Great Reaction Video..... Darius Rucker Grew in South Carolina.... and Went to College in South Carolina..... He was the Lead Singer for the group "Hootie and the Blowfish" with guys he went to college with....... He has commented that he wanted to sing Country Music......
@@SebsDuran YESSSSS - checkout Let her Cry - one of my favs - I must admit I love him singing country more though - Took me a while to get my head wrapped around it as well.
Did you know the daughter in the video for "There Goes My Life" is Amber Heard? That surprised me and I had to go back and watch the video again. Sure enough.
Darius is a good ole Southerner from South Carolina, Charleston. He's only been in Country Music for the last 15 years or so but we love him. I loved him in Hootie and the Blowfish when I was younger, killer voice!
Love these "in the feels" reactions! A couple great songs for Dads about daughters, Kenny Chesneys "There Goes my Life" and Brantley Gilberts "How to Talk to Girl"
This song really touches your heart. Enjoy every minute with your girls. Just yesterday, I was bringing my first child home from the hospital, and then 4 years later, a set of twins. I blinked and now that first child will be 40 next month, and the twins are almost 36. The grandkids are 16, 15, 7 and 5. I am clinging to every minute I can with them. Honestly, in the grand scheme of things NOTHING else matters.
Darius Rucker's voice is like honey and I will listen to it in any song, any genre. "There Goes My Life" (featuring a teenage Amber Heard), "Wagon Wheel," or dive into his Hootie and the Blowfish days with, "Let Her Cry." So much to explore with Darius! I immediately smile and melt when I hear his voice start a song. ❤️
Thank you for listening to this song. Knowing you have daughters, I thought this would be special to you two. This was actually the song my oldest daughter chose for our daddy/daughter dance at her wedding. I tried to talk to her throughout the song so I wouldn't get emotional. It didn't work so well but this is a moment I will never forget. Thanks again.
Darius is a master vocalist. Man with a golden voice. Hootie and the Blowfish "Cracked rear view" album is a masterpiece, one of the best selling albums of all time. His solo stuff is amazing also.
Darius was/is the lead singer for the great band Hootie and the Blowfish! Formed in the late 80s, was very popular, still performing. Another one you should check out!👌
That 2nd verse about dropping them at preschool gets me. I remember dropping my son off when he was only 3. He cried and cried but he soon loved going. Now he's a senior in high school and is going off to college in a few months. Time marches on.
My favorite part was how proud your wife looked at you the song was going. She knows how lucky she is and I hope and pray that you do to my friend. Great reaction
I loved at the beginning of the video how both of you were just soaking in the beautiful riffs and sound of Darius Rucker’s beautiful voice, and then at the same time, both of you realized what this song was actually about, and instantly at the same time both of your eyes just watered up with tears as you realized what he was really talking about. This is definitely his most beautiful songs, and this is one of your best reactions!
I’m at the moment in this song where mine is a teenager and is hating me. It was good for me to hear this and remember that is a phase as well and it won’t last for long! Great reaction as always!!
Everytime I see you get emotional about your girls, I smile at the thought that they are going to be able to watch these videos over and over throughout their lives. No doubt they will cherish them. ❤️
Love your reactions! This song hits hard. I just celebrated 52 years with my hubby (met him when I was 14). We have 6 kids all grown, had 6 foster kids and cried when they left us and we're now helping my daughter with raising her kids like they're our own. Time goes so fast, so we hug and love those kids all the time. Bless you and yours! Thanks for sharing your heart when reacting to these videos!
I love this song so much. Having raised 3 daughters and watching them grow and leave the home neat. This song absolutely moves me. It's such a beautiful touching song. Darius did a beautiful job singing this song. It's amazing.

Howdy from Texas. Most people don’t know that somewhere near 40 percent of cowboys in the old west were black. People stereotype so quickly. Love Darius’ voice. Thanks for the reaction
Darius grew up in South Carolina listening to all kinds of music. He formed a band in the 90s with college buddies which became hugely successful and after they broke up he decided he wanted to tap into his country roots but wasn't sure how the country music community would accept him and if those that knew him as Hootie would like his style of country music. Well, as a fellow Gen X'er who also grew up listening to all kinds of music and can readily alternate listening to rock, pop, country, classical, R&B, Latin, and oldies, I was excited to hear Darius sing country songs for the first time. I love how country music tells stories that are relatable to the common man and as I get older I find myself turning to country music more than the other genres that I still love. I was just hoping that he would be successful and that he'd release songs that would fit into the 90s style of country music and not the latest "Bro Country" fad which has little lasting value. Well, not only did he release great music but his songs are a perfect blend of who he is and what he wants to say. His voice lends itself well to the genre and he surrounds himself with great musicians. My favorite of his songs are It Won't Be Like This For Long, Come Back Song, and If I Told You.
So true. Time goes by so fast. I have a box of cards and drawings from years ago... including a hand drawn Father's Day Card when my son was in 2nd grade. He's a couple years away from retiring now. The pictures in your mind flash by so quickly...
Man your kid's doing just simple things for you like this just melts ❤️ . My daughter that done the same for me the. Is now married and a RN so do miss the days so enjoy.
My babies are now moms and dads and I sit quietly and wonder how the time got away from me. Wonderful time to savor when they're small and now I take more care to do that with my grandkids.
Great reaction video! Think this one’s my favorite so far. Your wife adds a great dynamic to the video. Made me think of my wife when she quickly reminded you about your second daughter… lol. I tend to focus on my oldest a lot too!
It seems like just yesterday, but I brought my daughter home from the hospital, and here it is 23 years later and I watched her get married last spring. I never thought walking her down the aisle would be as hard as it was. I will admit, I did give my now son-in-law, a very harsh glare and a warning that he should not attempt to hurt her in any way. He got the message
That's awesome y'all!! I have a 21 year old son and a 17 year old daughter. My daughter is a senior in high school. This song hits hard every time I hear it!!
