I regularly fish all the harbors from San Pedro to Dana Point and I occasionally go even further. If you check out my other videos, you'll see that I have "tips and tricks" for all the places I fish and I even recommend specific areas in many of them. As for secret spots... bays and harbors don't have any. Every place that you can get a line into gets fished regularly (probably by me!) Every place is there for everyone to see and if a place looks good to you, it's going to look good to every fisherman that comes by and they'll give it a shot. It doesn't really matter because the fish are everywhere and constantly on the move and just because a place was hot one one day doesn't mean it will be hot tomorrow. Sure, some places will be better than others, but you won't know which one is hitting that day until you try. Personally, I try them all. I fish the structure, and I fish the open channels. I try cast and retrieve, and I try trolling. If I'm not getting hit, I change colors. The main thing is I get out there, I try everything, and I pay attention to what's working and what isn't. Honestly, all the local harbors are pretty much the same. It's not the place you go, it's the skills you bring.
I love the video! I'm going to dana tomorrow... Any advise for bait at this time of year? Should I try the live bait from the barge? As you can tell I'm new to the tube. thanks
I have a video for Dana - ua-cam.com/video/Sq_6DpsU98U/v-deo.html I always use artificial baits because I can't be bothered with live bait. My favorite is Hookup Baits and I've used them to catch lots of fish at the bait barge. In other words, fish that are actively feeding on live bait will also hit the Hookup Baits.
Nice! I like that underwater footage! And i love that tube!!! That's a Cadillac compared to the old Caddis Nevada i had back in the day! LOL!! Liked and subscribed! hit me back when you get a chance! Good luck man!
Why is that the number one question all the time? 👇👇👇 😒 If it ain't in the description then, I'd just respect the fact that he might like fishing there and just maybe it still holds fish and doesn't want to see you, your 6 buddies you go tell, then all the 6 other peeps they tell, not to mention all straggler spot lurkers there fishing the living hell out it day i and day out... Guess they never heard the term "secret fishing hole" (now known as another fished out spot)... And on that note.... Go ahead and fire/flame me
It's a natural question. There's that old saying, "If you want to catch fish, you have to go where the fish are" so I'm not offended when people ask. But it's also a newbie question, so I try to gently educate. Work on your skills and you'll catch fish wherever you go.
Hi I love your videos! I have been looking at the Cumberland float tube! I’m a big man and bass fish in ponds! What is your opinion on this? Thank you 🎣
Thanks for the kind words! You will do fine with a Cumberland. Lots of the guys I fish with have Cumberland tubes and they like them a lot. If you're getting into tubing, you should check out the Float Tube Fishing Forum - lots of helpful experienced tubers. floattubeforum.do-talk.com/forum
