A good way, not just for mewing but for improving your posture as well, is to separate a time of the day where you will totally focus on keeping your posture (or mewing) in place during the entire time, like 10 minutes straight or more, for example (you should increase the duration with time). This exercise teach your body what it feels like to be in the position from a prolonged period of time and makes you notice more easily when you're out of it. It's a tactic way more effective than mindlessly correcting yourself everytime you remember... Something that will only make you good at one thing: correcting rather than maintaining.
I will try that since I always correct myself when I have bad posture which isnt contributing that much to my posture health only the short period of time when I actually am aware of it. Thanks!🙏🏻

With the proper training reccomend by this channel & others along with awareness in a few weeks you'll be mewing correctly automatically as it's natural for your tongue to be in that position anyhow.

There is a TON of informations and tutorial about mewing FOR FREE, not only mewing will improve facial forward growth, when you are adults masseters hypertrophy, proper neck posture, nutrients, diets, exercises, MEWING is only ONE parameters of the equation, you have to maximize everything to get visible results AND IT TAKE YEARS!!!!! Discipline make drastic change!!
It was to late when I realized how much damage was done by having 3 right back teeth removed due to trauma. Not chewing on that side and “babying” my teeth has wrecked havoc on my breathing / ears/ health. Two years of Drs/specialist/periodontist etc etc. “ you’re fine” and I get a diagnosis form YT 🤷♀️ I’ve always practiced breathwork and mindfulness but somehow missed the connection with my teeth/tongue 😞
Exactly!!! Being mindful, practicing body awareness, and strengthening weak muscles (tongue, lips, cheeks, etc) is all anyone needs. I wouldn't think of using an outside source of ingredients in my mouth for 40 minutes a pop to make the process "easier."
You don't have to do myofunctional therapy or use myospots of course - I just think it's more effective than without. You can do mewing, improve your posture etc. I have lots of videos with exercises to help do this.

You can make improvements. It will be slow. My approach is accept where you are and do the daily exercises and mewing to make improvements, over time you will look better and better.

you can do something about the neck posture - I did. I went to physical therapy where they taught me several exercises (that are already on youtube). You have to be consistent and patient. It will take time and effort. My posture is straight now but it took a year and I consistently do the exercises to make the muscles stronger so that I can keep my back straight. It used to take so much effort to do and it got easier over time as I got stronger.

It does, but it's not AS effective since your facial bones stop growing around that time. It's still not fused, so you can still have significant changes, it just takes a lot longer.
The tongue should touch both the hard and soft palate. The back third of the tongue should be also touching the palate. This is more difficult to achieve but that's why I was saying using the myospot can help you do that.
Yes, the alternative I think would be to do some exercises from myofunctional therapy. I will be posting some to the channel soon that you can do. To do mewing, to improve your posture.

I mean you should not be. Because our ancestors had many things to do besides focusing on the tongue all the time and keep it pressed yet they had very healthy faces.
This question really depends on the person I think. For example, if you have had very good tongue posture and facial growth, then yes good posture would be enough to maintain that. If you want to improve your tongue posture further, then you would want to do a combination of both working on the tongue and tongue posture, and improving the body posture at the same time

Can someone please answer. I’m 15 years old and want to gain a better facial structure as I had many allergies when I was younger forcing me to mouth breathe. I just wanted to know if mewing can determine my full genetic facial structure. For example if I was a 6/10 now, if I mewed and nose breathed can I become a 10/10?, or is it too late as mouth breathing has set me back. Mewing will definitely help! We are all mouth breathers, some things to do is sleep on your back and apply a pillow slightly under your bottom lip to keep your mouth closed. Try nasal exercises and breathing techniques. Anything is possible !
I have been mewing for about 2 months now. I only noticed it the last month, but when I swallow into a suction hold my right masseter tenses up and my left doesn’t. I will say that my right masseter is a lot more developed than my left. I don’t know why this is because I eat and do everything symmetrical including tongue positioning but I have started eating more on my left side anyways to try and even it out. Any tips to either avoid jaw activation or to activate both muscles? I don’t want assymetry

Hey Jin, is it that your nose bridge hurts, or does it feel like kind of pressure or tightness? Sometimes what happens I think is that the change in tongue posture comes with some tension in your jaw muscles, which can create tension around the forehead. If this is the case, what you can do is lookup TMJ massage on youtube, or try and go to a Dentist to see why this is. I have done a lot of TMJ massage myself, and I find it helps that pressure feeling go away. Hope that helps

Aren't you putting it to far back in the soft palate I thought the tongue was supposed to touch the the hard palate?
