The Right Rev. Daryl Coley has been seriously ill. In addition to requiring a transplant, having diabetes and possibly having serious vision loss, he is still singing and has a wonderful musicial ministry. I attended a fund raiser in 2008 for Dr. Coley at the Love Centered Church in Oakland where Bishop Walter Hawkins presided over the wonderful service. So I am glad to see Dr. Coley pressing on in faith.
Everybody did a great job for Pastor Caesar Tribute. but I loved Lemmie Battles, Le'Andria Johnson, Dorinda Clark Cole and Darryl Coley and Dottie Peoples. I can' t forget Kathy and Rizen. I almost named everybody... LOL!!
THANK YOU!!! People need to stop acting like they are allowed to take advantage of gospel artists and the like.. because that's exactly what they are doing whether they believe it or not.

I would have loved to have just been a fly on the wall there in Memphis during this tribute to Shirley Ceasar just wish the sound quality on this vid would have been better.
although the event was sold out... Then after the show as people are standing in line being told "you must buy a cd to get a autograph " , that just put a bad taste in my mouth... I guess I just didn`t expect this 'money money money and more money `thing at a gospel event.. What about those fans that maybe had purchased the cd elsewhere or perhaps didn`t have any more money to spare that night but just wanted an autograph from their favorite `gospel singer`... no compassion !
chris thomas in my previous experiences, most of them will still give you an autograph after the lines and etc have slowed down. I can understand why something like that would come off rude but at the same time we have to be mindful that their gift is also how they make their living.

It`s not a matter of trying to get free stuff from gospel artists..I agree that a man is worthy of his hire but like I said where is the compassion ? especially at a gospel event .. paid for ticket to get in plus they took up an offering near the end of this concert.......It does not hurt to give a person an autograph without charging . I have seen many famous secular artists give free autographs !

Where's the compassion when someone sees a gospel artist EATING DINNER at a restaurant and they are interrupted because some snot nose kid wants their autograph and then someone else wants an autograph...then someone else... when does it end?? Maybe you'd understand if you were in their shoes. Do you know how much those secular artists make compared to gospel artists???? Of COURSE they give more autographs out for free. They can afford it! lol
