Thanks for the build. Only recently started leveling a templar even tho ive been playing on and off for years and i prefer magicka too. The timing of this video is perfect!
Wouldn't Camouflaged Hunter in combination with Barbed Trap, Flawless Dawnbreaker and the Slayer-Passive be more effective than Inner Light? Thanks for your videos and guides!
No, it won’t be terrible. The ranged build that’s in the works will have that as the spamable and I tried it on this build as a front bar dot. It was just a small dps loss.
So if you just want to swap weapons, that’s all you really need to do, and in this case put on wall of elements on the back bar. Add in inner light instead of carve and you’re good to go. If you were looking for something different, let me know and I’ll definitely keep it in mind!
@@Nightharrow would it be possible for a light att magplar build please, you explain your videos in great depths so I can understand them compared to skinny cheeks etc… you just don’t assume everyone has mythic items. Plus you give people the option have using both staff or dagger and staff builds
@Rilkesy thank you, I try! I think there was a typo here because you are asking for a mag plat build and that’s what this is. Did you mean something else?
My issue is sustain, whether it's hp in some fights or if I am not dying it would be magicka. I used harness magicka and channeled focus I believe but I lost alot of dmg. How does this build handle sustain?
I run basically this exact same setup and, it handles it really well. I had an issue with stam sustain using carve, but I fixed that by using the recommended skills, but instead of carve I used degen for major sorcery, inner light provides major prophecy and, then just tri pots for the increased mag/stam regen. Gastly eyebowl food for parsing, witchmothers in content as both are comparable.
Harness magicka is really expensive, that’s probably the issue. I would avoid using it. A stamina heal like vigor would help. If Sweeps inst healing you enough, you want to put on ring of the pale order. Restoring aura can also help with sustain. Channeled focus was a good idea. Also worth confirming you have point in medicinal use. So I guess try those few things and let me know how it goes.
Isnt deadly and thaum stronger? The only thing that cp you use is buffing is jabs really and a few of your skills that are aoe, the skill coefficient will help with choosing right cp in most cases, although biting aura will buff skills such as ritual of retribution the same way thaumaturge would. I though the idea was to buff the beam as it does ridiculous damage below 40% i think with the 2 cps swapped it would hit 125k easy
I think you’re correct for raw single target damage. The thing I’m continually struggling with is the dichotomy of optimized vs broadly useful, and I think I missed the mark a bit here. I think I should have gone either with rele and the single target cp you are recommending or more broadly useful gear and the cp I have. Or found a way to mention both in a concise format. So thank you for saying something, it helps a lot to get this kind of feedback.
I find that 98% of the eso community should never use rele outside of parsing. I think pretty much everyone that can be in velothi should be in velothi. I have everyone in velothi in my trifecta cores
Those are valid points, and I’ll keep them in mind for the next one. I think perhaps since I have given a lot of nuance in other videos I was less concerned about it here. But this could also be someone’s first time seeing one of my videos. I’m also thinking it’s about time for a full Dps gear video going over the subtleties of the various sets like you are mentioning. Thanks for the suggestions.
@@Nightharrow it helps a bit in content too to not have to think about keeping rele stacks up as well which is why I think Ansul is great for everyone tbh. Throw it on boom 7% more damage without needing to proc something or doing a certain condition. Less brain power needed which means you can focus on mechs too :)
That's pretty cool. I was in a guild and they were wanting a parse for tags and they wouldn't accept a parse with velothi or oakensoul. Constant attitudes like that made me quit the game.
That’s unfortunate:l :/ no reason that should allow velothi, it’s best in slot. Kind of says a lot about them that they would do that. My guild is pc/na if you ever want to come run.

Haha nice! Can’t beat the sweeps 🧹

Camo for stam. Inner light for magicka, but it’s a small difference.
I use blazing spear on backbar instead of carve is that a terrible dps loss?
No, it won’t be terrible. The ranged build that’s in the works will have that as the spamable and I tried it on this build as a front bar dot. It was just a small dps loss.
would love to see a double staff build for group content for aoe damager and for boss coverage too, you just dont see the builds anymore

@@Nightharrow definitely makes sense to have both though, single target in a trash pack is not ending well xD
Slime craw medium or light?
Typically you always want at least 1 piece of light and not more than 2, so choose based on that and the rest of your setup.
@@Nightharrow omg you're awesome!
