When I was a kid, there was a house in my town that started hanging stuffed gorillas in their tree. Being like 6-8ish I thought it was funny because it was odd. One day I finally mentioned something to my mom and she got real quiet for a minute and then finally said “Sometimes, really mean people refer to black people as monkeys”. Immediately everything clicked in my head. I was mortified. I will never forget that. This makes me sick.

Ignorant kids with parents who have money. African American students get a significant discount in tuition at Ole Miss as part of reparations. I still wouldn’t sent my kid there. It’s a well known party school

The lady in this program was correct, there’s nothing to worry about her safety at Ole Miss. unfortunately some of the graduate programs at Ole Miss are a joke.
How can you demand an apology when we were shown almost nothing of the video? We have no idea what was said or done 60 seconds before or after. Critical thinking skills matter, speaking of what is taught at Ole Miss or any other university.

Several factors: First, it was not obvious to me that the boy was calling her a monkey or even imitating a monkey or making monkey sounds. Second, if she were calling him a cracker and making derogatory remarks regarding his gentle size (remarks that violate Title IX policy), it makes this a situation of two individuals yelling racial epithets at each other rather than a racist white man attacking an innocent black female victim.
