Hi there!! I came here from the #ProjectClovis. My favorite dog breed is the corgi and my favorite saint is St. Alexandra of Russia, passionbearer. She is venerated in the Orthodox Church and is known as the patron saint of converts.
@@HistoryandHeadlines I am a recent convert first Catholic in my family for like 500 years. But luckily being from the south hunting with hounds is engrained
Dog: probably corgi. We had a Pembroke Corgi when I was a kid. Very friendly, and was sad to see him go. Saint: **shrug** I was Lutheran (but never confirmed), then Baha'i (though never officially joined), then nonreligious, so I never had reason to learn much about the saints. (EDIT: corrected ytpo)
Hi there, perhaps you can study more about the Amazing Catholic Saints. God will guide you to the truth. Time is short and hell is real. .God Bless Take care
I like collies (the lassie variety) best but am also very fond of goldens and middle sized mutts with noses of similar size to goldens and collies. As for saints, I'm agnostic there.
My favourite dog breed is Alaskan malamute and my favourite saint is Faustina Kowalska but I like all saints and all dogs... ;) I also study animal science...
Favorite dog breed: Black and Tan Coonhound (also a descendant of the St. Hubert Hound) Favorite Saint: If I had to pick, it would be between St. Patrick and St. Columba. That being said, I find it hard to venerate a “saint” instead of Jesus Christ and continue in good conscience. Firstly, I find many aspects of most stories to be somewhat contradictory to the message of the Gospel. An example of that in this video would be where God tells Hubert that he must live a holy life or go to hell. I know that we must pick up our cross and follow Christ. But I also know that we are saved by Grace. If our works were truly good enough to get us to heaven, there would have been no need for Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. The man was grieved by the death of his wife. Many times in those days, the child was blamed, and even believed to be cursed because of it. He abandoned his son and used hunting as an escape and excuse. Not much different than how people use drugs. And after God told him to change his ways, what does he do? He still abandons his son by joining a monastery and has his brother raise him. From the knowledge I have, I can not imagine that God would agree that this was the correct answer. - That is my religious perspective. My historical perspective and understanding of the wickedness of human nature sees many other red flags in this story as well. - The second main point is the fact that the title of “Bishop” was hereditary. Knowing what we know from monarchs, one King could be a just King, while his son could (and did more often than not) turn out to be the opposite. That is just as likely in Church hierarchy, only there is more motivation to hide it. And knowing what we know about Scottish Presbyterianism, this was a huge factor in the founding thereof. Lastly, I find it suspicious that many of these “saints” were of Nobility. I don’t believe it’s statistically possible for this to be a coincidence. To me, it seems evident that there were ulterior motives in canonization. I do not doubt the power of God. But I do doubt the trustworthiness of mankind. And that is why I do not venerate the saints.
I really love Dobermans. My grandfaher had some Dobermans, and Rex was very patient with me. Many and many times, I set down on Rex and it carried me, and, I let it bit my hands and forearms, what Rex did with so much care. Dobermans are loyal, smart, quick and very Beautiful, too.
@@HistoryandHeadlines I love it. It’s an herbal liquor that’s been made in Germany since the early 20s I believe. It’s made with a variety of 56 different herbs and botanicals and has a taste rather like licorice, ginger, maybe a touch of mint.
Great video Zar! I think you have a great narrator's voice. Have you thought about improving the video's quality production? I've seen a few of your videos and I think you would be able to reach many more people with only a few improvements, like for example having a mic at your jacket when you're in front of the camera. :)
Well, I'm wondering if I would be better off just not having the on-camera portions? I notice most of the videos in the playlist do not have the narrators appear on camera at all. Were you okay with the off-camera narration audio, i.e. were you only concerned about the on-camera audio?
My favorite dog breed is pitbulls, bulldogs, and huskies. Pits and bullies are given such a bad wrap because people abused their breed and made them into fighting dogs and made them mean. Its not the breed its the people who raised them to be that way. I have an english and french bulldog mix and shes my gentle giant, i also have a husky and pitbull mix who is scared of everything and is such a baby. As for a favorite saint, I do not have one as I am not religious nor am i a christian.

I cannot find a decent book on this GREAT Saint. Good job on this quick little history lesson. Thank you.

I don't honestly know why the person running the collaboration chose the title, but as a guess, maybe because it is shorter?

So he’s the patron saint of hunting, yet he got revelation from God on the evil of what he was doing?
