I choked up in this video. What a life, what a life they live! We often forget to appreciate the beauty of little things.
I visited Romania about 6 years ago where my English relative moved about 20yrs ago for a job and never moved back. It was beautiful, inexpensive to tour and stay and a lovely old fashioned feel about everywhere. It was weird you could be travelling through a suburb with a hay cart behind you and yet still have better phone signal than at home in some cases ! The juxtaposition of new investment in tech hidden amongst the sunflowers:) Poland has a similar feel in places and is a huge country , my ex girlfriends family heated home with a 1950s coke boiler and cooked little pancakes etc etc it’s like going back in time but with some modern conveniences to cushion the sensitive modern travelling palate :)
A horse drawn milk wagon. A cold spring. A garden that supplies all your vegetables. No reality tv. No video games. I love it!. That is life as it should be lived. Rewarding. Worthwhile. So many here in the US have no idea what is important in life. These people do. I have great respect for them and their way of life.
You are correct, well said
@Tracchofyre An this it's wrong, in your opinion ?
This is Romania, not many small farmers would get those funds.
@Tracchofyre Bro, to get EU funds you need to appply for them and have a project behind. These people never apply for this. They live like this for hundreds of years. I was born in a area like this. Everything on my table when I was a child was from our gardens. EU was a dream at that point. Almost 2 millions people in Romania live like this. They understood how the life should be or they didnt have the chance to change their enviroment. I'm telling you, you don't know how the situation is. Listening to media doensn't make you having the required knowledge about this kind of place. You need to see it. To understand it, feel it. Feel the people from this areas and after that you would know that you have no idea how life is in romanian villages. It's all about nature and animals and how to find a better way to cherish them. Find that and you ll be happy for the rest of your life.
@Tracchofyre Oh hi there! Let me tell you about the weather. It's perfect! 4 seasons and we rarely had bad storms. Sometimes there would be hailing but not enough to destroy everything. On the other hand, I do agree with you that nowadays the weather patterns changed a lot so there are more disasters happening everywhere. But it wasn't always like this. And please stop mentioning EU. Romania joined EU in 2007. Are you saying that people couldn't live a good life before EU? Haha! Let me tell you something: Romania would be MUCH better off without EU! Go ask the people there and they will tell you how much they hate EU. And if you really wanna talk about Romania, educate yourself on the subject so you don't embarrass yourself. Did you know that Romania used to be called the "bread basket of Europe", has a nuclear power plant (building started during the communist era), made their own cars, 4x4 vehicles, vans, trucks, agricultural machinery, fighter jets, helicopters, guns and ammo, electronics, clothing, shoes, cosmetics, steel, fertilizer, furniture and so on. Tell me how much is being made in the EU today? How long would EU survive without Russia and China? Think about it!
Last vlog from Romania, and by far you have saved the best till last. Romania 🇷🇴 is simply stunning.
You just melted my heart! From UK seeing you visiting my country and presenting in such a beautiful way is just amazing! Thank you very much! 😍🇷🇴🇺🇸
la fel 🤗
Your country is beautiful like you.
Romania is a hidden gem! It will definitely be added to my list
so , have you been there lately
Wow ...the scenery, the people, the perspective- living mainly without the need of money. Learned something new. Beautiful Romania. Wonderful shots.
Romania is a magical place.
Very beautiful Romania 🥰
Spoilt people in the West judge happiness by the type of phone you have. These people are really happy.
Us romanians happy? Are you kidding me? We have to live over 1 thousand a week! You don't understand the price in our country! In Romania you can't live unless you are at la țara.
Only on the country side here in the city its just shitty as anywhere else :[ the countryside is beautiful though
09:30 Those are Porcini mushrooms. They are quite expensive(around 20euro/kilo), and very appreciated everywhere on Europe.
I can lived there forever. So nice and peaceful.
Yeap, rural Romania is excellent. Consider it for retiring.
your videos from Romania are Gold.
I can't understand how Livio don't live anymore in such beautiful and wonderful place. Loved this video.
I want to live there with them all my life, I really don't need money, I can live like them. It will be so amazing to stay away from the outer world.
The most beautiful feeling in this world is living away from all these artificial things
That garden is the pure heaven.
Wow Romania is extremely gorgeous. I love the scenery of the countryside there. So green, so quiet and so beautiful there. Definitely will be top in my bucket list. Thank you so much for taking us along.
Before going to our country, keep in mind the prices are big. You have to live over 10k thousand. you are warned.
Hey! Im from Romania ( Ploiești ) and I enjoyed enormously how well you showed in your videos how beautiful and unique Romania is. Transylvania is a wonderful place especially for rural areas and I hope that in the near future will discover other extraordinary areas (go to Maramures and Bucovina in winter). I really like your videos, go on with them. You're my favorite travel vlogger.🌻 💜
Thank you so much! Romania is gorgeous. I will definitely be back soon.
The cities are also beautiful now, most of them were well renovated.
Oradea, Cluj, Sibiu are only few cases.
never thought livio is a real european cowboy.. that is an awesome place to live.
Thank you for being so respectful and showing the world what a beautiful country Romania is. So much focus on the negative aspects of life and people forget what truly matters. From a Romanian here: multumesc!
Reminds me how we as our family would live in the open ranges of Texas, before we joined the army, 10 years ago..
Wow this place is a fairytale from another time
How absolutely beautiful!! Straight out of a story book. They are truly blessed.
Too bad few Romanians realize how blessed we truly are.
the traditional outfit was the icing on the cake lol
This is one of the most beautiful vlogs that I have ever seen!
Thanks so much!
One beat at a time :-)
I agree with that
many ppl say Romania is a bad country full if thieves and sh..its actually just peacefull and beautifull if u visit the right places
I love this video. The music the scenery all together. the place is so calm and peaceful i can almost smell the fresh air. Beautiful just wow. Thank you for sharing 😊
Sceneries are indeed magnificent... but for me the best part of vlog was.. when you explained that how rich these locals are in terms of health and happiness.
SHA The dress she was wearing might be 100 years old and worth 5000 $ . It is 100% hand made from natural fibers that they grew themselves !!!
ioan pena yes dear and on top of that, that dress is beautiful.
ioan pena Yes, you are right - the clothes that we wore are very old and have been in their family for a very long time. They are all completely handmade, perhaps by Liviu's great aunt or great-great aunt. So amazing!
Keep in mind, health in romania is not as true as u think. Heard of margarine? Its a bad fat. U get it here. it caused many deaths also. Hapiness? here at kindergartens you get abused! My little bro got abused so much he could not sleep at night! Even schools, its like 1 percent that you will find a good school.
@@Travellight21 True yes! my very great grandma used to handmake these clothing :)
WOW Jordan wow I fell in love with this video. This is by far my most favorite of all your content! I love that traditional dress you wore! Looks good on you and Liv! It's just so amazing. Laid back life no stress from a busy city. People not fully dependent money. A very simple yet satisfiying life for me. I really love to visit Liv's childhood place someday!
I'm glad that you enjoyed the video! It was definitely a very special experience.
What a beautiful place!! Just amazing!! Also, loved the traditional clothes!! ❤️
Hi dear
Romania is epic, I went there last year and really loved it.
Beautiful & natural life. Love from China to Romania.
beautiful place and nice people. I now remember my childhood in my hometown. Greetings from Brazil
Anselmo Coelho um brasileiro eiiiiii
This the best video ever. It has a soul. Thank you 🙏
Wow amazing video! I grew up in Hungary in a very similar way. Now I live in LA and I dont really know if Im happy here.
Wow this took me down the memory lane. How I miss Romania! Thank you for sharing your travels with us. Spectacular views and wonderful stories.
Oh what a beautiful video that valley looks fantastic and Livio's relatives seem to like you very much. The pair of you look great and so relaxed and you in the national style dress looked fabulous bet you are so sad to leave thanks for taking us into your private world stay safe and see ya
I feel so jealous for these people, they have everything. What a beautiful place, never trading with city life.
Actually this is a paradise on earth. Natural things are amazing. I want to live my whole life @ there
ßαßα_ 42o you can live forever on this beautiful planet visit jw.org for more information.
It's a lot of hard work. I couldn't do it.
You should move to Romania
What a beautiful video! Happiness and wealth can be relative, indeed.
Life can be simple and yet rich!
I am watching over and over again!
Romanian village is so beautiful, clean, and green.
Hell no. Im romanian and when you see the reality of our country you will understand. May look pretty but is toxic.
@@jiminsjams6495 It is not toxic what the fuck? People there are so generous and nice ! The view looks like a fairytale !
@@jiminsjams6495 Un roman tipic care doar stie sa arunce cu cacat in tara lui. Bravo ma !
@@lordfrost3752 Chiar mi e frica sa fiu un roman. Eu nu arunc "cacat". Eu zic adevarul despre tara asta si uni nesimtiti (Nu toti, ca uni is gospodari.) care traieste in tara asta.
Scuza-mi grammara, ca eu rar vorbesc in romana.
@@noricx6037 View looks like a fairytale, but have you seen the reality? Hun, there are cities. Romania is a country itself. but that doesn't mean it's not separated into cities does it??
woow. Beautiful countryside, deep culture plus the traditional outfits really added to the taste of this video. Awesome.
What a beautiful country life
nice county, and I think you choose the right music:)
This is very nice and very important to preserve the nature . The people in Romania knows how to combine all this to live in harmony , which in the western world all this was destroyed by the corporate businesses for their own gain and wealth. By living a simple Life that's actually happiness.
I wanna live here so bad... this is like the perfect place for healthy living
Nope. I warn you that the schools are abusive and so are kindergartens. Prices are way too high and if you are very rich then you can live here well at the city. I mean my great grandpa was smart.. when there was no food in the times (very old times) He literally had everything
zacusca..
Bulion
Carne de pui
etc..
I looove your videos about Romania! It's so beautiful and peaceful! Thank you
Ah, the butterfly next to Jordan as she is dancing around in slow motion in her traditional Romanian dress!
pure land. I really love this.
Im from such a hills place myself (plateau), never really could get used to flat city areas, looking at flat horizon I always feel something missing. Nice video :).
This place is so unreal.. nice place... both are looking very nice in those traditional clothes. Thanks for making this video.
Looking forward for your videos on India from your eyes and camera lens.
Fantastic video! Idilic pastures, lovely valley, warm family. Thanks for sharing Jordan!
What a beautiful and peaceful village! Thank you so much for sharing all these beautiful places for us.
This video touched me so much because I also grew up in a countryside.
Thank you so much for featuring my music 🙏
Thank you for the song! Your music is beautiful.

Magnificent view of Romania
I love the music and the Romanian dress!
Both of you look good in those traditional romanian clothes.
So beautiful!! I wish to live in such place😍
OMG, you did it once again!!! The greenery, the song, the simple life, the peacefulness. .... I soooo love this one Jordan. WOW Brings back memories of my family's heritage back in a small farm outside Silao, Guanajato, México. My late uncle had a tiny store just like the one you filmed. I think the song made it all too surreal. Awesome vblog!!!!!
Thank you so much!
No thank you. ..

Thank you for sharing..I would not want to leave great music ackground..love your work...
such a tranquil and peaceful place, love this feeling so much...
Reminds me a lot of the country side mountain areas of Puerto Rico where I have been living for the past 2 years. So funny about yelling to get the neighbors attention to talk because we still do that here on the island and everybody has internet and wifi now.
i just happened to find you guys and you really made me cry, honestly, I've been living for 7 years in England and seeing this video it reminded me how HEAVEN looks like, thank you very much, ❤❤
I will be in Romania in 6 weeks, I hope to meet a pretty Romanian maiden like you.. You looked amazing in the traditional clothing.
Great videos , keep up the good work
Life in the village is very beautiful and as a man of art and a future architect, I do my best to combine natural life with technology.
I also live in Transylvania and the villages are very beautiful also richer and better with every passing year, the biggest problem there(as I understood from some friends) are the closed-minded people, alot of them are way too religious and locked on some old ideas that can make your life harder if you live there.
You look so beautiful in Romanian 🇷🇴 traditional clothes!. Hope you visit again ❤️
you can feel the piece in this video.. the song and the video i love it. hope i can go in this kind of place
Those animals are very well taken care of
This is one of your most interesting and beautiful videos, and you look absolutely lovely and beautiful in that traditional Romanian dress.
What a peaceful place. ❤️
All that greenery was so soothing and beautiful. The Romanian series has been amazing.
The best , watching this it gave me goosebumps
My husband was in Romania in 2012......he said it was incredibly beautiful!! He was in Gheorgheni.....:-))
LOL :) I am from Gheorgheni :) its amazing he does liked it 😊
Very beautiful country ❤😍😍
REAL Life
It is
It seems like life. That's what we miss in today's world. I would love to spend rest of my life there😍
You promised lovely drone shots and cows...we saw both and much more! :D
Another gem of a video!...
Recently I keep thinking what kind of life I expect after retirement. And this is it!
Great video, Jordan!!! That's really cool you were able to see where Livio grew up. We're going to Romania in 4 days. We plan to rent a car and travel throughout the country for about a week!
That's awesome! I truly think that having a car is the best way to see Romania. Be sure to visit Transfagarasan and Hunedoara Castle, if you can!
Careful driving tho ...
always love your videos, thank you for letting me see totally different side of ramania.really appreciate it
A great video for us all, let us not forget the old ways - to grow what you need to eat, stitch what you need to wear & walk where you need to go.
I am Romanian and I live in the village, when I was a child I had two cows, 2 pigs, 15-20 ducks, 15-20 chickens, a dog, pigeons, rabbits..... during that time we bought very few things from the market (not there were supermarkets), now about 40% - 50% of the products we buy from the market, the rest come from the garden, for me this video is too little interesting because I see daily this life that some are trying to put on UA-cam 😊.... I still live in the village and in the morning I wake up to roosters 😁
Wow beautiful dress
Reminds me of my late hubby taking me to his family's land and villa in Sicily though born and raised in Milan. Thanks for this wonderful beautiful lovely video. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
SO cool they sell the milk like the way they did in past
They are not getting any EU funding, zero. Austria might be, romania isn't...
Romania gets EU funding, alot of cities look great now and a part of the money were from EU.
The problem is that it's not enough money from the EU and it's not the Union's fault, it's the government's fault that is corrupt.
I'm glad for Liv being so super
Among the entire Travellight videos I love this one the most. What a beautiful place it is! Wow!!! Thank you guys for giving me such a beautiful video. Watching the video I felt like I was somewhere in a village of Romenia. So beautiful.....Thank you, once again.
Wow, wow WOW. THIS PLACE IS A GEM. I do want to travel to Romania and I will because it is so beautiful
Mulberries ! Thanks for showing them! Walking down from Xaghra to M'Forn (right at the sea) there are some muleberries trees and also next to Ggantija there is a tree. I like them most, when they are not black but still slightly red, as I find the black ones too sweet. Beware of your clothes when you eat them: your hands may turn red of them ....
Where exactly are you? Im also in the countryside with my romanian gf. Its beautiful.
beautiful place..
Jordan what you captured make me think, a person can live without social media...your red scarf on black t-shirt really good choice... please retain your local Romanian 👗 Jordan
This makes me want to move to Romania!
dont forget this country was in communism almost 50 years... of this country ( in 2018 romania hit first 100 years )
You should move to Romania !
this is indeed great video. beautiful country and beatiful couple. I wish I could visit this place and stay for couple weeks....

AND THE OTHER ROMANIANS TOO...👍😉

What a beautiful video! Such a way of life they have there. You have to wonder if we have it all wrong
@Tracchofyre They produce the food for their animals themselves. There's virtually unlimited supply of grass on that land (as you can see from the video). The tools are cheap and they last forever because they are simple tools. Med bills...nonexistent! Health care is pretty much free there. they use wood for heating. They don't use much electricity. Lighting and maybe a tv and basic appliances so they don't have to pay too much for it. People living in the countryside, elders, veterans etc get huge discounts on everything (especially on utilities). Also, they make money. Usually even more than a middle class working Romanian from the city. I grew up like that and I can confirm that everything you see in this video is 100% truth. I remember when my grandparents were coming from the fair, where they would sell animals and produce, they would let me play with the stacks of money they made and it was quite a lot. They bought houses/apartments and cars for each of their children who were living in the city (my mom and her sisters). My mom even bought a business with money from my grandparents. That makes you wonder if life in the city is worth it if you don't make too much money. But to each their own I guess...
@Tracchofyre You are dead wrong! I don't know about Croatia or Austria but I was born and raised in Romania and everything I told you is true. And you cannot convince me that pitchforks, rakes, scythes, sickles etc are expensive tools! I worked the land using these tools a lot and I know exactly what I'm talking about. We didn't have electricity at my grandparents house until I was probably 10 yrs old. They got hooked to the natural gas network a few years after and it was only used for a small stove, for cooking. The small store in the center of the village where i would occasionally buy milky hard candy (my favorite still :)) , the milk being collected by the guy with cart pulled by horses, the trips to the fair over the hills in a cart pulled by cows, watching over the cows, pigs and ship when they would give birth at 4 AM, the endless fields, the fruit trees all over the place, those tomatoes Liviu is talking about in the video etc. All these are part of my childhood, they are my best memories. I could talk for days about stuff like this and you can choose to believe me or not. But if you ever travel to Romania, you'll discover that many places are exactly like in this video and how I told you.
By the way, I'm well over 30.
@Tracchofyre Whatever you say bud...
@Tracchofyre I'm starting to believe that you are just a very uneducated individual. Yes, I'm telling you all this is possible, it's been happening for ages and it's still happening. What I told you happened during the communist regime (and after too). There was no EU and no monetary help from anybody outside Romania. People were happier, healthier and much stronger than the soy boys you see everywhere today. Yes happier, even living under that terrible communist regime! Don't ask me why, that's a different subject. All my grandparents got to live till they were in their late eighties. War veterans and country people that worked the land their entire lives. They never owned a single motorized vehicle! There were maybe 2-3 people in the area who had tractors so they would plough everyone's land. Everything else was done by hand and with cattle.
Please stop saying it's not true because I lived all that and you didn't. I've been living in the US for many years now, but I know where I came from!
@Tracchofyre I enjoy life in the USA (not very industrialized since I live in a rural area) because of the shit life I've had AFTER they killed Ceausescu! And because I was educated DURING the Ceausescu regime and I had the opportunity to use that in the US, not in Romania under EU. I never said working the land without machinery was easy, I said it was being done before and people were living off their hard work. We sold the crops to the factories. Or straight up trade it. Beets for sugar, sunflower seeds for oil,. Soy, corn, wheat was sold. We'd make our own flour at the village mill. We had our own fruits, vegetables, nuts, honey, milk, cheese, eggs, meat and meat products, wine and moonshine etc. Water form the well (every house has one) or from the many natural springs in the area. What else do you need? Cheese puffs? Candy? Ice cream? No, we didn't need those but we'd get them every now and then from that little store...
[Edit]
I had to add the fact that we even grew our own tobacco. We would sell it of course; nobody can smoke 1 ton of tobacco lol.
Life goes on no matter where you are. The video was beautiful!
