I’ve owned my Q50 3.7 for 4 years and it still runs like a beaut. I bought it used at 73k KM and now its coasting around 184k KM and it still runs perfect! No issues, just regular maintenance. Still gives me a smile on my face when I’m on the highway 😄😄

I flash flooded my 2006 Altima with the 3.5 . And it somehow survived. It shut off for like 10ish seconds in the water then I was able to turn it on it again. I still have it and that incident happened like 2 years ago and no motor problems or any problems
Amazing cars ! 3.7 is the best tbh. If you switch in mid drive tho from drive to drive sport or manual mode & your not stationary… it can make the valve go out. I learned my lesson lol. Other then that just regular maintenance and it’s good bro 🙏
I own a 2015 3.7 I love it the only issue with these cars is the transmissions the valve body breaks I’m on my 4th transmission already under warranty of course
Had the valve body go out on my 2015 3.7 warranty covered majority of cost tho but other than that it’s the only problem I had with it. I currently have a 3.0t tho and definitely can say I’m enjoying that chit.

2019 Q50 RS tuned FBO , oil catch can AMS everything on my car ..and all I’m gonna say is I’ve owned a 3.7 2014 Premium and a 2016 Sport and yes I love my VHR but to be honest 3.0T is the way ..most of these people who bad mouth the VR really don’t know much about infiniti vehicles and are usually first time owners and go off hearsay…most of these IDIOTS who do own a VR don’t know how todo do proper maintenance like burning oil ..check fluids from time to time ..they get tuned and beat the living crap out the car …don’t do maintenance…run BS flame maps/Burple maps with CATS ..and on top of that really don’t know how to care for a TURBO vehicle …so yeah I love my 3.7 it was super reliable and fun to add some bolt on items and tune it but your capped unless you rebuild the motor as the head can’t take much strain and the transmission is not reliable ..every car has its issues but gradually you knock all those kink’s out ….and FYI as someone who knows infiniti cars since the G35 to now …we can all AGREE infiniti service techs are straight up retards ..I’ve seen people come in for belt replacement complaining about noise and end up getting everything else done and still have the issue happening ..so stop the BS with my friend is a tech BS

Do vhr q50’s cost less than vr’s?? The 7AT is great for what it is, but if you’re putting power down you need to build it past 450-500whp since it’s all aluminum.
how is the steering feel between the vr and the 3.7? I currently have an 08 G love the feel of the car but want updated tech and body. I heard the newer VR ditch the hydraulic steering for electric while the 3.7 keeps it.

Everyone says the 3.7s are slow but they keep up with just about everything on the road. If I line up with a scat pack I lose on acceleration but I will catch up and pass.

I have a q60 and I love this car and the VR30DDTT I haven't had no issues with it whatsoever I would say the only main issue would be just a serpentine belt which flies off after 20,000 mi or less depending on if your stock or on a tune but regardless, people still need to remember that turbos are an attachment to the motor. The motor is not bad We have to always change the turbos out just like everything else on a vehicle because it's an attachment
But overall I'm in deeply love with his vehicle and I do recommend people to buy it because remember the r35 GTR has it but the VR38DDTT baby GTR game if you know you know haters will just hate
If you watch boost in motion he Will actually tell you what’s the better car for ur power goals and tbh there both great motors I have a 3.0t and it’s been fine. At 65000 miles and I change my belts every year it’s not expensive, I can say the vr30 transmission is better then the vq, and also a na vq is a waste of money. Period if you want a cheap daily muffler delete and put miles on it u made the right choice but, sorry you can’t boost that car with that trans it will slip after like 450 tq. And a vr30 sounds way better then a vq. Especially with the turbo spool, and turbo intake sound ur tripping and bov😂 wrong af

As an owner of an awd redsport (2019) and I have a few friends with both 3.0, 3.7 and you'll probably grow tired of the 3.7
He’s got a turbo HR 350 it makes sense for his needs. Verdict is still out for the VR motors long term reliability.
Vr30s are great cars when modded I’m sure, but like he said I have a boosted z so I didn’t really need another fast car 💪
