You should make time once every 2 weeks to go over and mow your dad's yard, it's the least could do and it gives you an excuse to go see your parents. You have the equipment so it would be a piece of cake and make your dad proud :) 45 Minute drive? That's close compared to some people's parents, cherish that :)

That’s easy to say when it’s not you doing it, but Stets mowing lawns all day long every day. and I’m sure he’d like time away from it like we all do from work.
I’m all for helping family, I would do anything for my Mom, but I also know she takes care of her own business and doesn’t expect me to take over. Stets father has his own obligation to find a reliable landscaper and give him a job. I’m sure someone nearby would be happy to have a new client.
I agree twice a month is good to drive to see your dad. It’s your business so you can plan to take time off as you need. You won’t regret it and it will bring joy to your dads heart
im just a diy home lawncare guy, but thats exactly why im taking over my parents lawn. 30 min drive but im not going to have them much longer.
I think statistically most people in the US spend 90% of there time on earth with there parents from the age of birth to age 18, that only leaves 10% of the rest of there lives seeing there parents after age 18... really makes you think what your doing with your time.
That's an aggressive machine, I didn't expect that kind of performance.

I have the Toro 60v non commercial and it works great! I have gone to Battery everything for my personal lawn care; TORO mower and Milwaukee Blower and Quik connect tools.

I recently bought a "Ryobi" 36v self-propelled mower. 510mm deck, 6AH battery capacity, 36v. Easy to use, but same problem with limited battery life. Fortunately I have a small plot to cut. Works well. Also bought battery powered edger and blower. I had good petrol engined machines, but recently badly injured my "pulling arm" shoulder, hence the change to battery.
Impressive for an electric mower. Like you said I never really heard it bog down mowing that tall grass. Great video and thanks for sharing.
Been looking at going electric but my leaf blower (WORX) and weed eater (craftsman) wouldn’t do more than 1.5 lawns with 2 battery’s. I think I’m just going to wait for battery life to improve in a couple years. Toro makes great mowers.
Check out blades of grass lawn care UA-cam Channel, he uses the electric Husqvarna equipment and it seems to be they last quite a bit!
Those are two crappy brands. Ego for Blower and Trimmer, comes with charger and 2.5 battery. That will get the job done. Greenworks website for the mower and get an extra battery. Great deals right now. And I just did a massive property with my greenworks push mower. Love it
I agree it's your dad, I have customers I drive 30min to do their lawn care.
Toro is good and I love those but I like Honda

Interesting demonstration. Not much height for a month's growth but it is impressively green. Maybe they'll develop a way for a gas powered mower to charge a battery and then you can alternate between mowers without needing a flock of batteries.

Wow I’m actually really impressed with that Toro. From the video i didn’t hear it bogging down at all. That stuff was super tall and thick! Better than my low grade gas Toro push mower. Huge huge down side is the battery life sucks!!

I have a gas Recycler Toro too and it can mow knee-high grass at my cottage. It is self-propelled and also has a push starter along with the pull cord. Toro lasts forever and starts right away. I would not buy another brand other than Toro.

That really was impressive. I've use gas mowers that would have had more difficulties cutting through grass that tall and thick. What's Toro asking for one just like the one you used?

It's one thing to simply cut a jungle, it's another thing to mulch it down to nothing. Let's see that thing leave no trail of clippings behind and I'll be impressed.

Personal preference. I like being able to have more string so I can cut larger areas quicker. And I feel that the guard gets in the way when going around obstacles

I must say I have looked at the battery push mowers and have not been really impressed but this one wow it just was a work Horse and then some very impressed
How many Ah is that battery? 10? More? And what's the price of the setup (mower + battery)? This has to be the most powerful battery mower I've seen. It seems more powerful than even the EGO. Anyway, It's still way out of my price range. I'm sticking with my Honda HRX 537. I've just bought a new one for this season.
Engines need to be at high rpm to deliver high torque. That's why they bog down under load. Electric motors deliver high torque thru the whole rpm range. They don't bog down like engines, they use more electric power. If motor are sized correctly the only real issue is battery capacity. Engines run a long time on a similar volume of fuel. It's why train locomotives use diesel to run a generator and electric motors to make it move.

I have a toro 22297 which is a commercial 21 inch gas powered mower. It’s powered by the Kawasaki fj180vkai. It literally has the same deck as that battery powered mower except it’s gas powered. I noticed Toro mowers stripe a lot better than Honda commercial mowers.

Looks like any mower gas powered, instead of others that make cheap plastic.
I mean plastic is actually better. The deck doesnt end up eventually rusting out. Hell we got an old electric mower we use thats 15 years old which is of course plastic and its still holding up like day 1.
@@silvy7394 My 16 year old Toro with the steel deck isn't rusted at all. My Grandfather had a 40 year old Toro with no rust. Unless you're driving it through salt it's not going to rust, maybe a little surface rust at most.

I would never buy a electric mower. Like you said it only lasts 45 min per battery. And I can get an 1hr 30min-2hrs out of my gas mower on one tank of gas. Great video nan

That's pretty amazing . my son in law has the top of the line Stihl battery string trimmer and that thing will only last about ten minutes before having to change batteries .
Put the mulch plug in and it will definitely bog down. This is for well manicured lawn..Toro needs to bring the side shoot back

I can see testing the Toro by mowing a couple of rows and then using your riding mower to finish you dad's lawn. It surely would have saved a lot of your time to do another couple of yards.

You should use hearing protection, that gas powered equipment is really loud and can damage your ears fast, especially when you use it for multiple hours a day. Just buy a cheap pair of 20 dollar earmuffs and save your hearing.

Nice cut by a battery powered mower. Why is the gas meter so far in the yard? I watched you mow another property yesterday and the gas meter in the other video was near the privacy fence in the back. Are those meters natural gas or some other type of meter? My natural gas meter is within three feet of the end of my house here in #BiloxiMS. Just curious about those meters locations. Good video btw.
