I was literally going to post the same thing. The Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom rarely goes below 40 minutes. Esp during the summer which never goes below 60 min.
I've been on it a while ago. It's not as scary as people say it is. The only part that was scary for me was the first drop because you have no idea where you're going. You don't get a lot of air time on this one, the twists and turns are quite gentle, and you see yourself going upside down but you don't feel anything, unless you close your eyes. NEVER close your eyes in a loop. Otherwise, the illusion of flying through space is great. Only the breaks at the end are rough, but that's normal for high speed roller coasters.
im standing in front of the space mountain mission 2 in disneyland paris, trying to decide whether or not if i wanna ride it by watching this video... i guess that will be a "no"
ok im scared of hights when ever someone goes on a ride that i think is good hight for me when i get on im like"im going to regret going on this" 😁😁😁 😁😁😁 😁😁😁
I preffer the WDW version mostly because it is nostalgic to old Disney. It is very cool. But I would rather they refurb it and make it more like DL's version which is my favourite coaster of all time, better then this one even for me.
My friends and I went on this ride when we went to Disneyland and it was frickin' terrifying!! But it was so worth it for the look on my friend's face on the pic we bought at the end of it haha! 😂
Unless the restraints are any different than they were in Mission One, this was the most painful roller coaster I had ever ridden, and still is. Disney World's version--which is notoriously bumpy--is much less painful, and Disneyland's version feels like butter and is much more thrilling compared to the Paris version. Just because it goes upside down doesn't make it a good ride.
Now, "Space Mountain mission 2" is closed, for 6 months because it have a lot of changes inside (new elements of scenery). More, it's possible to have a change in the name, but it has to be verified.
The first mission was to go to the moon by the inspiration of Jules Verne. And with that, the train launched from the top of the cannon at that time, from 1995 - 2005.
It's a really good ride. If your there you MUST!!!! Go on it! However the car on the right is really violent. I got caught completely by surprise because when I thought you got shot up you'd just come back down again, so I sat forward only then all the hardcore stuff came in and my head was bashed around a bit. Oh well, all part of the fun! :)
***** Mission one is any space mountain modled after the original. So, Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Disneyland Tokyo, and Disneyland Hong Kong. We have Space Mountain Mission 1 here in the USA.
***** Forgive me as I am a loose constructionist, thinking that there being a "Space Mountain Mission 2" means that any "Space Mountain" in automaticly "Mission 1". Thank you for the information.
This was slightly scarier compared to Mission 1. I sat in Mission 1 in Hong Kong and that was literally child's play. I went on this thinking it was going to be the same but I was so wrong. I didn't even know we did two loops in there and my glasses almost flew off. The best part has to be the starting. That was pretty sick being launched like a rocket plus the countdown sequence.
definitely one of my favourite rides in paris, except I never saw the 'keep your head against the headrest' sign the first time I rode it so my head killed.
I remember i went to disney land in 2008 with my high school and there was no line at all at the space mountain so we went like 5 times in a row lol. Miss those days
I have never been in an upside down roller coaster before and when I go to disney paris in December I want to go on this but I'm scared do u feel the loops much ?
i always loved going to disney world (florida) as a kid. my dream before i die is to go to all of them around the world (Paris, Tokyo, Cali) and so on. this ride looks 10 times better then the one in Florida. very nice :)
What sucked about my first ride on this was A. I had to go in alone and found the queue intimidating as hell. B. Just as I was enjoying myself the ride stopped rught after the spiral of light, there is nothing dangerous after that, yet we had to wait there for about 10 minutes. Still don't know why. C. Later that night my back and neck hurt a lot and I thought I might become crippled. Luckily I didn't. I probably got a bit paranoid that day. Then I went on it again though.
I’m going to this Disneyland in a week and haven’t been a fan of coasters launching at the start ever since being on the Alton towers Rita, seeing this, ohhh no 😭

I've been on the Space Mountain at WDW, Disneyland, and Paris. I like Disneyland the most because a) WDW version seemed just like Matterhorn with different theme, never been a fan of Matterhorn and b) YOU CAN'T FEEL THE G-FORCE HERE AND MY BROTHER ISN'T TALL ENOUGH BUT HE CAN GO ON LOOP THE LOOPS AT DISNEYLAND!!!!!
rhiannon clarkson I had to go twice in row. The first time was my choice, and the second time I was forced against my will. I hate roller coasters too. ;~;

The Florida version was the first one and is slower and bumpier than the California version. Most people who've ridden both think the California version is better than Florida. my favorite space mountain is Disneyland, Anaheim because of the music, it just makes the ride much more fun.
Mrs.KareMac16 normally there a soundtrack for this one but maybe having a problem, I already ride it and I will remember of the song

It goes upside down the hell.
Faye Roberts *The same thought I had*
It has OTSR....how did you not know? Those restraints aren't used on anything other than looping coasters.
It does it twice, a loop-the-loop and then a barrel-roll if I remember correctly

u guys have to admit though the space mountain at Disneyland is the best
The one in Disneyland Resort ?! Oh god no ! The one in Disneyland Paris is the best ;)
Yeah the disneyland versión are the second better at all the parks but disneyland in California its the best disney park nothing can beats it
Diego_Alex 079 but I know your on about Disneyland parks only but 6 Flags are just #1 for me
Rock D. Yeah, I like this one better than the others.

There was never implemented a mission 1... it was in the Abounded By Disney creepypasta.

It is because HK is not mission1.
Mission 1 was the first version of the one in Disneyland Paris. Bases on the novel of Jules Ver e
it does 3 loops, I went on Thursday with my school, me and a few of my friends must of gone on it about 5-10 times.

The paris one is worse try Disney world in florida
This was my first "big" roller coaster... FUCKING LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT

Now this is what I call space mountain...
Looking forward to Saturday....!!!
i remember the last time i went on this my friend forced me when i needed a wee oh wasnt that a good idea
rhiannon clarkson I had to go twice in row. The first time was my choice, and the second time I was forced against my will. I hate roller coasters too. ;~;
