I don’t know why but my première 23 makes everything yellow, let me add effects without red lining. But 2024 sucks so badly, everything makes the timeline goes red… this is the issue, render timeline is meant not to be nescessary
Many thanks that helped immediately🎉
You're welcome! Glad we can help!
and whenever you wanna add an effect you get it back and you can't even see what does the effect do . love Final Cut Pro .
Whenever I use this process and render in to out, it takes over 40 minutes to render two short clips. I'm using an M3 Max MacBook Pro so there shouldn't be any reason for it to take this long - any advice or thoughts?
It could be a combination of a few things.
Are you using 4K footage? How long is your seqeunce?
Are the media cache files on your computer, or are they place on a hard drive?
How much Ram does your computer have?
If you are applying effects to multiple clips I would use an adjustment layer and place the effects on the adjustment layer. I would also try lowering the playback resolution in the program monitor.
@@SaintSaxonCreative3 Thanks for your reply!
I'm using roughly 1 minute of 4K 4:2:2 H.264 footage shot in S-Log 3 on my Sony A7IV. My computer has 32GB of ram and my media cache files are on my computer. I notice the problem occurs when I use an instance of Luma Key, Channel Blur, or Gaussian Blur effects - as soon as I place these effects on my clip, or on an adjustment layer, the playback goes red. I've read that these are GPU intensive effects, and my Premiere is set on Mercury Playback Engine Accelerated GPU, so not sure why it's having such an issue with playback and rendering.
@@SaintSaxonCreative3 After some further trial and error, I've figured out that the problem only arises when I add the channel blur effect for halation. As soon as I add it to either my clip or my adjustment layer, the entire area that it's effecting turns red and I can no longer get playback.
@@xlukewitter Copy. What I would do is..
Lower the playback resoulution to either 1/2 or 1/4 in the program monitor.
Go the Premiere Pro -> Setting -> Media Cache, then place your media cache files on a hard drive so that you will be able to render faster.
I would also look into the process of creating Proxies of your media.

Thank you 😊

Thank you so much❤
You’re welcome!
Thanks for the video! Is there a reason this happens? This is the first time this has happened to me.
It could be a combination of a few things.
How much Ram does your computer have?
Are you using 4K footage? How long is your sequence?
Are the media cache files on your computer, or are they place on an external hard drive?
whats the song name in the background

You're welcome! Thank you the support!
But what if i move it around after rendering the selection?
Set an In point at the beginning of your timeline and an Out point at the end of your timeline.
Then go to the Sequence tab and click on "Render Effects in to out" or you use the keyboard shortcut "Return" on a Mac or "Enter on a Windows Computer while in the timeline panel.
I have one problem. Of course your method fixes the red line issue, but whenever I change or add something in that sequence, the red line comes back. Is there a way to import media so that it wont turn red in the first place?
Are you putting effects on the clips and then moving the clips around in the timleine? If so that is why the red line is coming back.
If you are applying effects to multiple clips I would use an adjustment layer and place the effects on the adjustment layer.
What kind of media are you working with? If it is 4K footage, try lowering the playback resolution in the program monitor.
@@SaintSaxonCreative3 Yep it's 4k footage. Thanks for the information I will try the adjustment layer and the playback resolution as I didn't know that that could cause a red line. Thank you so much!

when i try to render selection my whole pc freezes and i have to restart through the power button
@@_kurisu_ What version of Premiere Pro are you using?
@@SaintSaxonCreative3 2024, it might be because my effects were too powerful
@@_kurisu_ have you tried exporting your sequence and viewing it that way?
i wouldnt be able to export just that part because its red so i would have to try rendering it. i was able to fix it by removing my transform effect but idk how i would be able to do it otherwise
@@_kurisu_ when you export it. It does render it. You get the red line above the timeline because it is not rendered in real time.
Are your media cache and project files on an external hard drive?
do you know why my rendering takes almost two hours no matter what settings i have it under? I made proxies and everything, it is 6k footage and even with the proxies the rendering takes upwards of an hour and a half 🫤 and when i went to encode it, it said ten hours !!! please help 😭🙏🏼
How long is your sequence and what kind of effects are you using?
@@SaintSaxonCreative3 I have no effects rn, and its about 6 and a half minutes
@@esme2199 Is there any lag in playback in the timeline? If this is only a rendering (exporting issue) I would try to export it on hard drive and export it through media encoder.
@@SaintSaxonCreative3 no lag! and everything is on the hard drive already, I had tried to export it on media encoder, but it said ten hours which is outrageous
What are format are you exporting it as MP4, Quicktime? What bitrate are you exporting it as?
