Wisconsin is gorgeous! So proud to live here😊 I've been to Madeline many times. I've wanted to do this. And after watching your video, I'm going this summer 😊 thanks for sharing your adventure 🤗
My dad and I used to kayak that coast and explore those caves when I was a kid. There was one day when the water was dead calm, and that first cliffside adjacent to the beach was really eerie because you could see all the massive boulders that had fallen off the cliffs and were just lurking there beneath you. Something about the size of them, and the sense of how small the boat was by comparison, gave me shivers. And then paddling further along you could see the bottom getting further and further away until eventually it was just the black depths. Haunting but amazing.
Aw! 💜 My cousins grew up there and making the 4 hour drive from the Twin Cities to visit them was hands down one of the biggest highlights if my childhood. You guys did a great job showcasing this hidden heaven!!

Awesome video! 2 yrs ago my family and I were in Bayfield for the first time. We did the same kayaking trip. The sun was setting as we kayaked back to the beach. It was amazing! Thanks for sharing your experiences. I can’t wait for the next video.
My Wife and I hiked all over the area that you kayaked in March of 2018. Look for Wisconsin's Ice Caves and you will be amazed, really awesome. That was our first trip to the Duluth, Mn. and Superior, Wi. areas and the whole area blew us away! We are all about the Rockies and the mountain west but this area has become one of our new favorite places. You should try the area where the start of the Mississippi River is. The Mississippi falls about a foot and a half over some rocks and you can walk in 2-2.5 foot deep water and only about about 5-6 feet wide for over a mile before it slowly grows to the very big body of water that it is where we live in Chester, Il. about an hour south of St. Louis, Mo. We love your videos, where you go and how you cover all the interesting details. I can only wish there were GoPro cams and such back in the early 1970's. What an perfect way to spend visiting all over this beautiful country. Check some of the videos about the Apostle Island Ice Caves. It's really hard to imagine the beauty walking over the 60-80 foot deep crystal clear blue water over the same spots you were!
Seeing these NP videos around the Great Lakes makes us so pumped for when we eventually go!! We went sea kayaking around Mt Desert Island - Acadia NP! It was so fun and incredibly beautiful!! We will definitely follow in y’alls footsteps and go sea kayaking up there too!!!👍
I love all your videos. My husband and I are visiting all the places and restaurants that are covered in your Colorado vlogs, and this place will go to our to-do list. 🙂
If you all go back to Colorado, it would be so cool to see you at Garden of the Gods & maybe a cogwheel ride up to the top of Pike's Peak in Colorado Springs...and then lovely Manitou. 😊🏞🏕
WOW what a great adventure! The smiles on your faces tell just how much fun you were having. Thanks for sharing places we are not able to go on our own. We are not kayakers especially in cold water. We appreciate all the hard work you do in filming and showing us fantastic places! Safe Travels.
One of the best of Midwest vlogs so far. Such a unique adventure today, loved every minute of it. BTW you have a dust spot on the sensor of your Sony camera I believe. Again, great job on this one.
Yeah the darn dust is the bane of our existence, especially on sunny days when we cannot see anything we are filming 😫 We try hard to keep it clean, but it’s tough! Glad you enjoyed the video!
"It gets narrow back there, so DO NOT MESS UP OUR KAYAKS. Okay, let's go." I only made it into Wisconsin once, and briefly. In fact, I lived in Iowa but only got to see, oh, Chicago and Minnesota. You visited at the right time. I saw a football game in St. Cloud in December or January of 1990-something and am still thawing out. Keep on motorin', y'all. I have to live vicariously through you at the moment! :) (Parenthetically, of all the places you've gone, your Houston video is the second-most viewed?! As a resident, I smile, but I can see why. We are not used to people thinking much about us past the floods, the Rockets, and...uh.......that's it. But what good food we do have. So I think "my people" showed up to watch that one.)
It's always very confusing which videos do well. City ones tend to do better, especially if it's a lesser visited city (like Sioux Falls or Little Rock), but usually it's a lot of locals that find it and then complain about the city or tell us we went to the wrong places hah.
Hello Adventurers😊😊😊, and WOW...HOLY COW!! Those sea caves that you went through kayaking was just AMAZING!! I have never kayaked before but I may try that now. That looks like so much fun. I can't wait to see what's next👍👍👍👍👍.
So awesome to see you in Wisconsin and what a jumping off point!! You go through a lot more caves here than the tour I did on Madeline island. It was still amazing there as well just a bit different. Thanks for showcasing this one so well!
Wow! Thanks for making Wisconsin look boring and ugly… wait. Nope. Now we wanna visit even more 😂. Such a cool adventure, glad you guys got to share - the water against the cliffs ❤️
Those rocks were beautiful!! What an awesome experience! I was even a little scared about you guys going to far into that crevasse! Made me nervous. Anyway, wonderful vlog and thanks again for taking me along. : )
Wow! That was so incredibly beautiful and even cooler than I imagined. I have had this on my radar for a long time now but no imminent plans. You guys have me stoked for when we do. I didn’t think it would be such tight confines. That was unexpected and really neat. Awesome job filming this. I am sure this was a tough one to pull off. Glad you were able to experience this. I know Lake Superior can have unpredictable conditions.
This was a bucket list adventure! We had this on our list for a long time! Going through those tight spaces made it even more fun and adventurous! We hope you can make it out to do this. Tours are always tough to film because we never know what to expect! Thanks for your kind comment, as always!
I had no idea that a crevasse could be so scenic. And I’m well versed in National Seashores but I didn’t even know National Lakeshores were a thing. I’ve learned so much from your adventures. Thank you!
Pretty cool stuff eh? We missed you barely!!! Were there last month my friends! Devils Island was awesome! Loved those lighthouses too - I was NOT able to do the kayaking thing - but I was very curious how in the heck you were able to video, paddle, sightsee, cave explore...all together! Seriously...I am IMPRESSED!
It was HARD! Hahah lots of one of us just paddling and us frantically trying to not get left behind 😂 Worth it though to share this video, but definitely was more of a challenge compared to normal!
Thank you for this beautiful video! I'm outside of the N/W side of Chicago and Bayfield is approx 7 1/2 hours drive ... Apostle Islands are #1 on my places to visit
Hopefully you all see this, are you able to remember which option you chose for their tours? Was it a half/full day? Thanks! My boyfriend and I love watching your videos, gives us great travel ideas!
After melting today in the Ohio heat…all that water looks so refreshing! My brain is fried but I’ll try to leave a kind and thoughtful comment. Who knew Wisconsin has caves in the water like that?! It almost looks like something you would find in Vernazza Italy! These caves are so cool and beautiful! It was evident you guys were having a blast! Also Katherine had a good hair day! Not that she normally doesn’t…. Thanks for sharing guys! 🔥🔥🔥
A quick question - We are going soon and I was wondering, why did you cross the pennisula to Cornucopia get your kayaking tour when they have outfitters in Bayfield that go to the caves on Madeline Island?
Lol I kept getting nervous about the caves like a scary movie 😂😂 but so beautiful!! Never heard of this place but it's definitely on my list now. Can't wait to see the next adventure you two! 🧀🧀🧀
It wasn't too bad! At first it felt like it would tip over haha, but we got used to it! We aren't used to being inside a kayak, but it was awesome to not really have our lower half get wet!

Keep on motorin', y'all. I have to live vicariously through you at the moment! :)
(Parenthetically, of all the places you've gone, your Houston video is the second-most viewed?!
What a nice area, glad you enjoyed
It was beautiful out there!
Hello Adventurers😊😊😊, and WOW...HOLY COW!! Those sea caves that you went through kayaking was just AMAZING!! I have never kayaked before but I may try that now. That looks like so much fun. I can't wait to see what's next👍👍👍👍👍.
It was such a blast! And thankfully the waters were pretty calm, which made the kayaking part easier too. We hope you can try it someday!
So awesome to see you in Wisconsin and what a jumping off point!! You go through a lot more caves here than the tour I did on Madeline island. It was still amazing there as well just a bit different. Thanks for showcasing this one so well!
We'd love to make it to Madeline Island next time! Looks beautiful there!
Thxs for sharing this adventure when I was there we had 3 foot seas so we had to kayak the back waters
Wow! Thanks for making Wisconsin look boring and ugly… wait. Nope. Now we wanna visit even more 😂. Such a cool adventure, glad you guys got to share - the water against the cliffs ❤️
Hahaha it’s a beautiful state! We hope y’all can visit and do this tour!
Those rocks were beautiful!! What an awesome experience! I was even a little scared about you guys going to far into that crevasse! Made me nervous. Anyway, wonderful vlog and thanks again for taking me along. : )
The rocks were sooo beautiful, especially against that water!
Aloha guys! Great to see your doing good. Awesome content, keep it up👍🤙
Thanks for watching!
Awesome video, wow those narrow passages.....
It was such a blast!
That looks incredible!!
It was tons of fun!
I had no idea that a crevasse could be so scenic. And I’m well versed in National Seashores but I didn’t even know National Lakeshores were a thing. I’ve learned so much from your adventures. Thank you!
It turns out there are 3 now! There used to be 4, but one turned into a national park a few years ago (Indiana Dunes)!
I was smiling along with you two the whole video. ❤️
We couldn’t wipe it off of our faces! 😍
What a beautiful place and you did great capturing it, thank you 😊
Thanks Cathy!
the kayak tour looked awesome!!!! would love to do that... so cool to be somewhere other than open water!
It was unreal! Those caves were so fun to squeeze into!
Thanks for sharing your video capture!
Thank you for watching!
Thank you for this beautiful video! I'm outside of the N/W side of Chicago and Bayfield is approx 7 1/2 hours drive ... Apostle Islands are #1 on my places to visit
Beautiful sea caves adventure.
The caves were spectacular! 😍
I went sailing around the Apostle Islands many years ago. I grew up in Wisconsin. Safe Travels you 3
That sounds amazing!
Thank you for sharing! Looks so cool! This is similar to Pictured Rocks in MI UP.
We saw lots of folks kayaking at pictured rocks as well. The water there is insane!
Wow what a beautiful Kayak tour , we love watching your tours .
Thank you so much!
😮wow, love the kayaking!!!
It was such a fun activity!
Brilliant! We want to go there and do that!
We hope you can go here someday!
How funny, in your opening town there’s a shot with our ACA paddle groups leaders car and kayak parked on the street. Cheers
That looked amazing!! Can’t wait to see the rest of WI!!😀
It was such a fun way to kick off our time in the area!
Love the video! And it's so close, I'm in Minnesota and it's good to know I can get out there! Thanks for the video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wonderful filming of the caves adventure.
Thank you!
thanks guys
That last crevasse gave me the willies. Reminded me of the trash compactor scene in Star Wars. Haha. But what a beautiful lake.
Hahaha we surprisingly were not freaked out!
That looks so cool! Another epic video!!
Thank you so much!
How far in that crevasse did you go before it got that narrow?
Nice VLOG.....my anxiety went through the roof watching you guys go into that narrow crevasse!!!
It was pretty tight in there!
I've walked in there when it was frozen!
Been a Wisconsinite my whole life and I'm embarrassed to say I've never been to the Apostle Islands :( Lovely video!
Oh you gotta get out there! It's incredible!
Cool video! Now you'll have to learn how to do an Eskimo roll for your next kayak adventure...
Oooo that sounds fun!
Hopefully you all see this, are you able to remember which option you chose for their tours? Was it a half/full day? Thanks! My boyfriend and I love watching your videos, gives us great travel ideas!
Hi, Emma! We did the half day tour! Thanks for watching!
Those caves are so cool!
They were an absolute blast!
I’m so excited to see this!!! It’s on my list yo go to
It is so much fun! We highly recommend it!
The caves were awesome
They were sooo fun!
We feel ya Brad! This Midwest heat and humidity has been KILLING US! It's brutal! But the water was mega refreshing, we almost wanted to jump in!
A quick question - We are going soon and I was wondering, why did you cross the pennisula to Cornucopia get your kayaking tour when they have outfitters in Bayfield that go to the caves on Madeline Island?
You guys are awesome. Beautiful
So glad you enjoyed the scenery! 💕
What an awesome experience..😍😍
It was a blast!
That was AMAZING!!
So happy you enjoyed it!
Fantastic work(play) guyz👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Mark!
Oooooo fun!! I’m not sure I could kayak through a cave! 😬
Ok, that wasn’t so bad. Super cool!
It was soooo much fun! But we don't mind tight spaces usually.
Adam, that may be the first & last time in your life you'll say your skirt fell off!! You guys are such a wonderful couple, we love you guys.
😂😂😂
Lol I kept getting nervous about the caves like a scary movie 😂😂 but so beautiful!! Never heard of this place but it's definitely on my list now. Can't wait to see the next adventure you two! 🧀🧀🧀
I think we were just too pumped to even be nervous haha!
We loved this video ! 👍😀
Yay! So glad!
Very nice sea caves and upload 🤙
Thank you!
Another Awesome Video! 😊
So glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome Video!! We want to do this. Can you provide the name of the tour outfit. They look like they did an awesome job!!
It is a blast! There is a link to the tour in the description 😃
Beautiful. How far into that crevasse did you go? Also Adam looks like he would pretty adept with a paddle in hand.
I’m not totally sure how far it was, but we went as far as we possibly could!
I’ve always wanted to visit the apostle islands! Also how shaky was the sea kayak?
It wasn't too bad! At first it felt like it would tip over haha, but we got used to it! We aren't used to being inside a kayak, but it was awesome to not really have our lower half get wet!
Awesome. What did you do with your dog. We are about to take a long trip with our dog and was wondering how that went. Thanks for taking time to share your adventures
She was boarded for the day in Ashland. We share more insight into how we travel with a dog here: adventuresofaplusk.com/full-time-van-life-with-a-dog-tips-for-traveling-with-a-dog/
