. 😞. Gas is pushing almost $7 a gallon in CA! I love your videos don’t get me wrong, but many people are struggling.. it’s just hard for average people to survive! Sorry for being a Debbie Downer guys..
I don't know how y'all put up with that crap. Where I live in the US it is around 3ish bucks a gallon which is still outrageous! Just pouring money down the drain. 7 bucks?! Um no!
Can't wait to see what you think, since I also just picked this product up in a recent Sephora order. Reserving judgement on it for now. Want to see what you think!
@@sevyncalhoun2766 She and I bought the same color. Wanted to see how it looked on her. At first it (foundation with powder) made me look like a ghost, but I AM Fitzpatrick 1 with an icy cold undertone. Later on, I thought it looked pretty good. Would have looked better with finishing spray.
Mine turned up cracked (powder and the plastic cover) so I didn't even get to try it. (I could see the product packaging itself looked maybe like it was dropped prior to even being put in the outer Sephora box 🤨. Then the customer after care by Sephora Australia was negative zero. I'm disappointed and appalled by whole experience. Hence to say I took it to the Store (many miles away for refund). Will not be attempting to repurchase. Maybe it's for the best after watching reviews similar to yours ($86 saved). Love, Jo from Oz 🦘
It was looking and sounding so good until you said it felt creamy all day. I’m totally with you. Too bad.. Thank you for the work though.youre awesome 💕💗
The product description said that it was suitable for oily skin, hence why she got excited about that part. You clearly didn’t watch the full video, but still decided to get slick but you’re really the one that looks stupid. Oh and btw it might be the same kind of content, but it’s different foundations, hauls, and things going on in her live streams… all UA-camrs have specialties. Some are beauty gurus, some are lifestyle, some are fashion. What are you doing with your life?
Cassie be careful with ringworm! You can also get it from cats, if it comes into contact with broken skin/open pimples, etc. touching of the face and so on. That being said, hard pass on this one, esp at the 50 price tag-I can't fathom spending anything over 15 for a foundation anymore. 🥲
I’m anxious. I’m 60, oily, and was still having breakouts until I started using ‘The Ordinary’s’ serum. Right? Spent hundreds and a $4.99 product is my holy grail……. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 Hi Cassie , Hot Stuff & Fur Fam. 🌸♥️🌸♥️🌸♥️
you're the only person I trust for foundation reviews
I could have bet it was not going to work for your skin, anything that says dewy and/or luminous…probably a skip for oily skin.

That's my favorite foundation. I wear it daily every winter.
Wish it was cruelty free 😞

Omg I was literally just like man wish Cassie had a review on this LOL 😊
It seems like the powder is just a finishing power as Nikia says and not a setting powder
Thank you for your honesty. I have oily skin so it would definitely slide off. 😁
I have super dry skin at 53 years old. This might work for me.
Could you do a review on the Linda Hallberg cosmetics matte primer? Heard it's supposed to be amazing for oily skin 🥰
Yeah guys Cover Girl Aqua Smooth is sooooooo much better this foundation and way cheaper. I also would pass on the blushes which were super blotchy.

It looks very nice on you!! I think the second lightest shade fair 2 ( I don’t remember the exact shade name lol) will suits you better! Xoxo ❤
I thought it was dark on her too and she’s my shade match. Fair 2 is the one I picked so I think I picked correctly.
52 dollars for foundation? Yeah, no! But love your videos Cassie!
Dangit, hoping it was a dupe for the Clinique City Base Foundation that they no longer make.
