Can you please make more videos? I have watched them all and I love them and take in all this information and yeah your awesome! :) you got me interested in soccer!!
Hey thanks for these videos. Definitely making me interested in watching the sport and actually choosing to pick a team. I may choose a team for each European country.
Depending on the league but simply put: if on team values a player under contract they can trade other players for said player. Sometimes 1 player can be traded for multiple people. This typically occurs when someone that is playing on a losing team with no chance of making the postseason, there is no Promotion/Relegation, who might fetch an expensive contract the next season MLB teams often will trade a player for multiple future stars and sometimes the deal will include cash considerations and draft picks.
Leagues in North America can sign free agents at any point, again each league has its own rules to this matter. Trade deadlines are set a specific points in the season usually with 1/4 left in the season.
You start off playing for a youth team, or a pro team's academy to train young kids/teenagers and young adults and eventually when they are good enough , they will join the main team playing Professional football/soccer.
No. Most players start at their local team (usually amateur club) and get sold or move to a better club if they reach the required level or show potential. Any player can potentially join any club and any club can potentially buy any player at any time if all parties agree.
martinxp86 lol they don't buy 6 years old. They usually scout hundreds of kids and invite them for trials. Then they they keep on making smaller selections and eventually a few kids are allowed to join one of the professional club's youth teams
No, I wrote "get sold OR move", which of course includes what you describe. Where should they scout them if not at their local club? But there are also many examples where players literally move up league per league and, say, get sold to a pro club at 21 by an amateur club.
Ok so why is Willie Groves saying “I’m rich!!!” if his old club is the recipient of the transfer fee? This is the part that consistently confuses me. If Ajax pays €17b to Bayern for Donglediño - does the player see any of that? What if the buying club can’t come to terms with the player they just paid the fee to?
The player receives an small percentage of the purchase. The team must first agree on everything with the player prior to pay to the other team. Also, if the player is injured the whole operation is cancelled
Yeapp, six months before their contracts expire, players have the right to start talking to other clubs. A club does not hold the rights to a player after a contract expires. It's been like this in the EU since 1995 "Bosman ruling" by the European Court of Justice.
As far as I know, football/soccer players have a contract for several years. If that contract runs out, they can either make a new one with the same club (if the club accepts) or transfer to a different club. If their old club doesn't want them anymore, they have to find a new one. They can also change club when they still have a contract, as long as their current club allows it. I apologize if I made any mistakes, my English isn't the best ^_^
A player can reject the contract from the other club, even though the clubs have decided on a transfer fee. If the player rejects the contract the transfer is cancelled. If a players contract runs out with their current club. They become a free agent, and can sign for any club they want.
The players have a choice, of course. They can initiate negotiations for a transfer and make the teams work everything out (although this is a bit shameful for the player as it shows greed) renew their contract if both them and the team want, leave the team when the contract expires, decide which team they want to play for (from these who offer a position) and/or reject whatever they feel like. It's almost an open market.
The team will accept a bid for the player but it would be for the player to decide if he wants to sign the contract and legally join the team who bided for them.
There is no limit on the number of players you can have and no limit on the total salary of your team. So you buy the player you want from a top team and sell the players that under perform to less wealthy clubs.
If I'm winning with a player, why in the world would I ever be excited to transfer them? Like ATL United with Miguel Almiron; they seemed Excited that he was being transferred. And then they started to suck the next season..... Yes, I'm American.
They are pretty common. Players sign multi year contracts and when those run out they can transfer freely, but teams are interested to re-sign the players early so they get paid when another club really wants the player.
Hammers are West ham not Aston villa.
Love this series...even as someone from Europe. So pls don't stop.
Same here =D ( Juan Kerr is a fake name )
Juan Kerr :) So we agree. I really hope that he doesn´t stop and will do some more.
FienchenBobby I always come to see if more vids are up
Love these. You should do one on yellow and red cards, freekicks, penalties, corners etc.
This is an awesome idea! Maybe even explain the offside rule and why the goalkeeper cant touch the ball if his teammate passes to him. =)
Well its baically i rule for soccer in the world but good idea
I think its time to make this video for every other sports in history
WE ARE THE VILLANS. NOT THE HAMMERS!

As someone from Europe I'd like to know how it looks in the US

I was under the impression that the player gets a 10% of the transfer fee..
Football
how do you go pro, is there a draft?

there is no such thing as a draft...the pro team make an academy and if they find potential in the academy....they *sign* the player
was waiting naymars 222 mil transfer only to find out this video was made in 2014

From West Brom to Hamston Villa.
are there no free agents? can players ever decide where they want to play?
Players who have run out their contract are free agents

Do the players have a choice or is it 100% up to the teams about transfers?

As well as the Aston Villa mistake you mispronounced West Bromwich. The W is silent. Still, great video
wait why don't they trade players?
There is no limit on the number of players you can have and no limit on the total salary of your team. So you buy the player you want from a top team and sell the players that under perform to less wealthy clubs.
Why trade away your asssets when you can buy new ones.
Lol hammers
That's wet ham not Aston Villa =/
so instead of just waiting for someones contract to expire they pay $100 mil on top of the players salary to get them? sweet jesus.
If I'm winning with a player, why in the world would I ever be excited to transfer them? Like ATL United with Miguel Almiron; they seemed Excited that he was being transferred. And then they started to suck the next season..... Yes, I'm American.
@Arch Stanton So you can't just offer a new contract? Like pay more to keep him, like NFL or NBA teams do to their star players?
@@addisonhouston6649 He wouldn't stay because he wants to player in Europe as it is the highest level of club football
how bout Free Transfers ...
They are pretty common. Players sign multi year contracts and when those run out they can transfer freely, but teams are interested to re-sign the players early so they get paid when another club really wants the player.
