Czapek & Cie CEO Xavier de Roquemarel joins Ariel Adams of aBlogtowatch to discuss the Czapek & Cie. Antarctique Passage de Drake watch, named after the English explorer Sir Francis Drake. Inside the 40.5mm-wide stainless steel case is Czapek’s in-house caliber SXH5.01 automatic movement featuring a 100% recycled platinum rotor, free-sprung balance wheel, and skeletonized bridges. This particular reference is a 40-piece limited edition known as “Roaring Forties,” with a unique gray trapezoidal dial motif and luminescent rhodium-plated steel hour markers. An anti-reflective sapphire crystal tops the dial, and a handsome integrated steel bracelet with a Czapek-exclusive “Easy Release” system completes the package.
