Can you please confirm whether the coolant temperature sensor on the coolant manifold (the long tube) is for ECM (blue connector), while the sensor on the thermostat housing is for the coolant temp gauge on the dashboard?
@@wewrench thanks, actually I just found it out experimentally, my sensors were plugged the wrong way around which caused a false gauge reading (and wrong DME info). Blue connector (DME) goes to coolant manifold.
Typical of BMW to recommend a tool that is basically unobtainable. BMW used to have a tool referred by many as the Iron Maiden. It basically sat on top of the cylinder head and allowed you to put pressure on all of the rockers to free up the camshaft. Impossible to obtain today and only real way to get it is by making. Gosh I hate BMWs 😑
