  • As our journey through time continues, we’re taking one more trip to Europe to take a look at the unique specimens found in Portugal, Spain and Italy. The creatures from these places may not be the most widely known as far as Mesozoic Europe goes, but they’re certainly among the most unique found on the continent. Portugal, just like the USA and Tanzania, was a MASSIVE hotspot for variety in the Jurassic - long-necked stegosaurs, large sauropods, small ornithopods and big theropod predators chief among them. Spain housed some of the most bizarre Cretaceous specimens to ever roam Europe, including early ornithomimids with a diet for fish and small carcharodontosaurs with humped backs. And Italy saw quite a boom of life during the Triassic, including early ichthyosaurs and a fair few notable tiny pterosaurs. Many of these species have been highly sought after by the players, so let’s take a look at the chances they have of joining the roster.

So yeah, the series’ future’s in a bit of a funny spot again. I originally planned to end it with the next episode covering the rest of Cretaceous Asia - Jordan, Uzbekistan, Russia, South Korea, Japan, Laos and Thailand. I’ve recently had New Zealand brought up to me, but I’m not sure whether to include it in the episode along with Asia or a post along with Forgotten Species - Part 3. So yeah, this was always planned to be the end… until Hybrids also kept being requested. Some felt it’d be an appropriate ending to the series after the extensive tour we’ve been on through Earth’s countries. So… whadda you guys think? Should the series end next time with Cretaceous Asia, or should I go ahead with an extra episode on hybrids?

In Italy there is the scypionix samniticus, only one specimen has been discovered and it is the best preserved dinosaur fossil in the world. This specimen was a juvenile and its classification is uncertain, so we don't even know what it would have looked like as an adult. It is precisely this that, in my opinion, excludes it from the jwe3 roster, although it has the distinction of being the best preserved dinosaur fossil in the world.

Whether or not Lusotitan gets added into Evolution 3 is still up for debate, but I would be surprised if at least one new species set to appear in the new Walking With Dinosaurs series did not eventually get added to the game.

Yeah, inclusions like Barbaridactylus and Deinocheirus definitely feel influenced by their appearances in Prehistoric Planet, so I wouldn't be surprised if the Walking with Dinosaurs reboot also influences Frontier's species choices, especially if it gets *_BIG_* like the original show and Prehistoric Planet.

Great video mate, T-Rexcellent work work as always, I really do hope that we get the Miragaia in the game someday, it’s honestly my favourite Stegosaurid after Stegosaurus itself, anyway, anyway, looking forward to Cretaceous Asia and New Zealand next as well as hopefully Hybrids after that, take care my friend.

Thanks as always, man! Btw, in light of our Evolution 3 roster discussion yesterday, here's what I've come up with for if *_I_* were in charge of the launch roster. This could change if I decide to do a video or post about it, but for right now, I'm thinking:
      Basilosaurus _(Lagoon)_
      Coelodonta
      Dilong
      Dodo
      Doedicurus
      Edaphosaurus
      Hypsilophodon
      Inostrancevia
      Irritator
      Kelenken
      Leptocleidus _(Lagoon)_
      Mammuthus
      Megaloceros
      Meganeura _(Aviary)_
      Metriorhynchus _(Lagoon)_
      Microraptor _(Aviary)_
      Peloroplites
      Rhamphorhynchus _(Aviary)_
      Scutosaurus
      Smilodon
      Tethyshadros
      Teratophoneus
      Zhenyuanopterus _(Aviary)_
      *Deluxe Edition*
      Austroraptor
      Diabloceratops
      Helicoprion _(Lagoon)_
      Megacerops
      Shenzhoupterus _(Aviary)_
And yeah, this is assuming the Chaos Theory species are delayed for a DLC in the future, depending of how long the show goes on for.
      Whatcha think?

Very nice species roster mate, all wonderful editions, I’m flattered that your putting stock in my 28 new species theory and I would love to see a video about your refined 28 Species Roster mate, and yes, considering what they did with the Camp Cretaceous species, I do honestly expect that all of the future new Chaos Theory Species like Becklespinax will be part of a DLC and not added immediately into the base game, which honestly fair enough for Frontier to do and might even be for the best if Chaos Theory does continue on past Evolution 3’s release date, which is very possible at this point, considering the positive reception the show has been getting from fans, I do expect that it will get at least the same number of seasons that Camp Cretaceous got, 5 at least, maybe even more I hope.

@@awesomeproductions7755not really, I’ve rewatched this series enough now to know what are your personal favourite creatures, the Dodo maybe, but I just chalked that up our previous conversation about its lore links to the film canon as having influenced your choice, for me personally, their is no such thing as a bad species choice when it comes to new creatures for Jurassic World Evolution, dinosaurs, pterosaurs, aquatic creatures, Palaeozoic creatures, Cenozoic creatures, hybrids, I love them all and I look forward to whatever Frontier will give us for Evolution 3.

      @@t-rexcellentreviews1663
Yeah, that might have played a part in choosing the Dodo, but it's also one of the most famous extinct animals ever, so it only felt right to include it as a potential starting species for the Cenozoic side of things, like what the Struthiomimus is to the dinosaurs. Still did try my best to slip in some surprising obscure names like Frontier love to so much - hence the additions of species like Tethyshadros, Leptocleidus and Shenzoupterus. Speaking of which, do you think we could see some of the creatures get design changes in Evolution 3, like what happened with the Ankylodocus? For example - the non-canon ornithomimids and pterosaurs, along with others like the Proceratosaurus being given feathers? Or maybe some of the more controversial designs getting changed up? Like if the super spiky Carcharodontosaurus and the extremely chunky Acrocanthosaurus were made closer to their real life looks like in Prehistoric Kingdom, or if they finally got rid of the Deinonychus' infamous head comb?

Tethyshadros actually has a pretty good chance of getting added into Evolution 3, I mean, the Hatzegopteryx has to eat something if it gets added into the game after all.

I would really like to see Turiasaurus, Europe's largest dinosaur, being added. Its amber appeared in a Jurassic World exhibit if memory serves, and even though it is not a very likely addition it is a favorite of mine. And dreaming is free I guess. Besides, I cannot bear more asian stegosaurs so please let Dacentrurus or Miragaia be in the game Frontier!
