I agree with you--sewing does wait for us. I took about a 15 year break from sewing and returned to it last year. About the time I started watching youtube sewing videos. :-) Thanks for the inspiration.
That sounds like me, Deborah. I took a long break from sewing. I regret it now, but what’s done is done. See? That’s why I have to buy all these fabrics and patterns!! I’m making up for lost time!!😂
I like the comment “sewing waits for us”. Had brain surgery 3yrs ago, just picking it back up again now. need the relearn a lot but so great for the brain. Thank you
So thankful your surgery was a success, Carole! Sewing will be great for the brain, as you say. I did a video about the surprising benefits of sewing and knitting, and there are all sorts of brain and health benefits. Prayers for your continued recovery and healing!🌺
I love the “sewing waits for you” comment. I’ve been a hospice nurse for many years and just retired earlier than I expected. The good part is that I have fallen back in love with sewing and your videos give me the courage to start back tackling apparel. Thank you!
Thank you so much, Candy, for your work in hospice care.💕That takes a special dedication and a truly compassionate person. I am certain you comforted many and helped to ease families’ pain in the midst of saying goodbye. On a lighter note, I’m overjoyed that you’re interested in sewing again! Like you, I fell back in love with sewing after many years away. Except it’s better this time around because I have the luxury of time. I’m happy that you’re here!
Viv, you are so right. I’m in the middle of my cancer journey and every day I go into my sewing room and sit surrounded by fabrics, sewing machine, ribbons and buttons, scissors, needles and thread. It’s this room that has grounded me, has given me joy even though I’m not able to sew right now. It will wait for me. My sewing has got me through good times and bad, it’s there, it’s my haven, my safe place. Keep up your inspirational videos.xx
Blessings on you and prayers for a full recovery, tennyson effie.💕Sewing has carried through so many of us. And it brings back a lot of great memories of moms and grandmas (not so many dads and grandpas, but perhaps them too - lol) as we forge ahead with our own creativity. It will be there for you when you’re ready. Thanks so much for writing.
Hi Linda, welcome! My sister quilts and I sew garments, and we joke that one thing we DO share is an adoration of fabrics. You quilt and sew garments, and my hat is off. Huzzah!! Don’t feel you need to change a thing if you’re content doing what you’re doing. I have heard from many viewers who sewed “back in the day.” I was one of them myself - I took years off after having the third baby at age 38 (now that was a surprise!) and then made a dress in late 2016. I was hooked. And here I am today - meeting the most wonderful seamstresses and quilters. It’s been absolutely marvelous.🌺
Viv, you inspire me to be a better mom. I watch you for the fabric and sewing, but anytime I’ve seen you with your children I think, “will my babies (4,3 and 1) be like that with me one day?!” You can just truly see what grounded, well developed young adults they are! And the wonderful relationship you have with them! Anyways, thanks for another great video! 🥰
My son used to love to pick out the fabric for his shorts back in the `90s. He's now in his mid-30's and is my second pair of eyes when I need a coordinating quilt fabric. He'll still come see what I'm working on and pick out dress fabric for his daughter. I live in VA, about 2 hrs away from OBX . The weather is supposed to be beautiful next week.
I've now watched 3 of ur videos today. The date is 1/21/2023 and I am enjoying them all over again and yes u r correct sewing is a friend that waits for us. You have magic in your enthusiasm that channels to those of us that love the craft. Look forward to ur videos because you always manage to spark my engine to get back to it. Thank you SO MUCH for the time you give us VIVMOM!!
I agree about the love of sewing. It is my sanctuary. I’ve been sewing since I was a child and saw my Gram make dresses out of printed feed bags. I cut the foot off of a sock and slid the brand new dress right up on my Barbie doll and I was hooked. I’ve made everything you could imagine. The fun never ends. Thanks Vivmom for the fun videos.
I give you so much credit for homeschooling your children. It's apparent your family is very bonded. It's a pleasure to watch. Loved your fabric and patterns. Looking forward to seeing what you do with them. Please keep making these videos. They are so uplifting.
Yaay, Colin! I live on a wee tropical island. Men here sew because, you know, you need sails for your boat, tote bags, seat cushions for your boat, costumes for carnival and OH , YEAH, they like to wear clothes! But good for Colin for liking fabric even if he doesn't (YET?) sew. :-)
Congratulations, Colin!!! 👏👏👏 Would love to hear his plans for college - I know he has a very bright future ahead! Enjoy your trip to the Outer Banks, Colin! As he is moving into a new phase, I know you are too. I remember those days. Our two girls finished high school in 1992 and 1995, so it’s been a while. Moving our older daughter off to Texas A&M (we’re in north Texas, the Dallas area) was actually more difficult than giving her away in marriage 5 years later. I guess it was that very first letting go. Passages. It’s so wonderful that we have the Lord to help us as we walk through all the changes in life! Bless you! Thank you for sharing your beautiful family with us!
You are SO right-I've always felt that sewing was "my friend!"! I can't believe you said that- wanted to reach through that screen and high five you! Congratulations on your home schooling career with your children. It's obvious you've done a great job with them; they seem like great kids.
Thank you for your words at the end! It is so true that sewing is a comfort during stressful times. My husband was recently diagnosed with cancer and is now going through chemo. At first I was frozen by anxiety but I slowly picked up some sewing projects and found it to be very helpful in getting my mind off of the bad news for awhile. Plus I have some new clothes, kitchen accessories and a quilt is nearing finish. I love the blouse you’re wearing and your pattern shares are very helpful. Congrats to Colin and to you for your dedication to home schooling.
Hi Viv, I'm in The U.K. I gave up sewing about 10 years ago & had some thoughts of returning to sewing. I came apron your videos one day & thought you were so enthusiastic & inspirational, that I now have sewing back in my life. Thank you so much for giving me back my SEWJO! xx
Congratulations on completing your 20-years home-schooling career! What a start in life you've given your children! "Sewing waits for us" - it qualifies as my mantra. I shall stop fretting over sewing not done knowing that my sewing will wait for me! Happy sewing!
Thanks for this sweet message, Kerstin.💕And yes - no more fretting. Life intrudes all the time on our hobbies and free time. It’ll all be there when you get a breather.
Aww, yes, I agree with you! Sewing soothes my soul and refreshes me. I appreciate that I have online “friends” such as you to have fun seeing your fabrics, patterns and monthly makes. When I sew, I am alone, but when watching you, I am enjoying your company and having a nice chat with a friend. Sewing has helped me get through many changes, it’s a good thing!
Yes Sewing does wait for you! It waited for me, and it definitely sooths my soul! Going through a bad car accident, loss of my job, and an end to a 30-yr marriage but it's always there when i want to enjoy creativity and get my mind off things! You are absolutely right!
Congratulations to Colin! And big congrats to you, Viv! I homeschooled my 3 children all the way K-12 and I remember the struggles and heartaches but also the joy and happiness of these years. Looking back, glad we did it... but it was tough! I celebrated big time when we were done! They all went on to college. My greatest moment was this last Christmas when my 30 years old son said thank you to us for the wonderful childhood he had, the great values instilled in him and the tools given to him to be successful in life. Yes! How sweet the sound!!! I am sure you’ll get that feedback in a few years from Colin!!! So big big congrats to you! You did it!!! Now go sew and buy fabric. You deserve it. I enjoy your videos and your pretty smile. Thank you for the time you put into it. XO
I,m 73 and you encouraged me to start sewing again. I decided to go back to wearing some simple dresses.I would love it if you had a little fashion show like about 10 patterns that you think would be great for a beginner. Thank you so much for all your encouragement. I love all your videos. Your family is so supportive. How lucky you are.
Go Barbara Anne!! That’s fantastic that you’ve returned to sewing. I can give you some cute, simple dress ideas right here!🌺 (None of these require closures like zips or buttons): New Look 6352 (wovens) New Look 6340 (wovens) New Look 6449 (knit pullover dress, I have a construction video up about this one) Simplicity 8640 (wovens, nice in linen) Simplicity 8332 (wovens, I’ve made it 4 times!) Back in the day we called wide leg pants bell bottoms. I love them, so comfortable, and believe it or not slimming. Best of all so easy to make. I am so glad to see them coming back.
What a fabulous haul! A skort - thank you for sharing that pattern. I have a skort I purchased at Walmart years ago and want to make one and have been searching for a pattern - BINGO! next sale that one is mine. Congratulations on the successful raising and educating of those beautful kids! You ROCK!!
Great minds think alike. I actually have two fabrics that you showed. One of them is the techno print (shirt for Colin). I love it. Making a top. Which by the way was my first online fabric purchase thanks to you. Which by the way I started sewing again thanks to you. Sewing is very patient. It waited many years for me.
Sewing IS patient, Jean. It waited many years for me, too, and welcomed me back with open arms. Hey, glad you like the fabrics from FFC! Sometimes they’re a gamble because of the less-than-stellar photos, but I like a challenge. I’ve pulled things out of the package and thought: hmmmm!!! But then I sew them up and wear them. Every time. There’s just something about them...😄
You're right about sewing as a way to self soothe. Go to the machine and receive the calming comfort of creating something useful and beautiful. Really love your videos!
Oh Vivi....you brought tears to my eyes at the end. Sewing has indeed waited for me many times throughout various seasons of my life. I'm glad you have that too. Love the pretty fabrics and patterns you bought and the many ideas you inspired in me.
Thank you for the sewing inspiration that you give to me with each new podcast! After watching I feel I can make anything. Keep doing what you are doing.
I homeschool my children as well. I have one graduating next year and then my last one the year after that! No wonder I like your style! My 17 year old son asks me all the time to to taper/sew his pants in. Thx for all your videos!
Thanks, deech! Congrats to you for home schooling your children. It isn’t for everyone, but when it feels right for your family, it’s wonderful.👍Oh yes...taking in the legs on pants for Colin is essential!!
Congrats to your son Colin on his HS graduation & turning 18. Also cool that he picks out some fabric with ideas of what it could become. I look forward to your channel every week.
I love your videos, Viv! It's so great that your son appreciates fabric and it's potential! When my son (now an adult) was a toddler, he'd start to cry when I'd park in front of a fabric store. "No, mommy! Not da fabwick pwace!" Lol! 😉❣️
Congratulations Collin on turning 18, graduating from high school, and your upcoming trip to the Outer Banks!! Wow 20 years Viv, I truly am impressed. Love all the fabrics, can't wait to see what you do with them!! .......and yes, sewing always waits! Love that line..made me actually tear up.😊
Massive congratulations to Colin; I’ll pray all goes well for his trip!!! Also a massive congratulations to you for finishing a successful 20 year project!!! I’m pretty sure I’m not the only person who went through a bit of an identity crisis after my youngest graduated. I think that’s because homeschooling can be so all encompassing and demanding at times that it almost felt as if it was a part of who I was. I’m so happy you have sewing and a channel with thousands of lovely followers to encourage you as you transition into non-homeschooling life again. I’m so happy to see your channel doing so well. I know that your viewership has taken off because of your generosity of spirit in sharing what you know and in the process you’ve been a great encouragement to others. I pray God will continue to bless you both!!!
Hi Viv! Love your video, as always so inspiring. Colin is just too adorable! You have such a beautiful, loving family!😊 Yes, yes, yes to the sew along for those pants. I think it will be fabulous!👍❤
Just found your videos a few days ago and have been "binge watching." I really enjoy them with your ideas, pattern reviews and seeing the fabrics that you have purchased. I just bought some fabric (80% cotton, 20% poly--or at least that is what was marked on the bolt at JoAnn's) to make a kimono style jacket for myself. It has turned out to be a "PIA". But I am determined to win this contest. Between my stabilizing tape and wax paper, I am giving it a good fight. I have sewn clothes for my two girls for years, then gave it up when they left for college--then married and moved away. I am now retired and doing some baby quilts, lap quilts, and now after finding your videos and a few others, starting to get interested in sewing items for myself again. You are a delight to watch. You are funny and uplifting and I enjoy your laughter. At any rate, you have helped to inspire me and I thank you for that. Keep them coming. (From Alabama, your new friend, Pat) P.S. I was not aware of all the discounts and special prices on patterns at Hobby Lobby, JoAnns and Walmart. Thanks for the heads up. We have all three stores where I live and I plan to check them out thoroughtly...
My kids grew up too , and I find sewing as new activity for me to keep me busy and happy. You are right about it. You inspired me to sew more and do not give up if something going wrong. I am waiting video about pants.
Happy sort-of-retirement. What a lovely sentiment about sewing waiting for you! I've never thought of it that way but you're so right and isn't that wonderful! Thanks for pointing it out.
Viv, I'm the crazy lady that told you I couldn't stand to watch you. But that was just me. Something about your mannerisms got on my nerves! Anyway, I was drawn to your May vlog and decided give you another try. Enjoyed it and watched another one and now this one. And I have really enjoyed all 3 esp one with your hubby and son modeling what you had made them. I I must have just been goin thru some crazy phase. Congrats to Colin! And when you showed those wild Palazzo pants I just started laughing. I just made a pair with simplicity 8389! I used some old fabric someone gave me few yrs ago, and the print and colors are wild! Wish I knew how to send you a pic. By the way, love the top, when you stand up really shows off your cute figure. Really cool fabrics and patterns. I've never felt confident about ordering fabrics online but there's not much choice here with apparel fabrics. Mostly quilting stuff and the prices you pay, WOW! I need to get in on that!
Just loving the chat as well today...when I sew , anything that was a problem or concern vanishes , as my mind is continually in a creative mode. Then add some good old music....heavenly! It’s so nice to see how you love the fabric , patterns and your ideas are inspiring too.Happy sewing! Happy Birthday to your son and congratulations on graduating!
Hi Viv, love the wide leg pants. Congratulations to Colin on his graduation. Our passion for sewing is always there when we're ready to pick it up again. Thanks for sharing great videos. Val🇨🇦🇬🇧❤️
Congratulations Colin for graduating and Happy Birthday for turning 18!! Viv, I loved all your fabrics and patterns and congrats to you for home schooling your son....I’m sure you and your hubby are so very proud!!
I know what you mean about seeing being good for the soul. I've made craft items for friends and it's so rewarding to see the appreciation on their face when you give that gift to them. But when I finish a garment for myself it is so self satisfying. Love your videos Vivmom, I'm living in the UK and you make me feel less homesick for the US. I love your attitude towards life. God bless.
The struggle IS real. I’m 10 years into the personal tropical moments. Colin is just too darn cute and you are not broad. Love the top you are wearing.
I am making shirts for my husband due to your inspiration! He loves it. We’ve been married almost 49 years, and I have never sewn for him. I was also tired of purchasing patterns I already own (I have 100’s). So I listed them numerically on large colored index cards and carry them in my purse. I have wide columns to add the new buys! Works great! I color code them; Simplicity is green, Butterick is blue, McCalls yellow, Vogue is orange, etc. Some of the others brands share the same color. I so much look forward to your videos! Linda from Washington State.
Hi Vivmom, What a charming son! Congratulations Collin! Great video. I sew almost every day and I love making things. Thank you for sharing, take care and bless you, Chris-Raleigh NC
Congrats to Colin and to you and your husband! My husband and I are raising our 17-year-old grandson. We sort of “obtained” him two years ago. It’s a lot of work especially since we are in our sixties. Wouldn’t change a thing though...we love him. Anyway..getting back on topic-I have made one Amazing Design dress and it is so ugly and awful..lol...I am about to cut it up to make a baby dress for my great niece. So...I am glad you mentioned sewing as soothing to the soul. It is for me too. A life change for me happened two months ago when my eldest son and his wife moved to Texas. I started garment sewing (again..used to then went to quilting). I have been watching your videos, Sewing at Midnight and TomKat Stitchery. You ladies have been inspiring. I am into making a capsule wardrobe at the moment and so far I LOVE EVERYTHING I have made. Minus the ugly dress of course.
Really enjoyed your fabric and patterns haul🥰🥰 Colin was super cool😎😎 I think he looks like a young handsome version of Brad...😊you must be so proud of him and your whole family for that matter,. Was reading the comments and someone said you look like Barbara Eden :-) I have to agree. Very pretty!!
I really like the boarder print. Congratulations on homeschooling all those years! And I totally agree with you, sewing just waits and when the time is right, you go for it!! I enjoyed seeing all your fabric. I'm thinking that I just might try those "wild" pants! Lol
Was so excited to see your newest video. Congratulations to your son and a job well done to you. Always wonderful to hear young adults going on church trips. I always think of you when I’m buying patterns and have to laugh when we end up with the same ones. Can’t wait to see the pants
I salute you ladies who home school your kids and get them through graduation! I’ve always worked outside the home so I was never able to do that with my son. He still turned out great, he’s 35 now and is an Iraq war veteran. I had to put sewing on the back burner for several years, but I’m back to it full throttle. As I had mentioned in comments on a previous video of yours, I flip flop from sewing clothing and quilting. Before my son was born though I used to sew all my husband’s button up shirts for work. He loved wild and colorful Hawaiian prints. I used to have an assembly line going with 5 or 6 going at one time. Then the company he worked for went to all flame retardant blue clothing (boring) and he couldn’t wear the Hawaiian prints any longer. So I got out of sewing until these last few years. I just finished 2 quilts and am planning a couple more and some tops and dresses with new patterns I bought at the last Hobby Lobby sale. Your videos keep me motivated to start and finish my projects. Thank you so much.
Okay! I have been wanting to make wide leg pants for a few years now. Haven't done it because I thought nobody liked them. I'm sure I have some crazy enough fabric, but maybe not enough. I will check into that. So fun to see Colin! I didn't know he had long hair -- it looks short. Still love him though! I really like the blouse you are wearing in this video. I may try that one for myself. They ALWAYS look way better on you than they do on the pattern cover.
You have an awesome son Vivmom and I know you’re proud of him! Congrats, Colin, on your graduation and I love the fact that you’re going on a church group trip.
Love the blouse. Congratulations, Colin. Techno fabric would make a Colin shirt, and flannel plaid would be a great Brad shirt. Can't wait to see what you do with all the fabric.
Congratulations to Colin, you and Brad! It's cool that Colin is secure enough in himself to take part in something that he enjoys. It appears that two of you have raised a wonderful young man. :) I love your fabric and pattern choices--as usual, lol. That Simplicity top looks great on you, btw. I have the same one and plan to make up one of the versions in a few weeks from now. I hope it looks good on me. Have a great week, Viv! Thanks for another fun video!
Congratulations to you and Colin for his graduation! My youngest granddaughter "promotes " from 8th grade today! She will be joining her older brother and sister at high school in September. Love all the fabric! And of course, love the patterns. Yes to wide leg pants making! As with you, sewing is my happy place...most of the time! And yes, it is always there waiting for my return. Waiting to reward me with kudos for a job well done! Always encouraging to try something new. So excited you posted today. And love the blouse. Going to try to sew a couple before I go to Hawaii in 3 weeks. Looking forward to your next video! 😊
Hi Viv! I’m so glad that I stumbled upon your channel I’ve loved every minute of it I think you’re a sweet lady and I’ve enjoyed every video I’ve watched. I too have an 18-year-old boy that has just graduated & can’t wait to see what these young men accomplish. I haven’t sewn much in the last several years. looking forward to getting back into it and you have inspired me to do that. Thank you.
Yes i would definitely enjoy watching you sew those pants. I will looking thru my fabrics and patterns and sew with you ❤️ love love your videos i have mentioned before. Congratulations 🎉 Collin hope you have an amazing time at the 🌊. Thank u Vivmon for sharing all the goodies of sewing 🤗
I love all your videos, but this one is my favorite! It was wonderful to see your son's quiet enthusiasm. Also, I am hoping that I can learn from you on how to buy fabric on-line because you definitely know what you are doing there - great choices. Lastly, your comments about moving on to new stages in life hit home and brought a tear actually. Some of my recent changes have been very tough but there are so many great gifts remaining, including sewing and your videos. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.
You are so right about sewing will wait for you. Sewing has also been a stress reducer for me and so fulfilling when creating something new. When life changes happen sewing is there for you. Congratulations to your son on his graduation. That is so great he is interested in fabric to turn it into something to wear. Enjoy your videos and look forward to them.
Congratulations to Colin!! What a nice looking young man. All the best for your future endeavours Colin👍👍 Viv, great selection of fabric and patterns as always. 💕🌹
That's amazing, my children won't go near fabric just because I do -- the old parent separation syndrome. A bandana out of the horse fabric will be lovely but the pattern is large enough it may be difficult to show it off in such a small make. A pair of shorts sounds like the way to go. I like the red & black square viscose fabric. Not sure what I'd make with it but it's a fun design. If Collin likes it, great! My daughter when growing up use to pick out the most unusual fabrics, ones that I would question. But after making them up they were awesome! So designer rich. Those designer pants look like their out of African prints. It is such a sixties look, which I'm not so excited about but it was all about comfort (the momo dresses, wide legged pants and double knit fabrics for fit) which I'm all for.
Hi Viv, I love your videos, you're so fun to watch. And when your family joins you it is even more special. My 8 year old daughter would love the horse fabric. Happy sewing!
I am 76 years young and recently subscribed to your youtube .Well you have really enspired me i am waiting for patterns and fabric to arrive so i can get cracking thanks so much x
Your Son is adorable. And I think the 🐎 would make great shorts too. "But bandanas it is" as you say .lol. I love the border print. Rayon challie . I'm a plus size girl but that's what I was thinking I'd make a midi sun 👗 love watching you.
Hey Viv, that horse fabric is very pretty! Nice to see your son on screen. Congratulations to Colin's graduation. I have just traced off some palazzo style pants myself, I look forward to watching your construction video x
Love all your buys. I'm always amazed at your fabric sale prices! Colin's cameo was super cute...but don't tell him I said that..my lads would kill me for describing them as cute haha! Congrats on the birthday and graduation!
I just love watching your videos! Your top is cute...you look beautiful. You get me inspired to get back into sewing. Congratulations to your Colin! I think it so fun that he likes fabric...you’ve taught him well. Cheers!
Congratulations, Colin on your graduation! And happy birthday! It's cool to see you picking some awesome fabrics, too! I was inspired to look for an old pattern that I have - but only part of it was in the envelope. I got on ebay and *found* it! Don't know if I would have done that without all your stories of finding good stuff there! Thanks! I have that pattern you are wearing, and am so glad. It looks good on you! I've been thinking of you sewing while I have been lately. It's fun! Thanks for showing us your great hauls of patterns and fabric. Hugs!
I like that. "Sewing waits for you." Congratulations, Colin. Enjoy your Senior trip. I love that he is fabric aware. He picked out a good one, that's for sure. I couldn't tell he had long hair, but the bandana should be great. Love your pics and look forward to the makes; especially those wide leg pants. Would you piece (quilt) the fabric or try to find something that already looks like that. I'm not up on the latest available. Either would be fun. Thanks for posting.
OH goodness, the last comments of this video really go to me. I have one more year with my Son until he graduates high school. Changes have already started...summer job, car, and a sweet girlfriend. He is my only one and I had him at 40! I already miss him! But I know that this is how life is suppose to go and I am so proud of him. I have my hobbies waiting for me...quilts, rug punching, etc... That is a nice thought about sewing is waiting for me and will be there when I need it! Hugs!!!
I’m making up for lost time!!😂
I did see your video on the benefits of sewing. I am doing so great, had hydrocephalus building up for the last 40 yrs. God is my victor.
God is good all the time, and all the time God is good!!! So happy for you, Carole.
It will be there for you when you’re ready. Thanks so much for writing.
Thanks for always moving along.
Love your sense of adventure!
First time viewer. Makes me wants to start fashion sewing again. I am a quilter now for 17 years. Back in the day (60’s) I made a lot of my clothes.
Hi Linda, welcome! My sister quilts and I sew garments, and we joke that one thing we DO share is an adoration of fabrics. You quilt and sew garments, and my hat is off. Huzzah!!

Colin has discovered that he can stand out and be distinct by choosing his own fabric. Fantastic. Self expression is everything. Well done.
Would love to hear his plans for college - I know he has a very bright future ahead!
Congratulations to Collin! Yes to a pants sew along!! Love all the fabrics.
Wow your son reminds me of a young Leonardo Decaprio! What a wonderful family you have! Your son has good taste. God bless all of you! Mary from Ohio
I can give you some cute, simple dress ideas right here!🌺

Back in the day we called wide leg pants bell bottoms.
Crazy Pants? ABSOLUTELY ! ! You could do a video to sew potato sacks and we all would chime in. You put the happy buzz into our sewing.
Oh Vivi....you brought tears to my eyes at the end. Sewing has indeed waited for me many times throughout various seasons of my life. I'm glad you have that too. Love the pretty fabrics and patterns you bought and the many ideas you inspired in me.
When you say what you are planning on sewing with your fabric hauls, I can see it. I want to go shopping and buy fabric, now! Yay! Thank you!💞💞💞
I So enjoy watching you and your nice family! I love the 60's also and all of your fabrics you talk about.❤️💜❤️
Thank you for the sewing inspiration that you give to me with each new podcast! After watching I feel I can make anything. Keep doing what you are doing.
Yes to the wide leg pants. Congratulations on raising a wonderful son.
Your son is charming! Sharing the love of sewing is awesome, roll on the sewalong!
Love that line..made me actually tear up.😊
Congrats to your son! Congrats to you, for your success at home schooling. What a wonderful transition in life, sewing.
What a sweet message, Nadine, thank you!!💕
Love! Love! Love! Congratulations Colin on your graduation and happy birthday! Blessings Viv as you enter this new adventure of your life. Sew on!
Also ... YES!!! great idea about making the designer trousers !! xxx
All right, let’s do it!!👍
My kids grew up too , and I find sewing as new activity for me to keep me busy and happy. You are right about it. You inspired me to sew more and do not give up if something going wrong. I am waiting video about pants.
Miss you guys! Thanks for putting your video together! Love seeing your videos! It's like "You Got Mail" when you put out your video. So exciting!
Happy sort-of-retirement. What a lovely sentiment about sewing waiting for you! I've never thought of it that way but you're so right and isn't that wonderful! Thanks for pointing it out.
The print in the blouse you are wearing balances you beautifully. It's quite stunning on you, actually.
Val🇨🇦🇬🇧❤️
I couldn’t agree more, Val. And thanks!!💕
Love! This Virginia-raised gal here loves those wild horses and your lovely son. Well done both of you!
Why thank you, Carol!😄💕
Congratulations Colin for graduating and Happy Birthday for turning 18!! Viv, I loved all your fabrics and patterns and congrats to you for home schooling your son....I’m sure you and your hubby are so very proud!!
Congrats on your great job with Colin and congrats to Colin on his graduation!!!
God bless.
Congratulations on the graduation. Yes sewing is like an old friend always there for us.
Thank you Viv. I ALWAYS ENJOY your videos and your Encouraging Words! Happy Sewing!
Hi Vivmom, What a charming son! Congratulations Collin! Great video. I sew almost every day and I love making things. Thank you for sharing, take care and bless you, Chris-Raleigh NC
Congratulations to your son, Colin! I love that he likes fabric!! Fun video. I look forward to seeing your version of the pants. 😊
I will be praying for your Son's trip and LOVE the horse print awesome👍💕
You are so much fun! I enjoy your “visits” immensely and am inspired.
OH My Gosh, Colin looks so much like my Grandson Tyler, who is 21! He even smiles like him. Such a good looking guy. I like your top and fabrics.
Great video! I really enjoy your channel. You hit the nail on the head with how sewing waits for us, and the hot flashes lasting for years!!
I love your fabric and pattern choices--as usual, lol. That Simplicity top looks great on you, btw. I have the same one and plan to make up one of the versions in a few weeks from now. I hope it looks good on me.
Have a great week, Viv! Thanks for another fun video!
Wow, 20 years home schooling! You deserve to sew, sew, sew. Love the videos and like the wide pant idea! Congrats to Colin and to you.
How well said!! sewing does wait for us. love that. and love your videos. looking forward to those wild britches!!!
What a sweet young man! You did a great joy with him.
Bless you, Linda, and thanks!!💕
100% True. Sewing gives me company and it stretches the imagination and keeps us dreaming. Thank you for your inspiration.
Yay Janet!! I am so happy you wrote to me, gives me such a lift. Do let us know what you’re sewing.😄👍
Your Son is adorable. And I think the 🐎 would make great shorts too. "But bandanas it is" as you say .lol. I love the border print. Rayon challie . I'm a plus size girl but that's what I was thinking I'd make a midi sun 👗 love watching you.
The black diamond chambray is gorgeous. It will be beautiful made into a shirt. Nice haul!
Cheers!
I was missing not seeing you, so when I saw this pop-up I was soooo happy. I can't wait to see all the fabulous stuff you make!!!!
Hugs!
"sewing waits for you" … I LOVE that!
Hugs!!!
What a lovely young man you and your husband have brought into adulthood. I love your videos. You are so inspirational! Thank you!
Congrats to Collin!!! Looking forward to the wide leg pants make!! ❤️
