    Thanks for the review! Is it possible to write full-size RAW files to an SD card and sRAW to a microSD to compensate its speed limitation?

    Thank you so much, I think micro sd card we could use it for back up 📸

    Thanks for this video, any chance you can test a Sandisk V60 card with High Efficiency* RAWs

      Well... For whatever reason, SanDisk/WD Germany is really limited on sampling for quite some time now. Even the updated 300 MB/s V90 we use for testing came from Panasonic (Lumix S5 II Event).

    Question: Can you leave the micro card in place, but disable the slot in menus in order to get the highest performance (without removing the micro card)?

      Sure, you can e.g. set up the Z fc to use the SD only and switch to the microSD once the SD is full.

    What so you think of the option Jpeg fine and videos in Sd and Raw in Micro Sd?

      Doesn't make sense, since RAW files are larger than JPEG. You should use the faster card for the bigger (RAW) files.

    I am shopping for a microsd card for backup. Can you confirm there is no difference in performance between a UHS-I V30 vs UHS-II V60 in the Nikon Zf?

    • @memory-card
      @memory-card  7 місяців тому +1

      No, because they're hundreds of UHS-I V30 and some UHS-II V60 cards out there. There are also differences between UHS-I V30 SD cards. The _Lexar Play_ is much slower than a _Sabrent Rocket V30 A2_ and so on. Have a look: vturl.de/g/269
      But the Nikon Z f does not support UHS-II at the microSD slot, so there's no point of using a UHS-II microSD card (instead of a fast UHS-I).

    I know this video is from some time ago but I had a question. Will the performance change if you use the SD card as main and micro SD as back up. Will that lower the 200 fps buffer size? would it only go as fast as the MicroSD?

    • @memory-card
      @memory-card  6 місяців тому +1

      1.) There is no "200 frame buffer". The 200 frames are just an artificial limitation. The actual buffer is much smaller.
      2) If you use 1:1 Back-Up, the slower card obviously limits the overall speed. The camera-internal buffer can't be cleared if the microSD card isn't ready.
      But you could use RAW (fast SD) + JPEG (slow microSD) instead. So there is still a Back-Up (JPEG) but since JPEG files are smaller, the negative effects are not as sever.

      @@memory-card Thank you so much, One more follow up question and I apologize for the questions this late . Would the camera still shoot at it's 11 fps with the microsd as a raw back?

      Until the buffer is full, sure.
