@@SB_Outdoorzdo you live in town or have some acerage in the country if the latter build a track it's like field of dreams if you build it they will come I got contracted for the dirt work for a few 3/8 mile track the key to a hard smooth packing fast drying track is mix 3 ton of chicken farm barn cleanings to every ton of clay/dirt at least that seems to be the Midwest trick I always thought they were joking when I was a kid and at the Bellville high banks in Bellville Kansas when we'd take our vacation to go to the Bellville midget nationals they'd call it a chicken sh@t track because I thought it took guts to run there through the "steepest banks on a dirt track" was their claim but by the end of heat races the track would gain speed and the winged midgets could slide 5 wide to this day when I visit it's more impressive than professional drifting to me I haven't been since they had to land a medevac while they cut my daughter's friend out of the car
I borrowed the tracks tractor once because packing the track the engine started knocking so we pulled the engine from my truck put it in the car took 3rd and as we were swapping it back into the truck someone asked what our plan to get home was if I'd blown the truck engine during the race we all looked at each other shrugged and said see how close the knocker would've got before it installed windows or spent the night hit the speed shop in the morning and rebuilt an engine in the parkinglot or bought an upgrade a very built balanced and blueprinted "454" for the old 76 Chevy K30 "Bicentennial special" was her name I pulled the car with a friend of mine airbrushed the flag flapping in the wind on the truck and the preamble on the tailgate she got the big block when I started pulling derby cars on a 42 ft gooseneck around the lower 47

Looked like a fine line from top to bottom groove and someone was in your way in the middle blahhhh too long and yes I smirked when they jumped the cushion. Nothing broke, nobody ran outta talent around you yeah definately a goood opening run.
Ours isn't bad being aluminum 2 guys can lift and latch it without the winch the trailer wasn't quite a year old and the big name winch I won't name on here worn out the power distribution box is what worn out and they wouldn't warranty it (the trailer manufacturer would've but the company of the worn out winch wouldn't) so I figured I could by several harbor freight specials for the cost of the winch brain box that worn out on the nameless name brand winch and being a name brand winch I sold it on fakebook marketplace for enough for a small winch in the trailer and a 12k badlands winch with synthetic line eventually all the trailer winches got replaced and sold before they worn out on us I'll buy front hub lockouts for my 4x4s because I've never had 1 worn out (I've blown them to pieces taking my full size truck up a buggy line and got her hopping on the rocks but never worn out) to me their lockouts are the best in the business but nothing but Badlands winches for me and my family's personal and company vehicles I wish I could get a discount for telling people that

Last year Onyx was his worst critic I hope he gets over being so hard on himself he's got to remember he's still young and racing some people with more seat time than he has time alive once the butterflies leave he'll start getting trophies there's no doubt in my mind he can read dad's car from the stands and tell him what it was doing he'll learn to read his by sound and feel soon
I'm not a racer and am speaking as a very ignorant person on this subject but I noticed a fair amount of sparks seeming to be from the Right Rear suspension or hub area when you would load it in the corners and I didn't notice it on other cars.. Is that normal? Very entertaining and enjoyed the video and looking forward to Onyx this season, thank you for bring us along for the ride.
You guys need a steering buddy so you can load the trailer easier by remotely steering the car into the trailer. Can’t wait to see Oynx run this season
The car seemed to have the perfect set-up except you seemed to actually have a bit too much traction if you know what I mean. It seemed a little boggy coming off the turns yet revving out great down the straights.

For someone sporting the name loveliest you sure don't show much love and seem to live in darkness Mark Martin drove the highest level of nascar and was paid well for more than 25 years look up how many wins he had and his average finish position over his career racing is as much luck as talent did you get the right gear and tire combo for track conditions you won't know till the green drops in the race will someone run you up or down the track so you have to lift or lose more speed braking allowing people to get around you years in the seat don't equal more wins and I think you missed the biggest factor in racing this is a hobby not a career so anytime hanging with family and friends doing something enjoyable having fun making memories is a win everytime no matter what place the car comes in I apologize if you had to run to your safespace maybe by next year everyone that pulls on the track can make a parade lap and get a participation trophy and load up to go home and you can be happy seeing him get a trophy every track he goes to would that make 25 years worth it

I grew up going to races around Minnesota. My favorite dirt track racer when I was younger was Scott Hill. I cant believe I remember him😅

Nice trailer. The top mounted winch to raise/lower the door is interesting. I hope the winch doesn't break! That door looks heavy.

I think what you're hearing is my foot getting into the pedal slowly to not break traction. These cars always have more power than traction
