Bianca herself doesn't know why the episode was deleted (she didn't know about the deletion anyways and I think she was the only contestant asked so far.) It does make sense for me that it was deleted cause the episode was a televized traumatic experience for Joslyn's partner. It's an overall distateful event and even though I condemn cheating, shame on his scorned partner for using Drag as a vehicle to shame someone as retribution.

The makeover challenge from season 12 is really one of those challenges where a double win would probably the most fair. Crystal's makeover was so fun and had a great concept, Jaida's had perfect makeup and gowns. Actually, there are several challenges in season 12 where a double win would have been valid, which shows how great the contestants on the season were
Jackie should also won the season 12 snatch game with gigi, heidi for me was even the best in the words worst, jaida with gigi for the double win in the ball challenge, or even Jan with gigi in the Madonna rusical. The season 12 girls where sooooo good at challenges that even multiple double wins can be justified throughout the competition but they never get one like in the old seasons
Further conspiracy: she knew that she was going to send Dakota home no matter what and didn't want it to be too obvious that she's still transphobic 👀 think about it- trans contestants almost always get the critique that they're 'resting on pretty', 'too simple' or 'too subtle'. Sounds very similar to how Ru used to say that being a trans queen was akin to athletes taking steroids.
And Ru needs to show the Trans contestants that their "enhancements" are cheating and not drag. It's rus long game to try prove her Transphobic comments in the past are correct. Even though we love Dakotas drag Ru doesn't care
@@bitchiamfromchicago3920 I feel like the fairest option would have been Cheryl winning, obvious and prepared double shantay between Divina & Baga, top 4 finale and Cheryl being told it's not her time yet before the final lipsync. That would have been fair although not sure it would have been the best tv moment.
What I really liked about S7 makeover is that Violet chose to do a grey wig with Max that had been criticized all season for wearing a grey wig 😂. She was like oh Michelle don't like your grey wig? Let's use that to spite her, and at the end it really showed Michelle's double standard because she fucking loved it 🤣🤣🤣
I still maintain that Vanjie winning the season 11 makeover would have made for a way better storyline than Brooke. Vanjie comes back and fails to win a challenge all season, then gives a great makeover at the 11th hour. It would have been such a satisfying payoff for her season-long arc and struggle. I swear they only gave it to Brooke because she was the production favourite and they wanted her to have the most wins going into the finale.
Season 11 will always be the one that stands out to me because of how much the judging baffled me. While Brooke/Plastique and Akeria/Honey looked stunning, from my point of view there wasn't really any transformation or sisterhood going on. It looked like they just brought two dresses in different colors and called it a day. Whereas my jaw dropped to the floor when Ariel came out with Vanjie's makeup, in an outfit that looked impeccable and was made on-site. Just a weird kind of riggory, because Brooke didn't need the additional win at this point, and a win for Vanjie would've justified her coming this far.
I think Vanjie's makeover was incredible and could have gotten the win, but I don't think it was riggory because Plastique 100% looked like Brooke's sister, imo she looked very much transformed.
The whole Trinity going home then them giving Joslyn a black makeover partner after throwing out all the darker shades of makeup was clearly a set up to get her out next. Evil but production planning those things out is what made that season so good in retrospect 😂
Also, as for the Season 6 makeover challenge, Joslyn's partner was more than a bit homophobic. I think he was an athlete and said he was worried about what the other dudes in the locker room would say to him. He had to walk off stage to throw up. I can't believe you didn't mention that! I didn't realize it was punishment for cheating.
I don't get that at all, the boyfriend didn't *have* to do that, Idc what it is, if you're not comfortable with doing something then don't do it. It makes me wonder if there was more to the story behind scenes between him and his girlfriend besides the cheating. 🤔
This is truly the "narrative challenge" due to how often the true winners get overshadowed for storylines. It would be interesting if there was 0 riggory with the challenges, but then again it would cause more issues with placements than most people would like. (See UK 1 and that group of competitors that everyone loves and doesn't want to see go home)
I'm still annoyed how in season 10 Kameron was read for having a different wig colour to her makeover partner and ultimately put in the bottom, whereas in season 11 Brooklyn did the same thing and they praised her and she won. It's the inconsistency that annoys me. I think Vanjie 100% should have won the makeover challenge in season 11, it would have given her a win going into the final 5 and put her on a slightly more even footing with the other contestants.
Just arrived cant wait to see your points, unusual that ru was not present considering the controversy with boy georges opinions on Trans rights in recent years, Dakota was in the TOP in my eyes and this was so unjustified. Sometimes i wish they used some form of scoring systems to make sense of this mess! Heart broken for Dakota
he's also very proudly biphobic! so the fact that he's got some pretty poor (to say the gd least) opinions about the _B & T_ of LGBTQ+ (and lbrh, probably the rest of the +), i was really annoyed to see him there tbh.
@@sarahshroom he was also convicted of a very serious physical assault not all that long ago. Definitely not a good choice for a guest judge, I was seriously unimpressed to see him there too.
i can understand the frustration behind Dakota not changing up much of her aesthetic/silhouette, but a) it's a makeover challenge we should be able to see your traditional drag aesthetic or at the very least something reminiscent of your brand, and b) HER MAKEOVER LOOKED GOOD. her partner honestly looked exactly like Cheryl Hole to me lmfao (maybe that's the real reason she went home) she didn't look busted and they both looked like Schiffers. she doesn't have to win if they didn't like the look, but it wasn't BAD it was just redundant. and boy i was so sad when Dakota left, but the next episode when all the remaining queens were crying i lost it
i did not understand le fil’s critique in the rusical. she killed it and i totally expected her to be in the top. she was so so so talented and not appreciated enough sadly.
@@s_h_o_o_b_y I feel like she deserved to be low. In an isolated scenario the performance would have been more than fine, but she used the same voice for OG Mary as she did for her doctor in the improv challenge. That voice didn't work in the improv challenge, and while it did work better with Mary the judges may have worried that it shows a lack of range. Another thing is that we got very little emotional range from her Mary, while it isn't an emotionally charged role it would have been nice if the performance had different levels, we don't really get to see her let loose when she sings all the naughty words, since Le Fil started at 100 and couldn't really go further with it. both of these things are also reasons that would make production want her gone. production doesn't mind a train wreck, but if every performance is essentially the same it makes for less dynamic telly. The judges may have been extra hard on her so that sending her home soon would seem justified. all that being said I don't think anyone did poorly and that this episode should have had a top 2 and nobody should have gone home.
Looking at the thumbnail (and who's on this list), you could also put Dakota in your WTF Bottom Placements video, if you were to ever update it. As for why I think she was sniped out: maybe they were responding to the sort of mixed reaction Krystal Versace got last season, both on her overall season performance and on winning the season. I think producers could probably tell that the viewers could sense the rigging and favoritism Krystal got, so they wanted to sort of undermine the next young fashion-based DA that came on the season to not make it look like it was rigged in their favor. And unfortunately, Dakota was their sacrificial lamb this season. Which is unfortunate, because she was actually doing well in the challenges and didn't seem to need much riggory to push her far on the season. But I mean, we all know she'll probably do very well after the show, getting modeling and brand deals and such.
Ru obviously is trying for an arch type winner ever uk season. S2: Comedy winner S3: Fashion winner S4: Out of the Box, Weird winner. That's why they weren't going to crown Bimini, Kitty, or even Dakota or Sminty in their respective seasons.
All I'm gonna say is that Monet had no business being anywhere near the top on the AS4 makeover; she came out looking better than Patty and Patty got royally fuxked over looking like 13 Ghosts with that foundation💀⚰️ she was 4th best out of 6, simply safe; either Monique or Trinity could've justifiably taken her spot.
makeover challenges are mainly there as shocking eliminations or unsurprising ones. Shockings include: Pandora Boxx, Monet (she had 4 high placements in a row) Dakota (should've been high) Nina West (JUST won a challenge) Ongina (Best track record) Manila (AS4 obv) Denali (do I need to talk about this). Unsurprising ones include: Nina Bo'Nina Brown, S8 makeover you know, Coco Montrese (it was her fourth bottom and she lost that lipsync) Kenya Michaels etc. It's also used to give a nice high placement to redeem someone's terrible track record before they get eliminated e.g. Rebecca Glasscock, Vanjie, Utica (yeah she had 2 low placements a safe and a bttm2 in the past 2 episodes)
Dakota's elimination also shattered my soul while watching it. It was so heart breaking 💔 Production really did Dakota dirty big time. Ru should have put her on a high placement during the Snatch Game episode but didn't after laughing a lot from Dakota's volleying with her. It didn't make any sense at all.. Then to be put on the bottom when she actually has one of the best makeovers that I have ever seen in the entire UK franchise. Truly in the words of the great Alyssa Edwards.."Riggor Morris!
It works great as a top 6 filter for who production wants because they constantly foreshadow the later episodes with “Everyone’s so good at this point that we *have* to nitpick” and because of how many elements are involved there’s almost always something to nitpick if the judges want to get rid of someone.
This challenge literally exists for the purpose of eliminating the queens who don't fit the narrative they're going with. Or sometimes, for the purpose of manufacturing a viral lipsync. If I hear "family resemblance" one more time, I'm flipping this table.
Though when they say family ressemblance I think they mean drag family, which for ex would make the family ressemblance for crystal’s makeover totally valid
I’m sad to hear you didn’t watch down under 2, it was a fantastic season compared to the first and really showcased some great talent we have over here
I loved a lot of the queens from that season and I really didn’t even mind Spankie winning (although I was team Kween Kong! Would LOVE to see her back for a vs the world season ❤️) It’s a real shame it wasn’t widely viewed by international fans, largely because S1 was such a bin fire. It was a big improvement.
Not sure if anyone answered yet but I think that season 6 makeover was removed because of the makeup controversy and one of the 'brides' was forced on the show by his girlfriend as a punishment for cheating? I did a rewatch a few months ago and was curious why it was missing too!
Love that you mentioned how Miss Fame was unjustly low instead of Kennedy. I would even put Kennedy in the bottom over Jaidynn since the concept is even more basic than Gingers. (Ginger did still look the worst though, the breasts and the outfit were very sad).
Honestly, Crystals Makeover of Opal is for me the best Makeover Perfomance in the history of RPDR. - The looks very perfection and they were both different but screamed family resemblance, which is very hard to execute. - Her choreo was on point. - It was something surprising and refreshing, what we have never seen before. - Crystal found a way to transfer her whole drag identity on another person in the best way possible. I loved it so much.
So excited for the Riggory of UK 4. I always love it when you do a video that's clearly inspired by the upcoming Riggory video, but it's just not time yet because season is still airing, even though the riggory was too obvious not to discuss right away.
i find it very ironic that in DU1 is one of the most rigged seasons, but the makover out of all challenges they couldve done, is the fairest ep theyve judged from that season (asides from elektra placing low)
I feel like the make over challenge edges on family resemblance vs twinning. Like which one is it intended to be? But also Shanel was doing All Stars before All Stars. Shanel should’ve been on a later season.
I really think the producers were setting Roxxxy Andrews to win the makeover challenge in All Stars 2. I think they were planning to give her the storyline of winning the first and last episode. But they did not expect Detox to do good in the episode considering that she was in the bottom 2 for the makeover challenge in Season 5. And it would be blasphemous to put Katya in the bottom at that point knowing that the remaining girls were dominated by Season 5 girls. So they put Detox and Katya at the top instead.
Dakota should have been high for Snatch Game and for Makeover and then she would‘ve been real competition for Cheddar & Danny, that would‘ve made the upcoming finale way more interesting.
The season 6 makeover episode was so fucking awkward. I didn't remember the bit about Joslyn's partner having cheated and him doing the show as "punishment," which first off, is super fucked up, and honestly makes sense, the guy was _so_ uncomfortable, and iirc he was at least low-key homophobic?? All I kept thinking was "fuck, poor Joslyn"
dakota going home just pissed me off, she literally had the second best look (with danny being #1 and cheddar being #3). and for the judges to tell her all season that they don’t understand who she is, and then she shows who she is and gets sent home for that very reason made no sense. i also disagree with the critique about the checkered patterns. i personally loved them. it’s one of those things that looks like it shouldn’t belong in the look, but it just DOES and it adds flavor to the look and allows it to pop a lot more. dakota for all stars or vs the world honestly i refuse for her to not be on my tv anymore
The JUDGES literally said that they couldn't see family resemblance on jonbers' look and that they don't know what her style is, so it didn't make sense to them that she would come as a mime. Like, did they hear what they said or were they just reading from a teleprompter...?
A recent example of BS reasons for putting a queen on the bottom just happened in Down Under 2 where Michelle tells Molly her pet peeve about socks, Molly had them down, and her partner had them up, so they use that to claim she wasn't paying attention to him. They wanted to get rid of Molly before the finale, period.
I was sad when Gigi came out for the makeover looking so basic. Gigi (to me) gets fashion like very few others, and it felt like she just went so lazy.
girl did you really watched the episode? the make up denali did on olivia was HORRIBLE and the challenge was judged in pairs, it should be tina vs rose if it wasnt denali vs olivia
@@seaxel I don’t think the makeup was horrible, but I agree it wasn’t good. Personally I think the format was a good idea unfortunately it just went wrong bc the correct bottom two were from different pairs. So they just picked the worst queen of the week and their partner became collateral damage, thus Denali was in the bottom with Liv
@@EscSłonecznika but if we take a look at the pairs, rose did a good job in tina and tina did a hate crime on rose's face... but in the other hand, denali did a bad makeup and olivia transformation in denali was pretty meh, so it was better to have 1 good and 1 transformation than 2 bad or meh transformations at the end of the day
The makeup Denali did on Olivia was awful, and the outfit was something we’d already seen(literally copy for copy of her entrance look). She arguably did worse than Olivia
@@styles2535 sorry but absolutely not. Olivia’s look on Denali did not look like Olivia’s drag whatsoever and Denali’s makeover was clearly her brand of drag, and I don’t see in what kind of world that that look is a carbon copy of Denali’s entrance look, there are a lot of differences. Yeah the shape is similar but that’s really it
I've always hated the makeover challenge. It's one of the most rigged challenges in almost every way. I think even the judges don't know how to evaluate. I don't get the family resemblance thing: some times they award when they look exactly the same (Rebecca, Brooke Lynn), sometimes they punish it. Same with the looks that are similar but different silhouette (like Vanjie). For me, family resemblance is that you can recognize the identify of a queen but make it also special and unique for the person who is being transformed. It should be judged more like a branding challenge than a design challenge. These are my judging for every season: USA: S1: Win: Nina or Shannel. Bttm2: Bebe and Rebecca. S2: Win: Raven. Bttm2: Jujubee and Pandora. S3: Win: Manila. Bttm2: Raja and Carmen. S4: Win: Chad. Bttm2: Latrice and Kenya. S5: Win: Roxxxy. Bttm2: Detox and Coco. S6: Win: Bianca. Bttm2: Adore and Joslyn. Bttm2: Silky and Nina. S12: Win: Crystal: Bttm2: Heidi and Jackie. S13: Win: Utica and Symone. Bttm2: Olivia and Tina. AS2: Win: Detox and Katya. Bttm2: Alyssa and Alaska. AS4: Naomi and Trinity. Bttm2: Manila and Latrice. UK: S1: Win: Cheryl or Divina. Bttm2: The Vivienne and Baga. S4: Win: Cheddar. Bttm2: Pixie and Jonbers. Canada: S1: Win: Jimbo. Bttm2: Rita and Lemon. S2: Win: Pythia. Oh my God HONEY. I lost it over Dakota too. She did SO well, she held her own against Pixie and Baby both, she just kept getting better every week, and I honestly wanted her to win Snatch Game because that Pete Burns was incredible.
Crystal Method's makeover was the best makeover across all seasons. She should've won over Jaida. I cannot believe Monet won her AS4 makeover. I thought she did the worst job compared to the other queens. Denali went home after doing a good job on her partner. It should've been Tina and Olivia in the bottom 2 for sure. Conspiracy theory about Jonbers vs Dakota: the producers go through every outfit the queens brought for the season. They knew that next week Jonbers would come out in that mint green look RuPaul drooled over. Maybe that's part of the reason they got rid of Dakota? to give Jonbers an epilogue with that "fashion queen" redemption?
Thanks for spending some time with me on my lazy Sunday. I always love listening to your bootleg opinions ❤️ I also had to add, I believe there was some kind of a lawsuit with one of the grooms on the season six makeover episode. I think Jocelyn‘s had a really big issue with it after the fact. There was something on the Race Chaser with Alaska & Willam they covered that season.
I will say, down under make over episode was just really lovely, such an amazing family they got on for the make overs, I feel like its worth the watch... the whole season might not be, but I found this episode really enjoyable
With family resembles they usually mean a few things: -you seem like you are from the same universe -you look alike -you have a cute similar look And then they choose one of those to give critiques
There's a curse involving this challenge: several fashion queens landed in the bottom for the makeover challenge; Raja, Aquaria, Minty Fresh, the Countess, Chelsea Boy, Icesis...
For the s13 makeover I think out of the bottom 2 teams they clearly were more invested in rose and olivia so if they had to put a pair in the bottom rose is the only one who hadn't won a lipsync by that point and I think they were equally willing to lose denali and tina so a denali/olivia lipsync was less risky. Also this is one of the few challenges that really could only be judged in teams so I understood the decision not to split up teams for the bottom
I completely disagree with the Crystal Method lack of family resemblance comment. Burt and Ernie; they’re a pair. They are like chosen family (they live together). I think it’s a great interpretation of family resemblance.
Holland 1 has one of (if not THE) most rigged makeover. The bottom 2 both did good and there were 2 others queens who clearly did the worst but were safe.
i was honestly so gagged with how they judged fame and kandy ho, when i saw them come onto the runway i thought fame did so great with their makeup + they looked cute so i was like "surely theyll give them points for that" but then the judges clocked them so i was like oh....... Okay
Someone probably got here before me but this is the reason it was removed: Joslyn’s partner was only on the show as a payback to his girlfriend for cheating on her. Apparently he was homophobic and looked down on drag and was SUPER embarrassed by the whole thing. Pretty sure he was threatening to/was going to sue and they ended up taking it down Edit: wrote this before you said most of the info in the video but yeah, it’s because of legal issues that they had to remove it
I think Coco's bottom placement was deserved since her partner's dress wasn't the best, while Detox's partner's was well made. Also I don't think that Ru would have allowed Coco to survive the 4th lipsync, and I think that's why Detox was in the bottom with her: Alaska couldn't outshine Coco while Detox might have, and her win didn't seem rigged (then in S7 Ru let Pearl win against Trixie who was clearly better... quoting Tatianna "choices")
The winner of S4 has a name: Sharon Needles, are we in such a crystal gen era that people have to be treated like Voldemort and worse "they who shall not be named" when is ONE person.
ok but i’m just so glad i’m not the only one who was more upset than usual over dakotas elimination! something about it made me so mad, and usually when my favorites get eliminated i’m sad but i get over it pretty fast. it just felt so wrong 😭 and i was starting to like the judging this season
The thing is I understand rigging a season and the makeover is one of the best challenge to Rigg but why keep Jonbers ? Love her but she really didn't do anything spectacular this whole season...she was costing by and Dakota was slaying and had beautiful personal moments I really don't get the producer...Ofc Dakota is going to be a fan favourite, she's kind, funny, cute, beautiful and also very mature 👁👄👁
The S12 lip sync thing was just to give the fans the full drag race experience, it didn’t and shouldn’t have factored into the judging. I think they made the correct placements there, Crystal and Jaida should’ve probably both won but Gigi’s looks were miles ahead of Jackie’s crunchy body suits so I think it was the correct bottom 2.
Who should’ve been in the bottom in her place? I thought she did really good, but I think the only person who did worse than her was Luxx, who was also in the bottom
Completely disagree with UK 4. Obviously Dakota should have been high, BUT I will be forever gagged that Black Peppa wasn´t in the bottom 2 . Jonbers was rightfully low imo because I think its better when you dont have a specific brand yet so it kinda means you can do whatever as long as it looks fine. Black Peppa has very distinct brand - high concept fashion clothes with a headpiece and has decided to do simple black dress with makeup that has nothing to do with their style.
The season 6 episode was removed (based on what I heard) because of a lawsuit between Joslyn’s partner and his wife. She found out he cheated on her, and tricked him into doing this show (rumor has it), and then he sued her over it and the legalities around it means the episode can’t be available anywhere Idk EXACTLY what the story is, but that’s what I’ve heard

That would have been fair although not sure it would have been the best tv moment.
What I really liked about S7 makeover is that Violet chose to do a grey wig with Max that had been criticized all season for wearing a grey wig 😂.
She was like oh Michelle don't like your grey wig? Let's use that to spite her, and at the end it really showed Michelle's double standard because she fucking loved it 🤣🤣🤣
it was a blonde wig violet used tho
I still maintain that Vanjie winning the season 11 makeover would have made for a way better storyline than Brooke. Vanjie comes back and fails to win a challenge all season, then gives a great makeover at the 11th hour. It would have been such a satisfying payoff for her season-long arc and struggle. I swear they only gave it to Brooke because she was the production favourite and they wanted her to have the most wins going into the finale.
Fully a better story. Not rigged but definitely disappointing
I'm just now realizing Vanjie didn't win that challenge. My brain apparently rewrote history with the correct outcome.
even the girls said that Vanjie should've won
not to mention it also would've been an opportunity to reward her for having a different silhouette
Its disappointing that Vanjie was in the bottom and if you compare the bottoms and the tops. The tops are filled with glam pageant esque beauty girls.
Yes
I think Vanjie's makeover was incredible and could have gotten the win, but I don't think it was riggory because Plastique 100% looked like Brooke's sister, imo she looked very much transformed.
Let us not forget Nina West and Vanjie.
The whole Trinity going home then them giving Joslyn a black makeover partner after throwing out all the darker shades of makeup was clearly a set up to get her out next. Evil but production planning those things out is what made that season so good in retrospect 😂
I'm still FUMING over Dakota going home. I felt the injustice deep in my soul. Both of the UK makeovers are cursed
I legit cried
Also, as for the Season 6 makeover challenge, Joslyn's partner was more than a bit homophobic. I think he was an athlete and said he was worried about what the other dudes in the locker room would say to him.
He had to walk off stage to throw up. I can't believe you didn't mention that!
I didn't realize it was punishment for cheating.
also why this episode isn't available on streaming platforms
It's bullshit to call it "trauma" for a homophobe to have to put on drag lol.
@@nicknamegoddess Totally fair
I don't get that at all, the boyfriend didn't *have* to do that, Idc what it is, if you're not comfortable with doing something then don't do it. It makes me wonder if there was more to the story behind scenes between him and his girlfriend besides the cheating. 🤔
@@RoyG.BivDevoe it was his punishment. The gf told him to either do this or I'm breaking up with you so he did it. If I'm not mistaken she still did
This is truly the "narrative challenge" due to how often the true winners get overshadowed for storylines.
It would be interesting if there was 0 riggory with the challenges, but then again it would cause more issues with placements than most people would like. (See UK 1 and that group of competitors that everyone loves and doesn't want to see go home)
lowkey i felt like if the btm were divina and baga with divina being sent home, the fandom would have rioted
@@dylannolastname730 oh of course. Cheryl was just so crippled by having her best performance at the final episode.
!!!! thank you
I'm still annoyed how in season 10 Kameron was read for having a different wig colour to her makeover partner and ultimately put in the bottom, whereas in season 11 Brooklyn did the same thing and they praised her and she won. It's the inconsistency that annoys me. I think Vanjie 100% should have won the makeover challenge in season 11, it would have given her a win going into the final 5 and put her on a slightly more even footing with the other contestants.
Yara cheer spelling WRAP "Gimme the doubly-oo! Gimme the aaaaiiiiiRRRRR!" is honestly Iconic.
Yep he chained a guy to a radiator and beat him and spent time in prison. What a stand up guy huh
i can understand the frustration behind Dakota not changing up much of her aesthetic/silhouette, but a) it's a makeover challenge we should be able to see your traditional drag aesthetic or at the very least something reminiscent of your brand, and b) HER MAKEOVER LOOKED GOOD. her partner honestly looked exactly like Cheryl Hole to me lmfao (maybe that's the real reason she went home) she didn't look busted and they both looked like Schiffers. she doesn't have to win if they didn't like the look, but it wasn't BAD it was just redundant.
and boy i was so sad when Dakota left, but the next episode when all the remaining queens were crying i lost it
cannot wait for you to do the “how it should have went” for this season- dakota, baby & le fil need their redemption
i did not understand le fil’s critique in the rusical. she killed it and i totally expected her to be in the top. she was so so so talented and not appreciated enough sadly.
*should have gone
Omg the peach with the checkers ugh. I LOVED! I literally thought it was the cutest look there and I thought she was going to win this challenge.
Trinity should've lipsynced Vs Naomi that episode
No, Trinity was very bad in the dance
For the season 6 makeover what I’ve always heard is that Joslyn’s partner sued for like defamation or something and the episode was thus pulled
makeover challenges are mainly there as shocking eliminations or unsurprising ones.
The make over challenges I ever really like are the ones were they bring on family/partners to do the show.
I’m sad to hear you didn’t watch down under 2, it was a fantastic season compared to the first and really showcased some great talent we have over here
It still wasn't the best, like spanky winning was insane
@@kyyr00_ Yuri should've won. All i remember from that season is that one queen's disturbing lip filler...

It’s a real shame it wasn’t widely viewed by international fans, largely because S1 was such a bin fire. It was a big improvement.
@@livelaughluvdisc haha your talking about hanna conda, I loved her
You didn't mention the fact that Season 1 had the makeover partners lip sync.
And Nina's partner barely even did that.
Not sure if anyone answered yet but I think that season 6 makeover was removed because of the makeup controversy and one of the 'brides' was forced on the show by his girlfriend as a punishment for cheating? I did a rewatch a few months ago and was curious why it was missing too!
lol of course I should listen to the whole clip first since you mention both these things, but yeah. afaik those are reasons
“Well it’s not a high concept but it’s A concept” PLEASEEE LMAO
Also please give DU2 a chance it was a good season! One of the strongest winners track record wise too
The makeover challenge on season 1 of Holland is also a perfect example of riggory in favor of storylines.
Here we are after a make over challenge in season 15. To paraphrase Alaska, yet another rig

I always love it when you do a video that's clearly inspired by the upcoming Riggory video, but it's just not time yet because season is still airing, even though the riggory was too obvious not to discuss right away.
justice for Dakota !!!
After the bs of Dakota's elimination I NEEDED this video. Love you keep up the great content 💜💜
i find it very ironic that in DU1 is one of the most rigged seasons, but the makover out of all challenges they couldve done, is the fairest ep theyve judged from that season (asides from elektra placing low)
So they put Detox and Katya at the top instead.
oatmeal is an eyebrow reference, not padding
Dakota should have been high for Snatch Game and for Makeover and then she would‘ve been real competition for Cheddar & Danny, that would‘ve made the upcoming finale way more interesting.
The season 6 makeover episode was so fucking awkward. I didn't remember the bit about Joslyn's partner having cheated and him doing the show as "punishment," which first off, is super fucked up, and honestly makes sense, the guy was _so_ uncomfortable, and iirc he was at least low-key homophobic?? All I kept thinking was "fuck, poor Joslyn"
I really would like to hear more about your Dakota fandom, and understand more about why you’re a fan! She seems really lovely.
Yay! Another new great video 🙌
It's a great idea for a challenge and has so much potential but the judging is ALWAYS massively rigged and it's stupid
Family resemblance *should* mean:
If we only saw the makeover recipient we should be able to know immediately who gave them the makeover
dakota going home just pissed me off, she literally had the second best look (with danny being #1 and cheddar being #3). and for the judges to tell her all season that they don’t understand who she is, and then she shows who she is and gets sent home for that very reason made no sense. i also disagree with the critique about the checkered patterns. i personally loved them. it’s one of those things that looks like it shouldn’t belong in the look, but it just DOES and it adds flavor to the look and allows it to pop a lot more. dakota for all stars or vs the world honestly i refuse for her to not be on my tv anymore
Denali was literally doing amazing it should of been Tina vs Olivia
girl did you really watched the episode? the make up denali did on olivia was HORRIBLE and the challenge was judged in pairs, it should be tina vs rose if it wasnt denali vs olivia

UGHHHHHHHHHHHH I NEED A SEWING PATTERN FOR DAKOTAS PARTNERS DRESS
Like its so cute omfg
I will say, down under make over episode was just really lovely, such an amazing family they got on for the make overs, I feel like its worth the watch... the whole season might not be, but I found this episode really enjoyable
They removed the season 6 makeover episode because one of the makeovers (I think Joslyns) made WOW do it.
With family resembles they usually mean a few things:
-you seem like you are from the same universe
-you look alike
-you have a cute similar look
And then they choose one of those to give critiques
I enjoy the make over challenge. I think they just need to give it a standardized rule or point break down. I would hate to see it go
There's a curse involving this challenge: several fashion queens landed in the bottom for the makeover challenge; Raja, Aquaria, Minty Fresh, the Countess, Chelsea Boy, Icesis...
when dakota did not get a high in snatch game, i knew the jig was up! the cheek the nerve the gall the audacity and the gumption!!!
Crystals makeover was the best makover i ever saw. You can see they are from the same drag house
Fun seeing Alexis go from such terrible looks to what she pulled in AS8, being the look queen, is so fun
'If we're going to do it, shouldn't it matter' should apply everywhere
i was honestly so gagged with how they judged fame and kandy ho, when i saw them come onto the runway i thought fame did so great with their makeup + they looked cute so i was like "surely theyll give them points for that" but then the judges clocked them so i was like oh....... Okay
Someone probably got here before me but this is the reason it was removed:
Joslyn’s partner was only on the show as a payback to his girlfriend for cheating on her. Apparently he was homophobic and looked down on drag and was SUPER embarrassed by the whole thing. Pretty sure he was threatening to/was going to sue and they ended up taking it down
Edit: wrote this before you said most of the info in the video but yeah, it’s because of legal issues that they had to remove it
I think Coco's bottom placement was deserved since her partner's dress wasn't the best, while Detox's partner's was well made.
Monet's winning over Trinity's work of art was one of the biggest wtf Drag Race moments ever.
Oh def Cheryl Hole and Denali! And in last season: Lulu De Lucu
The winner of S4 has a name: Sharon Needles, are we in such a crystal gen era that people have to be treated like Voldemort and worse "they who shall not be named" when is ONE person.
I agree with your points and I’m so annoyed about them not putting Dakota in the top with the snatch game as well…
ok but i’m just so glad i’m not the only one who was more upset than usual over dakotas elimination! something about it made me so mad, and usually when my favorites get eliminated i’m sad but i get over it pretty fast. it just felt so wrong 😭 and i was starting to like the judging this season
As I Danny fan, I will fully blame YOU if they don’t win the season. You’re clearly a curse this season.
MAMA we are not having that! LMAO
And thank you for reminding us of Divina's dress
Some people try and argue with me that Divina didn’t deserve to be on the bottom for the makeover lmao
I'm here after seeing Loosey get absolutely cheated during her makeover.
Who should’ve been in the bottom in her place? I thought she did really good, but I think the only person who did worse than her was Luxx, who was also in the bottom
Peppas being the same outfit as Nina when she was eliminated
You didn't watch DRDU2???? It is SUCH a great season, and the lipsyncs are all great.
Here's the thing. Crystal slayed but Jaida gave her partner the best mug of any makeover ever. If anything it could have been a double win though.
She found out he cheated on her, and tricked him into doing this show (rumor has it), and then he sued her over it and the legalities around it means the episode can’t be available anywhere
Idk EXACTLY what the story is, but that’s what I’ve heard
