Thanks mate, you're welcome! I'm glad that I could help you. Yeah I wasn't too keen on trying to source another one. Especially seeing that the parts are getting a little harder to find and rather expensive now for 25-30 year old parts. Thats awesome man! 😀✌
Hey brotha, so my headlights won’t work going up and down at all, the motors and wiring all show full voltage when I checked, but when I press the button, they do not activate, my dash light and rear taillight running lights do not work as well, however the headlights do turn on and work, I just have to manually put them up. I ordered a new turn signal switch assembly to see if this fixes anything. Any tips?
Hey man, one of my headlight motors work completely fine and go up and down , but my left headlights motor only wants to spin one way so it goes up but won’t go back down because it is trying to spin one way instead of going back the other way, do u reckon this would be a relay problem?
Hey mate, it wouldn't hurt to open the motor up inside and give the tracks and contacts a careful clean like in this video. Maybe first get the schematic/wiring diagram, unplug the connector and test your resistance with a multimeter for the ground points that go to the body. Check these are ok, clean the earth points. Check 12v power supply and the switch is working as it should. Do you electrical checks to the motor and failing that open the motor up to inspect, give it a clean. Hope that helps. It's been a while since this video. Check the schematic diagram to where to start looking, checking things 🙂
I have questions sir, what if the motor is still work but the motor head was spining when activated? And make my pop up lil bit late compare to the other one.
Hi Eka, Have you tried manually adjusting the pop up headlight with the turn knob one way or the other a bit? I've found adjusting the position slightly manually can help with this, so once adjusted a little the right amount, both pop ups usually work in sync. I really hope this helps, and that you are able to fine tune yours to work properly.
I believe the grease that would be ideal is electrical contact grease / di-electric grease should do the trick. You should be able to buy some from most auto electrical/electronics stores. Hope this helps ✌
Hey mate, This sounds electrical, like maybe a relay/switch is not triggering the pop ups to turn down at the switch, or the relay switching device part of that circuit isn't working as it should. You may need to try swapping relays to see if one isn't working properly and consult a wiring diagram of the circuit to understand where to look. Hope this helps you a bit, at least point you in the right direction 🙂
Thanks for posting this! Just got my headlights working again after cleaning them up following this video. Saved me $120 and driving happily again!

You legend. Mine works perfectly now
You're welcome John, that's awesome 🙂

Nice
do you happen to know what grease is used in the motor?

What kind of grease did you use to reapply?
greasy grease
Hi
My 180sx don't down the headlights after I turn off the lights.
I don't now if the problem is in the pump or in eletrical part
Can you help me?
