Cas is fantastic. None of the other organizers made sense to me until I found Cas and learned that I am a butterfly. Her videos are so entertaining that she makes cleaning and decluttering fun!
It's so true that we overestimate how long things will take! I had a patch of plaster on my living room wall that needed to be sanded and painted and I left it there for a YEAR! When I finally got around to it, it literally took me 4 minutes haha.
Cas is great and so is Dawn from the Minimal Mom! THANK YOU Rachel for introducing me to Dawn last month when she was on your show. I have watched probably 100+ of her videos since then and have started working on my house! God Bless you Cas, Rachel and Dawn!!!!
I love the Lady bug! I constantly put items away in a special place and forget where that special place is! I am organizing & cleaning out this weekend! thanks for the ideas!
You two are awesome. I’ve followed Cas for a year and she presents such a positive, enthusiastic interest in helping others. You, Rachel are sort of like your father but not pushy. People decide on their own when it is time for money management and dealing with clutter, but Cas gives flexible choices and people ultimately do what is best for them & you and Cas come across as genuine so your messages are listened to
I loved this with the O.G. of decluttering and organizing. I love Dawn (Minimal Mom) but I have followed Cas a lot longer. I had your style figured out right away due to knowledge gleaned from Cas. TFS 👍🥰
Timer idea 💡 . Brilliant! I also have ADHD and that's why sorry but I find your voice so much more soothing than Dawn's and your " doable" in small sections getting things done🥰. In larger amounts I get " frozen" and overehelmed.
Because of you Cas 🥰( I found y'all during " Lock Down") everything in my bedroom, living room etc. are in coordinating soothing muted colors. White, off white, grey, brown, beige. It's made a MAJOR difference.🤗 Anyone else?
YES to the containers!! I am always after my mom to throw away her containers! I thankfully have broken that trait but I do still hear my grandparents or parents telling me I shouldn't.
Alexa just started an 11 minute timer when you mentioned that. 🙂 Probably the only man watching. My wife is blind and disabled and I get a bit lazy around the house as she can't see it. Trying to inspire myself to get things in order. We moved from our home of 30 years to a new home 5 years ago. Still have stuff we haven't touched since we moved. I'm tired of it. Thanks for inspiring me. Now just need to figure out how to make our home not look like a man decorated it.
That's funny about Alexa. Keep watching lots of these videos; these two ladies and the Minimal Mom (Dawn). There are also men who have decluttering and minimal lifestyle pages. I'm sorry I don't know their names, but I've watched them. One immediate thing you could do is bring in some fresh flowers once a week, or every other week, or once a month. Your wife can't see them but she might be able to smell them. If you have a Publix or Trader Joe's where you live they have inexpensive fresh flowers all the time. No need to spend a lot - $8 for a hand full of tulips in season, or $10 of other miscellaneous flowers is enough. Splurge for the $12-15 bouquet of roses if you like! One caveat here is if you have a cat or cats, they will most likely knock them over! 😊 You can do this brshooter1! You moved after 30 years, you can do this, one box at a time. All the best.
P. S. It's an on going process...FOREVER! One of the most comforting things with all of these organizing videos is they too will eventually tell you it is an on going process that never really ends. But it can get easier and easier, i.e. take up less time and confusion once you get a groove going.
when deciding on a time limit, divide into 1. get ready, 2. declutter, and 3. finish the task.: 3 includes put away, throw out, recycle, and donate. so, schedule a 5 portion at end of session to do this. if we don't finish, it stays messy.
A " tidy tote" LOVE THAT 💡 IDEA!! Yes I also MUST stay in one room and get it all done before progressing to the next room. ( ADHD diagnosed at 40 and now my growing up all makes sense!) I'm also a " LADYBUG" but even the labels make me 🤪 crazy!
Thing about buying on line people in our stores need their jobs. Think about your shopping needs first. Try on clothes so no returns. All the containers bought are they quality so do not end in landfields adding to problem. Think about what you will need in future before getting rid of. Do not want to have to buy again.
One of the gifts I was going to give my children was to have my clutter reduced at the end of my life. I had to go through all my mother's things after she passed and it was more than I could handle. I've waited longer than I intended but I am now purging to get things organized. I'm even sending my Lalique figures to grandchildren to "manage." As they say, less is more.
The FlyLady calls it Stash n’ Dash lol. My sister-in-law is like this. You go for a visit and everything looks organized and decluttered, then you open a cabinet, and it’s stuffed to the brim. My meal plan: 🥗 Salad, Salad, and Salad. Do I eat salad? No, and the lettuce goes in the garbage after awhile.
I think I must be a cricket. I would rather have something in sight than in the wrong place or somewhere that I can’t find it. When I clean, I want to clean drawers and cabinets first so I will have room to put things in an organized manner.
Love the Take Your House Back class by Cass, Dana K. White and Dawn Madsen (The Minimal Mom). It's great inspiration and has lots of problem-solving tips & tricks. The bi-annual all day declutters always jump start my motivation. I totally agree about the timer. Emptying the dishwasher and reloading it became so much easier after I timed myself and found that it usually takes 5 minutes or less to complete both tasks.
My Dad always said and says to this day "Pay Yourself First". And it really works because my Dad is brilliant lol. And I have a hot mess at home so I'm going to do the timer set at 15 minutes and then stop. It's so overwhelming when you try to do more but I really think that will work for me. Great video!
I’m loving this, I’m a mix of a butterfly and a lady bug. Unfortunately my husband and adult kids are stuff borders and I can’t touch their stuff, my husband has five junk drawers and a junk cabinet where he just shoves stuff and forgets it for years.
My husband dumps things on top of the microwave by the back door. I put a large wire basket there and most items end up in it now. When you can’t open the cabinet above it magically gets sorted. These little hacks work so well!
I have followed you for a while; and I'm also a ladybug. I've learned how to keep my closets and drawers more organized. But when you said I did not have to wrap the cord on the vacuum I got so excited! LOL
Omg this is awesome… I just understood my husbands organization type definitely a ladybug 🐞 and it drives me crazy 😅 not sure which one I am but you won’t open a drawer and not be organized and or have a category to it lol I had to stop putting a lid on certain things for my husband because if they have them he won’t put it back lol that’s reminded me of him…
This is so funny and validating. I love you mentioning throwing the vacuum cord at the vacuum and being done. My husband needs to see this video so I can show him.... see, I'm a ladybug and that's okay. Thank you both!
I love when she said ladybugs have a weird scent. I had an apartment infested with them and they smell horrible! Especially when they immolate themselves by landing on the halogen lamp...
I'm helpful for Cas's clutterbug styles. It has helped me to understand my husband more. I love decluttering first and having less to organize. My problem was the I organized EVERYTHING and didn't realize that I had too much sturff.
I love that you are having my favorite UA-camrs on your show. Frugal fit Mom, minimal Mom and now Cas, I love them all!
I was coming on here to the say the same thing! My favorite UA-camrs!
Same!
Agreed. All amazing smart women. Big fan of all of them. ( And their personalities 😂 ) my kinda people.
😊yay Cas!
❤
I love the Clutterbug. She has an awesome channel. Having her on your show was awesome. She has so many great tips.
Yes. She is fabulous!
Exactly
First Dawn? Now Cas? Okay, Rachel has to have Dana next!
Cas is fantastic. None of the other organizers made sense to me until I found Cas and learned that I am a butterfly. Her videos are so entertaining that she makes cleaning and decluttering fun!
Agreed! I didn't know that the way I "cleaned" was saying I was a Ladybug!
Cass is the best organizer on YT! Love her tips (and her sense of humor!)
It's so true that we overestimate how long things will take! I had a patch of plaster on my living room wall that needed to be sanded and painted and I left it there for a YEAR! When I finally got around to it, it literally took me 4 minutes haha.

Cas, Dawn, and Dana are the best ever!
I follow both of you separately, I love that you came together for this episode!!!
Beautiful collaboration! 👑👑
Cas' test has changed my life. My home is looking neater every week, and my stuffitis is going away. Thanks!
I love the Lady bug! I constantly put items away in a special place and forget where that special place is! I am organizing & cleaning out this weekend! thanks for the ideas!
Cas is the BEST!!! Her tips are so doable. Just yesterday I purged my two office filing cabinet drawers that were just scary and overwhelming.
I absolutely love Cas videos, especially the stories at the end. She makes me feel like I’m not alone with the craziness.
You two are awesome. I’ve followed Cas for a year and she presents such a positive, enthusiastic interest in helping others. You, Rachel are sort of like your father but not pushy. People decide on their own when it is time for money management and dealing with clutter, but Cas gives flexible choices and people ultimately do what is best for them & you and Cas come across as genuine so your messages are listened to
Love The Minimal Mom and Clutterbug... Next Up need to interview Dana K.White from A Slob Comes Clean!
YES!!!! ❤️
They are the 1, 2, 3 Power Punch!! They have helped me so much- I’m a butterfly and was always called messy.
And Steph from secret slob
Yes!!
Yes!
I loved this with the O.G. of decluttering and organizing. I love Dawn (Minimal Mom) but I have followed Cas a lot longer. I had your style figured out right away due to knowledge gleaned from Cas. TFS 👍🥰
I had it figured out, too!
Love Cas and all her videos
Her ideas are great
Especially because she knows people have different organizational styles ❤
Love Cas! Have followed her for years and her advise is down to Earth and life changing!
Love Clutterbug, always full of wonderful ideas! So glad you had her on!!! 💕
Yes!
Was SO excited to see two of my favourite people on the thumbnail!! You’re both amazing at what you do! ♥️
Ha fellow Ladybug here. Cass totally opened my eyes years ago. Love her. New to your channel and loving it, too.
I love Cas! I'm so glad you had her on!
Clutterbug!! Yes 😍😍😍
She is creative, funny, RELATABLE, and has good common sense advice!! 🎉❤🎉
🤣🤣 I love this! I too am a lady bug. "Throw the cord at the vacuum " yup. No lids. Yep...
I've followed clutterbug and love her! Great content.
Timer idea 💡 . Brilliant! I also have ADHD and that's why sorry but I find your voice so much more soothing than Dawn's and your " doable" in small sections getting things done🥰. In larger amounts I get " frozen" and overehelmed.
YES! Two of my favorite UA-camrs in one show! This is fantastic! Both of your systems have literally changed my life! Love you both!

This is a dream collab! I love clutterbug!
I love the Clutterbug! So fun to see her here!
I took the quiz -- I'm a butterfly!! Her voice is so sweet !

@@lisamalwitz8517 Thank you.
Simplify For your wife.. I can imagine a clutter free home would feel safer and cleaner to her ❤️ You could save $ to hire a decorater..
Love her and Dawn, and Steph from The Secret Slob. Those 3 have changed my life!
when deciding on a time limit, divide into 1. get ready, 2. declutter, and 3. finish the task.: 3 includes put away, throw out, recycle, and donate. so, schedule a 5 portion at end of session to do this. if we don't finish, it stays messy.

The peace in our lives sometimes come from daily small stuff. The secrets are Rachel and Cas. Love them both
So refreshing to hear you have a guest that doesn't say "like" every 3rd word! Keep it up!
I'm such a ladybug 🐞 too! I absolutely love Clutterbug, she is so awesome and fun! ❤️
Oh my goodness! Yay!!!! Love Cas. She is my spirit animal. ♥️
Cas!!! Love her! Love this collab & also the one with the minimal mom you did recently ❤️ 2 of my FAVE youtubers
I cleaned my junk drawer and other spaces while listening and got rid of a nice box of stuff.😀

Fantastic collab. Fan of both ladies and messages. Well done.
This was eye opening to me! I'm a ladybug too! It makes more sense now.
Rachel, I have been a fan of Cass' for a long time
Butterfly/Bee here! Loved seeing the two of you together!
Thank you Clutter Bug ❤❤❤
I already follow her and of course Rachel. So cool to see you both together like this.
One of the gifts I was going to give my children was to have my clutter reduced at the end of my life. I had to go through all my mother's things after she passed and it was more than I could handle. Big decluttering perk - not buying multiple items because you couldn't find the first one! Saves Money & Time in the long run!
I think I must be a cricket. I would rather have something in sight than in the wrong place or somewhere that I can’t find it. When I clean, I want to clean drawers and cabinets first so I will have room to put things in an organized manner.

Cass, that dress and color is beautiful on you ❤️
I follow Cas, Dawn and Frugal Fit Mom and you! Perfect shows!
Such a great episode, thank you. And I love your outfit - feminine and modest.
I love Cas. Decluttering is so much easier now.
Rachel, I can totally relate to decluttering the playroom and then leaving the bag in the room! It's the worst lol. I get it.
I see Clutterbug and I click. I'm a simple human being with children and I struggle with decluttering and organizing.
Looooove Cass...
I am a cricket through and through
Love Cassandra! Great video 😊
Two of the best women out there! Christine
You guys are a blast!!!
Thanks to both of you gals for sharing this great podcast with all of us! 💛☕☀️
Rachel thats totally me with the timers and Alexa. My husband also just stares at me with this habit 😂
I love Rachel outfit today and errands, color hair looks nice too
My Dad always said and says to this day "Pay Yourself First". And it really works because my Dad is brilliant lol. And I have a hot mess at home so I'm going to do the timer set at 15 minutes and then stop. It's so overwhelming when you try to do more but I really think that will work for me. Great video!
This is helpful. Thank you.
Love Cas, I am a superfan of hers!
Loved this episode!🤗
I’m loving this, I’m a mix of a butterfly and a lady bug. Unfortunately my husband and adult kids are stuff borders and I can’t touch their stuff, my husband has five junk drawers and a junk cabinet where he just shoves stuff and forgets it for years.
Thank you for this. Appreciate it.
Love it. We can vacuum and not wrap the cord back and just throw it at the vacuum. I need that little voice say that in the background as I vacuum.
I’m the same way!!!! My husband is a cricket-he ALWAYS wraps the vacuum cord properly after each use. WHO HAS TIME FOR THAT??! Lol!
Would love to see interviews with Dana K White from “A Slob Comes Clean” and Lisa from “Organize 365”!!! 💖💖
The Trifecta! Cas, Dawn and Lisa!
these ideas are better Tham I have heard on any clutter channel
I can relate to this! A few minutes sounds doable between working full time and momlife
I’m such a ladybug too!!! Love you both!!
Yay! I'm a clutterbug fan. Excited to see this collab!
Cas is my favorite organizer!!!!! Love this collab!
My husband dumps things on top of the microwave by the back door. I put a large wire basket there and most items end up in it now. When you can’t open the cabinet above it magically gets sorted. These little hacks work so well!

I had to stop putting a lid on certain things for my husband because if they have them he won’t put it back lol that’s reminded me of him…
I literally gasped when you said you left the bag in the toy room! I’ve done that before and my kids were NOT happy!! 😂🤣😂
15 minute chunks.....yes, I can do that. Otherwise I am overwhelmed. Thanks for this Rachel.
Cas is the best!
Dana K. White from A Slob Comes Clean is also amazing and works on some projects with Dawn (Minimal Mom) and Cas. Check her out!
This is totally me too!! I'm working on the kitchen today (the kiddo went back to school). Such great advice as always clutterbug mama!!
This is so funny and validating. I love you mentioning throwing the vacuum cord at the vacuum and being done. My husband needs to see this video so I can show him.... see, I'm a ladybug and that's okay. Thank you both!
Important documents go in a fireproof box.
CASS!!! :) Great Video, God Bless Everyone
I love when she said ladybugs have a weird scent. I had an apartment infested with them and they smell horrible! Especially when they immolate themselves by landing on the halogen lamp...
Cass is so hilarious!!!🤣😂
I love her the Clutterbug!
OMG!!! Cas!!!
Great video.
I'm helpful for Cas's clutterbug styles. It has helped me to understand my husband more. I love decluttering first and having less to organize. My problem was the I organized EVERYTHING and didn't realize that I had too much sturff.
I've been watching Cas long enough that I could also figure out Rachel's style after the first couple questions.
You should have the FlyLady on next!
Great advice wow
Loved this conversation... I am a ladybird too so some good tips here.
Thankyou
