You get it! This is how Beyonce makes us feel. The songs are great but the intricacies and messages between the line is so empowering and meaningful.
Before this Beyoncé hadn't addressed the illuminati rumours nor any cultural references in her songs. She also didn't address any of the police brutality stuff. She expressed it all and more in this video. Was so cool
Your emotional response to this was genuine. I felt that. As a Black woman, it was so amazing to see and hear the video. It was a celebration of our culture. It was political. It was a call to action in a sense. Honestly I think that Lemonade was her best visual.
Until she decides to bless us with Renaissance visuals. 🤣🤣
Right?!?! I have confidence that she can top herself! (Although, I definitely need to see more of the Lemonade album.)
@GL Fer She's a black woman. She relates to the culture expressed in the video. Nothing wrong with it.
@GL Fer people like you who get uncomfortable at the very mention of race need to be studied.
@@glfer8586you’re a weirdo.
AS A BLACK WOMAN!!
Warms my heart to see people open their hearts and minds to something they wouldn’t otherwise experience. Beyoncé has a lot to say - not only in her music, but a lot of the time specifically in her visuals - and I think you caught a glimpse of it. Thank you for sharing your genuine, emotional reaction to that. Bey can be fun, she can be pop, she can be dancey, but too often her narrative is discredited. I’m glad you got to live in it for a moment. :) I can see many have already suggested it, but I’d recommend watching the Lemonade film. It’s quite a ride. :)
I’m so glad you actually listened to her message. I think that most people tend to just listen to the song and not experience the message. that’s why I LOVE beyonce. She always has an intention with her music. It always has a story. I’d love too see your reaction to the Lemonade film she did or Black is king. You got a new subscriber here! That actually made me emotional seeing that you also saw the impact of the message!!
Thank you so much!
this was a beautiful reaction ❤️ Beyoncé is a brave artist. for her to be as big of a celebrity as she is and not be afraid to speak up about issues is so commendable. she performed this song for the first time at the 2016 Super bowl ONE day after releasing it, and she had the dancers dress as the Black Panthers…very brave to be that political at such a huge event! she got a lot of backlash from racists for it, it was crazy! but i’m glad she never let that stop her from speaking up, she still does til this day!
Oh, awesome, I'll have to check out that video of the superbowl performance. (I think I'm going to have to do another Beyoncé week soon!)
@@oldladybangers yesss you should definitely check that superbowl halftime show out. its the one with Bruno mars. superbowl 50
In tears right now at work watching
the little boy dancing and it saying stop shooting us and the cops with their hands up….. Gets me every time
You are literally SO ME !!! Her art makes me emotional all the time
You're so mother for this
Is that a compliment? :)
@Old Lady Bangers yes!!! Calling someone mother is like the highest compliment.
The visual album I love from Beyoncé is her Black is King album ( Lion King / Disney) . It’s a must watch. Beautiful.
Not this reaction making me emotional! This and what she did with the rest of Lemonade was just incredible. Hope you'll dive more into it!
Definitely!
Beyonce is amazing and Lemonade as a whole is my fave Beyonce album ,it was so therapeutic for me and I’ve listened to it countless times lol
Love this genuine reaction. I think this is why Beyoncé does what she does. 💛
That last scene, drowning, like what the people in New Orleans (her mother’s place of birth) during hurricane Katrina 😢
Not me crying with you haha
Beautiful reaction, I hope your channel grows a lot ❤️
Thank you so much!!
FIrst time I saw Formation I watched it about 100 times in a row and I became a bey fan.
Awww you brought me to tears watching your reaction. I love how you appreciated what the meaning of the song is. I have been a Beyoncé since 1998. Thanks for your reaction videos on her. You definitely earned a subscriber in me!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it. It's an incredible song and video.
Indeed!
As a Beyoncé fan I appreciate ur tears❤ This is an evolved Beyoncé but the evolution for me happens in that self titled album “smash into U” and “satellite”
Those songs are from I am Sasha fierce-Album
I love your reaction. This is by far my favorite Beyoncé song and video. ❤
Thank you! I was surprisingly emotional about it!
I love Beyoncé…
She is a true Music Queen
Absolutely!
I had the same reaction, I just heard this song and watched the official video for the first time tonight and it brought tears to my eyes, so so so so creative and brilliant
Definitely recommend reacting to the entire Lemonade film. This song and video is just part of a much bigger story
What I always liked about this video is there's this touch of Southern Gothic to it - it's a celebration of Black culture, but there's always this undercurrent of the crises that have rocked the South in the last 20 years. I get that feeling with the "Sorry" video too.
Yes, it's a bit like Childish Gambino's This Is America. You have to keep watching it to see everything in it. And then think hard about the different interpretations and ideas that could come out of it. It's so so good.
Truth
You have a great heart, I love your reactions ❤
Thank you so much!!
The thing that’s separates Beyoncé with the other artists she stands for black community and is not afraid to step outside of her lane
I literally subscribed to your channel after watching this . Your reaction was so sincere ❤ and I appreciate that you are articulating/having a real critique.
Thank you so much!! This one took me by surprise for sure.
Me too!
So glad I found your channel. Loved the reaction. ❤❤❤❤
You deserve the best, love you and your reactions.. God bless! A fan from Brazil 🇧🇷🥰😊
Thanks so much!
What a great reaction! I'll be back for more!
Awww I loved this reaction ❤️
Thank you! It's a great video.
You are Such a Fresh Air. You speak so Well. I am shocked. First time I see you . I LOVE You. Stay blessed. I'm subscribing ❤
Thank you so much!
The video really does transcends the song.
You would TRULY enjoy the lemonade film!!!! It’s so powerful!! Please please please watch lemonade
Yep, it's definitely on the list!
Omg I’m crying with you!!! Tears are all over the place 😂❤️✊🏾✊🏾❤️❤️ thank you ❤️❤️❤️
You are SO COOL!!!!
Also recommended watching the entire Lemonade visual album, but especially Black is King. Black is King is *ART* and severely underrated. Even by the fandom.
Yes, several people have suggested I do the whole album. I'll see if I can figure out how to do it on here.
Your reaction made me cry!
I've cried at a few movies on my movie channel but I didn't expect to do it on here too!
His words were beautiful and sincere. Thank you for this reaction, you are wonderful ❤
Thanks so much for watching!
Love love love the humility and authenticity of your videos. Definitely subscribing. ❤️
Thank you so much!!
I was like waiting for the crying and thinking, where is the crying and when the song was over and she pretty much didn't have words and started crying. I was crying too. And this song will never make me cry. It feels so empowered to me that I just feel like a bad B. But this reaction make me cry.
THE QUEEN #BEYHIVE
More Beyoncé! I feel like I relate to you so much and she’s my favorite artist ever of all times…
Thanks for reacting to Beyoncé's music. To understand her talent best you should look at her Coachella performance. She was the first black female to headline and this song, Formation, was artfully arranged. People try to dismiss Beyoncé, but they fail to understand that performing live is what separates a good artist from a legendary artist. Michael Jackson vs Beyoncé as the GOAT is a legit question. The only name who may be added to this list is a young Korean man named Jungkook. These three have mastered the art of performance. There are better technical singers, but no greater live performers/vocalist.
Yes, lots of people have recommended the Coachella performance! I'll do that for sure when I do the next Beyoncé week soon.
I can’t believe I went to that concert! I still can’t believe!
Lucky! I'd love to see her in concert.
She makes me emotional also 🤗
Her songs “brown skin girl” And “spirit” and “ i was here” are all amazing songs. Every time i hear them, i cry. Two other great artists/ songs are Allen stone “consider me” and Chris Stapleton “sometimes i cry”.
I'll add them to the list!
@@oldladybangersyou should also listen to BIGGER if you have the time! The message is beautiful
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾beautiful reaction
THank you!
Love ur videos
So yes, I cried with you.♥
I highly highly highly recommend watching Beyonce's 2017 Grammy performance she was pregnant with twins when she did it and sounds unbelievable
I'll check it out!
this >>> ❤
I cried with you! Amazing review. ❤
Thank you so much!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ love your reaction. Do Lemonade its the visual album. You will definitely understand why she is one of the most important artist of today.
She's speaking some important truths here. And coming from her, hopefully more people will listen!
Specificity is exactly the right word. She has something to say with this and with Lemonade. She was no longer the Beyoncé that people thought of when they thought Beyoncé, ya know? She came into her own finally.
Definitely. I love this deeper stuff!
Lemonade is such an iconic album and she just proves time and time again that she isn't overrated, she's star rated.
Please listen to Steven Wilson - Pariah ft Ninet Tayeb ... but prepare the tissues.
I have the formation picture of Beyoncé on my crocs
On your crocs?! I might need to see a picture of that.
I felt the same way
im sure you’re getting tons of beyonce recs but imo you should totally react to her song i care!!! maybe even a live version. extremely powerful
i just discovered your channel you’re adorable ! sending you all the love from France ❤️
Thank you so much!
After watching the full Lemonade visual album, I would suggest watching Solange's When I Get Home visual album. It has a lot of strong themes in it as well.
i love yooouu!! watch the entire lemonade project!
Lots of people have requested that! I'll have to see if I can make it work.
YOU ARE A gem
Aw, thank you!
i treasure this video. it and the whole visual album for lemonade and black is king will make you cry too. IMO this video is a discussion about gossip, lies, sexism, black girl magic, confidence, black pride & empowerment, but also the embedded effects of slavery and how it translates to our everyday lives in present day.
That's a great way to say it! It is a video to be treasured.
i love that
Love Beyoncé!❤
Me too!
I'm crying too ❤ Cried even more the first time I heard 'Brown Skin Girl', still do every time I hear it ❤
Recommend reacting to Loreen 'Euphoria' and her latest 'Tattoo'. With Eurovision coming up it should get plenty of views to your wonderful channel ❤
I'll add them to the list!
Black is King is a must watch. Especially if you love the Lion King. She tells that story in such a beautiful and unique way. I hope you get to watch the while visual album
Thumbnail had me🤣🤭🤭🌹
Love n Light to You💯🌅🌌
💜Aww! All the love in this comment section is outstanding.
You absolutely need to check out her film/album Black is King from The Lion King! ❤ That whole film gave me chills
It's on the list!
I appreciate you! That’s all….. ❤️😊
Thank you so much!
you should do a reaction to Black Parade, also by Beyoncé, it is a powerful and masterful piece of art, I always say that Black Parade feels like a continuation of Formation, these two songs are FIRE and SOUL.
I'll add it to the list!
You should do album reviews of Bey, the singles dont cut it, you need the context of the album to truly understand and appreciate the music. great react tho!
Beyonce's Lion King movie is also phenomenal. You might have a hard picking your favorite visual though.
Hey, just bump into you and I instantly like you :) Subscribed done !
Aw, thanks!
If you liked that song look at the black is king album videos it’s so calming and uplifting
I'll check it out!
Shoutout to the legendary Melina Matsoukas. These are the type of reactions I hope to evoke from my work!
Oh, is that the video director? Thanks for calling that out! I'll need to remember her name.
@@oldladybangers Yes!
I love this reaction so much. IMO art should evoke a strong reaction albeit positive or negative. The fact that you felt so much listening/watching this just shows how powerful Beyoncé’s art is. ♥️
Yes, I had a surprisingly strong reaction!
If this made you emotional I highly recommend watching her music video for her song ‘Brown skin girl’🤎
I'll check it out!
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Please watch the whole Lemonade movie
I would love to watch you text to Christina Aguilera “Fall in line”
I'll add it to the list!
@@oldladybangers subscribed and can’t wait to see it + many more :)
I hope you will watch This is America by Childish Gambino
Somehow I saw that when it first came out. This very much reminded me of that!
BRAZIL 🇧🇷❤️
Have you seen the film CADILLAC RECORDS?
I believe this message was .
1. Katrina (started on top of the car and ended in the drowning.
2. Police brutality showing cops and children with "don't shoot us" sign on the wall.
3. She heard the criticism of her daughter Blue in regards to her hair and nose, hence the line of how proud she is of the afro and the big negro nose.
4. Asking women to get in formation to take back the power they have....I might be the next Bill Gates in a making.
That's all I got for now✌️❤️❤️ love ya
It's a great song and there's a lot there to dig into!
♥
Thank u sooo much for reviewing this song & visual. When u cried, I cried. Because this song means so much to so many of us. A call of action, if u will.
When u find the time, u should watch the entire Lemonade visual album. It is a visual/audible experience every woman can relate to. ✌🏾😚✨
Thanks for watching! Yeah, this one took my emotions by surprise.
PS listen to Madonna, Confessions on a Dancefloor. :)
I didn't think to do any Madonna on the channel since I know her older music so well (I am a child of the 80s after all). But that song I don't know yet.
@@oldladybangers its a whole album! and there is a non stop mix of it which is my fav. music, american life and ray of light are all top albums as well!
check her sis Solange out!! u will enjoy
Great idea!
Six months later I heard that Karp had died
And I dug right down to the bottom of my soul
And cried
'Cause I felt nothing
Well, if you're gonna quote Chorus Line, at least make it clear whether or not you're being sincere or sarcastic! :)
