- The plaintiff and defendant met at school, and they ended up becoming roommates. He says the defendant started dating someone who had a girlfriend, which caused some tension between the plaintiff and defendant. The plaintiff says the defendant moved out without paying rent, so he’s suing for rent and damages. The defendant argues the plaintiff smoked weed from morning until night. She’s countersuing for moving expenses.

Judge Mathis is really contradictory on some of these cases. In other cases he's told people if they felt unsafe they would have moved. But she says she felt unsafe so she moved and he says "nobody forced you to move." On the flip side, she admitted to agreeing to find a roommate before leaving and left anyway when she couldn't. He's decided cases on that before.
I really think he just didn't like either one of them because both politely refused to let him talk down to them. First when he was complaining that the defendant speaking wasn't enough activism, like that's not what he does. Then when he tried to bait the plaintiff into an argument by calling him "Mr. College Man," and all he said was, "okay." Judge came in to make a scene that day and neither one took the bait.
Because she said she had asthma but smoked it with him. Her defence was contradictory

That's a stupid major...its just say I need to finish school quick and get a degree...that shouldn't even be a major...you can't do anything with it...
Just off the top of my head, you can do: Education, museum researcher, historian, entertainment, law, public relations, human resources social work or journalism. A General Studies degree just says you went to college. A degree in African American Studies or Black Studies says that you've worked to become an expert on the history or culture of Black Americans. You wouldn't tell someone who majored in History their degree was worthless despite the fact that it is guaranteed to focus on a eurocentric version of history. It's a degree that often combines history and sociology. It's a lot more useful than you think.
