I wish Home Free would do more classic rock. They always kill it. Tim with his bass hand and Adam....OMG. They definitely have the percussion covered. And Austin's lead and Chance and Rob filling in. Who needs freaking instruments....They are the Music!!!!
This is the 23rd time I've listened to this and I'm still amazed, dancing, singing and clapping. Home Free killing it. I hope they do more, Doobies & 70's music. I'm bobbing my head and smiling with you Dave!
The guys were so good with this song and they really wanted us to let the music play. Adam is an amazing percussionist...the sounds he makes really perks you up and makes it fun.. Tim of course brings the bass, so good. Austin amazing singer...perfect for this song. Rob and Chance really picking it up. Thank you.
They all did a fantastic job BUT Adam killed it on the percussion. Every song we can't think he or they can't get better or do something different they do. I love the Doobie Brothers and they did this justice by keeping it the same but at the same time upgrading it 😍😍
I grew up on classic rock & am a big fan of the Doobie Brothers & had their albums. "Listen To The Music" was a big hit for them back in 1972. Love that Home Free is keeping this great music alive & introducing it to the younger generation. The guys did a really nice job of this song. Austin was great for the lead & loved the background harmonies of Rob, Chance & Tim's bass. Adam killed it on the vocal percussion again. He always comes up with some new & interesting sounds.
Home Free always gets the right vibe for each song! They aren't always in it for the shock factor in their highest notes or dramatic bass drops just because they can do them! We all know they can do them, and we love hearing those extreme tones, but only if it fits the overall sound of the music. Great reaction as always! I definitely was chair dancing and head bopping with you. It's impossible for me to sit still with this one! ❤
I loved this cover and hope that HomeFree will continue with more of Doobie Brothers like "China Grove or my favorite "Black Water". They really do the 70s music such a wonderful blast from the past. Austin really shines in this as well as Mr. Rupp who is on fire 🔥. Thanks for your reaction and great commentary. 👍 🥰
Without a doubt this is one of Adam's best performances yet, and he is in my opinion the GOAT at what he does. He simply just keeps getting better. Then you have Tim laying the bass line down. That is what makes Home Free special, their chemistry together, alone each is damn good, but together, yeah its next level.
Dave, I always love your reactions, and this time, I have a comment before you're even done. Damn, but I love your smile. It conveys your joy in the music so immediately and effectively. All for now, more later.
Such a great upbeat song! Adam was fun to watch too!! 😆 Lots of Do dooo...Do Doo Do's, they shoulda put some Do DooBIE Do's in there as a shout-out to the Doobie Bros! 😂
This cover right here is top notch! Home Free is Country A Capella, but this one right here rocked!!! I didn’t get any country vibe at all, which is totally fine with me! Rock, especially Classic Rock is my first love of music and has a special place in my heart! Home Free brought it here!! I would love for them to cover some Journey (not just a snippet, either). Great reaction, Dave! Adam definitely killed it on percussion! Love the reverb on the drum part!
With Journey, I'd probably be looking at Chris's schedule to see if he could come join them for When You Love a Woman or Girl Can't Help It. They rarely get anyone covering them, but they're so pretty. :) and the piano parts not that hard, so he shouldn't need too many practices with them.
They killed this but I knew they would. I still say and this is just my opinion not taking anything away from any other group. But I think with all them can beat box and all that they do is unbelievable.
First Lead - Austin Brown Second - Rob Lundquist (Glasses & Best Beard) Bass - Tim Foust (Gray in Hair) Baritone - Adam "Chance" (Beard and Backwards Hat) Beatboxer - Adam Rupp Tim (5 Octave Range) and Chance (4 Octave Range) will really mess with you because they can take on so many different roles depending on the song. I know it's tough when you react to the number of artists you do.
Why is that (Listen To The Music) worth pointing out - sorry, I just don't understand?! 🤔 They are not singing 'Listen to the instruments' after all - I'm confused...
@@Ingrid_Haendel Generally, music is made with instruments. An A Cappella Group is singing Listen to the Music. That is a Contradiction, when said by an a cappella band. 2+2 Ingrid. That is why I said it. Are you getting it yet. Wow.
@@donnilloyd1355 it isn't a contradiction at all, that's why I didn't see what you were getting at. Just look up the definition of music then you would see what I was so confused about, no need to be so condescending Definition of music '1a: vocal, instrumental, or mechanical sounds having rhythm, melody, or harmony' 'a pattern of sounds made by musical instruments,, voices or computers'
@@Ingrid_Haendel I said in my first reply, GENERALLY, music is made with instruments. You are looking at the definition and not the usage of the words. Generally, music is made with instruments. @@donnilloyd1355 Okay gotta jump in here... "But how often is A Cappella making or creating music. Not very often."... what? Quite honestly I think you are using a VASTLY different definition of music from most people. Who the heck doesn't consider choir, or A Capella, or just kids sitting around singing together music? It is absolutely music, and I'm pretty sure the vast majority of people consider singing to be a form of music. Both by the definition AND the usage. And I'm pretty sure you sounding condescending ("Are you getting it yet. Wow" and such) is the more annoying thing, especially when you're just... wrong.
I don’t get off at all. I made a mistake and owned it in the video. And as you can tell in the video, I gave Adam plenty props haha. The percussion owned this video!
I wish Home Free would do more classic rock. They always kill it.
Tim with his bass hand and Adam....OMG. They definitely have the percussion covered. And Austin's lead and Chance and Rob filling in. Who needs freaking instruments....They are the Music!!!!
This song has just been sitting around for decades..waiting for Home Free to cover it with style and spunk!!:))
I have to agree. The percussion was so important and added so much. Adam is a force of nature
Let the music play! Home Free is just the best❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
What a feel good song...makes you wanna move!! Loved it...great reaction!!❤
You could be having the worst day of your life, turn on Home Free and a smile will come on your face…they are a blessing!
Dave this is THE BOMB !!! A total jam....this harkens me back to my days at West Miami Jr High and 9th grade at about 1974/75 time
Yes!!! My new favorite! FIRE!❤️❤️🍟🤯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I couldn't agree more Stacey, the guys in Home Free are masters at not bastardizing a song and still putting their own stamp on it.
Let's Go Blues. I agree with you, there isn't a song Home Free has done that they haven't don't the song justice.

Music is the universal language, and the Doobie Brothers perfectly described how it unites us when it plays in this song.
Adam rocked on this one. I remember dancing to this song in my younger years. I sure get a kick out of you rocking out to this song 🎵
Kudos to all the guys but WHOA Adam!!!!! Adam is blowing me away HOME FREE did a great job of moderizing this DOOBIE BROTHERS classic song.
The Doobie Brothers had two drummers. Adam did a phenomenal job and then some!
Great reaction, Dave.
I agree with you. I love Home Free.
I agree Dave…Adam stole this one. He was a beast! Loved Austin and Tim too. This is a great rendition. Good reaction Dave!🥰
Harm-a-good-a-me's....LOVE it!!
you can't sit still and listen to this song. They did an amazing job.
One of my favorites!!
Adam Rupp is a stud. He freakin killed it with his out of this world percussion.
Thank you for a really good, in-depth reaction.

Dave, Wait til you hear Home Free's version of Randy Travis' song, "Forever and Ever, Amen"!!!
I wanted to tell you all about ADAM RUPP’s percussion during the live stream but I didn’t wanna spoil it 😁
Notice that Adam is doing that high note?
Watch him at the end.

How could you possibly confuse Voice Play with Home Free. These guys have no equal
I didn’t confuse the whole group, just Rupp. Won’t happen again.
Voice Play is good in their own right....but I love Home Free.
Not sure where you get off calling Adan Ripp Layne from Voiceplay, Two totally different beat boxers, man. Give Adam his props.
