Side note: i unfortunately couldn't find a date on this fan. Edit as of 1/23/24: I found out the date on this fan. At first I didn't know because there was no date anywhere and I mean ANYWHERE. I tried checking on top of the motor housing because that is normally where the date is, there was only two stickers and they both where the same exact thing just in 2 different languages. Neither of them said the date on them. But the date isn't always on top of the motor housing. One time emanfan found the date to one of his fans in the blade set so I tried checking the blade set to see if there is any papers that say the date on it and there was no papers the said any thing on them. I tried checking the switch housing and couldn't find anything. I tried looking through the screw bags to see if there was any papers in there that say the date. There was only one paper in one of the screw bags and I read that completely there was no date in there. My mom told me there might be a date in the owners manual so I checked that read it completely and there was no date on it. At that point there was just no date on it so I didn't know when it was from. But my guess is that it was from sometime between 1989-1993. Most people who have southwind i's, they southwinds are mostly from 1989 or 1990 (most of the time 1990) but some people have southwind i's from 1989. But every fan collector that I know that has a southwind I they have a panama vent southwind I don't have a panama vent southwind I have an smc southwind. It is basically a smc Hampton Bay landmark ii because it's literally the same exact fan just a different name and it came out before the smc landmark. But due to the fact that mines is and smc southwind I am the only fan collector that I know has one so I don't know if they are as old as the panama vent southwinds. Thankfully last night I saw emanfan's video of his Hampton Bay Huntington ii and he had the same problem as me. His fan the same stickers as mine so he couldn't figure out the date on it. But, one of the stickers said jjc Mrceilingfanman1999 commented on the video and said jj means 1999 and c means March so the ment the fan was from March 1999. After this I immediately pulled out the southwind and checked what it said. It said jgf. I immediately replied to him and said the my southwind says jgf on it what does that mean. After a couple minutes I realized if c means March because March is the 3rd month and c is the third letter that means f means it's from June. So I knew it was from June just wasn't sure if the year. After a couple minutes Mrceilingfanman1999 responded and told me the f= June and jg= 1996 so that means it's from June 1996. I am happy to know the date on this fan but a little bit disappointed because I expected it to be a little bit older than that. I was expecting at latest 1993 but it's from 1996 unfortunately which means it is not the oldest fan out of the ceiling fans in my collection, the Bahama hugger is. I can't even believe the fact that my Bahama hugger is older than it. I guess the smc Hampton Bay southwind i's aren't as old as the panama vent southwind i's. I'm not sure who made the panama vent southwinds but my guess is either cei, air-cool or king of fans. This is a very long comment, I'm gone!
My bad guys. This is actually a cei Hampton Bay southwind I. I thought it was a smc southwind because it looks like it, it has the smc design. But it's actually cei southwind because it has the same stickers that every cei ceiling fan has (cei Hampton Bays atleast). All cei Hampton Bays have the same 2 stickers just in 2 different languages and has 3 letters as the date code.
No. It isn't getting replaced. You will see why this summer. And we are not getting a palm beach on our porch or a fanimation zonix for the dining room either. I can't reveal why now but you will see this summer. The only fan that is getting replaced is the Weston because I want to keep it for my collection.
@@yourlocalhubert update on what I said: the laurel glen and Parisian is getting replaced too. I talked to my mom about some rare fans and told her the laurel glen and Parisian is rare and she said we should take them with us so that means they are going with us along with the Weston. The Weston is probably going to be the only one in my collection tho. The laurel glen and Parisian are probably going to be installed somewhere.
